Highly recommend Cypress Creek Animal Hospital. When my dog wandered off one evening (after losing her tag with her name and my phone number 2 days before), the people who found her had only the phone number on her rabies tag. Dr. Henry called me at 10:30pm to tell me where my baby was and gave me the phone number of the people who found her. Dr. Young has been amazing with my baby! Dr. Henry and Dr. Rice (and the techs and front office staff) are SUPER! Sherman (our 13+ year old Pekingese) became very sick with pancreatitis in mid-February. I recently visited CCAS with a kitten that had been injured on the highway. Rushing in with this hurt little one, I was immediately seen and the kitten was evaluated by Dr Henry. My dogs have received the best of care for the last 12 years. Dr. Henry was able to save us trips to Austin by having the right equipment to test our dog's eyes. He spent over an hour on the phone with me when it was time to make a decision to put our dog down. They were so considerate and helpful in a difficult situation. This staff has taken the upmost care of all of our pets from Thomas the pound cat, to our Scottish Fold cat, to our Grand Champion Shih Tzu to our newest edition, Gigi the Toy Poodle. We've been using Cypress Creek Animal Hospital for several years, primarily Dr. Young, and have found her and the staff to be great. All the assistants are very pet oriented, they are very thorough, but do act money hungry and suggest unnecessary testing, etc. Our two dogs get out of our car and run into the clinic when we take them, much unlike some past experiences in other towns. Whether coming in for an annual or calling with a frantic "I'm on the way" the staff and doctors are kind, compassionate, accommodating and professional. They do not push unnecessary tests or procedures, nor are they alarmist in their treatment plans. I love that Dr. Young wisely adopts a "wait and see" approach to minor complaints. Yes,Once again I am extremely pleased with the treatment at Cypress Creek. My dog tore her dew claw this afternoon and needed immediate care. The receptionist got her in this afternoon (same day)with no problem with Dr Ainsley. I was scared they may have to sedate her to take it out and would cost me many bucks. He was so funny and treated her with compassion and care. Not only did he do the removal under a local, but was finished in 5 minutes! My baby's home with her buddies tonight and will sleep well not having to spend the night in the hospital. Thanks you guys!! The whole staff rocks! My boyfriend and I were in Wimberley for his birthday this past weekend. We brought my 2-year-old chihuahua/shitzu mix along with us. He has seasonal skin allergies that decided to flare up in a monster rash. I brought him here first because of the handful of good reviews about the care that pets receive, and despite the negative reviews about the staff. I should've heeded those negative reviews. We arrived at 7:30am, opening time, hoping to get him seen as soon as possible. The receptionist was curt, wouldn't make eye contact, and didn't even bother to look at my dog. Even after I told her our story - that we were from out of town and came there hoping they could fit us in, she still asked me if we had an appointment. She shoved a clipboard at me, told me to fill out paperwork, and said that he wouldn't be seen for at least two more hours, all in the same sharp, inconsiderate manner. We left, looked on the map, saw another vet clinic a few miles away, and thought we would give it a try. The contrast was like night and day! I'm so glad we decided not to stay at Cypress Creek Animal Hospital, and to go where my dog was welcomed with big smiles and genuine interest. Perhaps the actual care at Cypress Creek would have been great, but we'll never know because I'm not interested in putting my dog's well being in the hands of a clinic that isn't concerned about how it's clients/patients are regarded from the start. Dr Henry and his staff of vets,technicians,administrations are all superb! Dr Henry went out of his way to help us with our precious cat and stayed late one night (7pm)to  see her for an emergency. He took such good care of her over the next three days and called to give me updates through out the whole time she was in there. Called them to bring my dog in. Told the (older sounding) woman who answered that my dog had just been hit by a truck. She asked if I had an appointment. Um nooo, she just got hit.
