The staff at Frenship Veterinary Clinic also believes strongly in educating our clients on preventative medicine for pets and pet health care. We would rather see you prevent illness and pet disease than have to treat it.

In addition, we not only want to have a professional relationship with our clients, we also want to be friends with our clients.

We used them to get our puppy fixed! They was amazing for this by all means. We drove out of area just to use them. They kept us up to date on his surgery from beginning all the way to the end of recovery and up until we picked him up. Amazing and was very friendly and nice. I’d use them again. Our pup is now a year & 3 months so.

It has taken me this long to be able to even talk about my yorkie, Prissi....we lost her on Oct 11th, 2016.after a 6 month uphill battle with kidney failure. DrSteve , Dr Katie and their amazing staff...
It has taken me this long to be able to even talk about my yorkie, Prissi....we lost her on Oct 11th, 2016.after a 6 month uphill battle with kidney failure. DrSteve , Dr Katie and their amazing staff were so kind and compassionate to me and to sweet Prissi..and I knew they all grew attached to her .Dr Steve shared everything he planned to do in treatment of her..and went over her many labs and tests..and shared copies with me.I have nothing negative to say about her care and... I know Dr Steve pulled out everything he had from his medical experience to help our little girl. He was very open with me and told me clearly what to expect as we went thru this difficult time..The techs and girls at front desk were so very kind to me..before and after..and I thankyu so much. ONly one thing I wish I could have seen after we saw what was happening to Prissi after ONE chewable dose of a flea med..Bravecto..is for Frenship to at least temporarily take this brand off the shelf..and Dr Steve do a little more investigation on that particular drug brand. I did..I very much got an education on that ..enough so..that I am convinced...in spite of discussions with Dr Steve to the contrary..that if I hadnt given her that one chewable..Her kidneys would still be functioning.I do not fault Frenship or Dr Steve..I couldn't have asked for any better care for her thru a horrible time....what I want to convey to other patient's Human mommies and daddys....when you buy a new flea preparation..do your research on it FIRST..know what yu are giving your pet..I am only one of many thousands who this happened to..yes..there are many dogs who had no issues on it....but many more whose pets are with Prissi at Rainbow Bridge..just do your due diligence and look it up...PLEASE...I dont know if Dr Steve will leave this on here ..but again..Dr Steve and Frenship is an excellent clinic/hospital to take your furbabies!! So much I could say about my 1 and only visit to this vet. My feedback to y'all is that you need to do a better job at making your customers (dog owners) feel like you actually care! To some people these animals are part of our family and the loss of a pet is extremely painful! I felt like the vet was just ready to go home and didn't fully asses the situation when I took in my sick puppy. He just diagnosed him with the first thing he thought and moved on. Well It was a misdiagnosis!
When we were going over all the charges on our bill the vet doctor didn't know for sure if a "shot" we were charged for was something my dog had actually received. The vet said "this is a shot which I'm sure someone gave to him but I'll make sure, you wouldn't be charged for it if we hadn't done it". WHO SAYS THAT!? I've never been to a vet where they didn't know for sure if something that I got charged for was actually done.
Also if you run tests and X-rays make sure you show it to the dog owner. I know we aren't all experts at reading X-rays but it just shows you are attempting to help us understand what is wrong with our babies when you do it.
My baby is now gone which I'm extremely heart broken about. I hope that you take my feedback in hopes to avoid making someone else feel like you didn't care enough to do everything in your power to save the life of a loved one.

Growing up we always took the family pups to Dr. Steve so of course when I got my own babies there wasn't a question about where I would go. Missy and the front desk ladies are always so sweet and all the technician are incredibly helpful. Dr. Steve always answers all of my questions (trust me, I have a lot) and you know that he really cares and wants what's best for your fur babes. I will NEVER take my dogs anywhere else for anything! I'm always greeted with a smile and I know that Annie and Otis will always be taken great care of.

FVC was not my first choice; I wanted somewhere closer to Tech's campus and relied upon the recommendations of Lubbock locals (both of whom held administrative roles at TTU). However, it was ultimately a Yelp review that led me to FVC.After adopting my dog from a no-kill shelter six months ago, I opted to stay with my mom's local tried and true vet in Denton, Texas. Disenchanted after two godawful experiences there (not anticipating the potentially deleterious effects of taking my fur baby off of a medication for a chronic condition, prescribing the wrong dosage based upon my dog's weight, and charging me extra to correct the medication), I was determined to find "the" vet for us in Lubbock, somewhere near Tech's campus.The vets referred to me by Tech's faculty failed to return my phone calls. Their glossy, professional websites offered me an e-mail address which to contact, but I never heard back.I scoured Yelp in search of "the" vet. It was a review of FVC written three months prior, documenting how one of the practice's vets followed up with a pup's owner following its appointment and ultimately summoned assistance to dig an elder dog's grave following the family's tragic loss. You don't come across such unbridled compassion and selflessness, nevertheless from a paid practitioner. I knew this was the vet.My experience at FVS was phenomenal from start-to-finish. The vet and vet tech genuinely care; they offer dynamic, comprehensive insights and keep the "big picture" in high regards. They thought ahead, and were careful to share the prices for additional tests/medications with me before performing or prescribing them. I have found a lifelong friend in the vet tech, Megan, and a trusted resource in the vet. Even the desk woman put a smile on my face. It was she that phoned me a week later to ask how my fur baby was doing and if I had any follow-up questions.You won't find a vet or clinic like that at FVC anywhere else. They absolutely set the standard.

We moved to Lubbock a little over a year ago and found this nice vet clinic online as we scoured the various clinics in town. We have been very happy with the staff and vets at this clinic. In our short time in town we had to visit the vet several times as our animals needed vaccinations or to be looked at for possible ailments due to age or injury. They have been very patient and listened as we tried to explain our concerns. In this time we were glad to have them as our vet when we needed to put one of our beloved cats down after 15 years in our care and they were so great with the whole process and letting me sit with my cat afterward. They have also been there as we welcomed our first dog into our family after waiting many years to make sure it was the right time to take on the responsibility of dog ownership. I feel they try to keep down the fees associated with each visit and give us all the information and treatment options available when trying to make the best decision for our pets. The staff has been great at getting answers to questions we call in about and calling us back with results as needed. Overall we have been happy with this clinic so far. Thanks

We have been going to Frenship vet for about three years now. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. The vets & staff are very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. The prices are competitive and they have worked with us on payments in cases of emergency. They are like family as we are there a lot because I have five dogs and a cat!!

Frenship Vet Clinic is the ONLY place I will take my fur kids. I've been going there for over 12 years and they have loved every one of my babies as much as I do.
I recently lost my oldest boy that had been seeing Dr. Steve since he was 6 weeks old. During Taco's illness, Dr. Steve was very kind and concerned, even calling to check on Taco several times during the duration. Dr. Katie was on call the night Taco passed and she was so sweet and caring to us and him.
Dr. Steve and Dr. Katie will continue to be my vet of choice for my current kids and any I may be lucky enough to take care of in the future. Missy and all the vet techs and assistants are wonderful people who truly love animals. I very much appreciate everything they have all done for me and my kiddos.

Frenship Vet Clinic has gone above and beyond for me and my great danes dozens of times during the many years I have seen them. Dr. Stephens and Dr. Ford have both called me directly to answer questions on both weekends and holidays. I had a puppy that was diagnosed with Parvo just days after picking him up, and the wonderful doctors and staff at Frenship Vet Clinic took excellent care of him for 8 long days, allowing me to visit all the time and called me with updates daily. He is now 2 years old an still gets excited when he hears Dr. Steve coming to our exam room (he's always spoiled him with treats). They have been there for me during the heartbreak of loss, and even sent help to dig a grave after one of my dogs passed away in the midst of a large blizzard. I have never known a more caring or invested group of people in one office. Even though my dogs can be more than a little difficult, they always greet them by name, with a treat and a smile, as soon as we walk in the front door. I can't imagine taking my boys anywhere else!

My puppy was diagnosed with hip displaysia and Frenship Vet clinic was my third opinion and from my perspective Dr. Ford seemed confident about doing an FHO surgery even though it's for dogs up to 40 lbs and my puppy was 60 lbs. Dr. Ford said it would be fine and my puppy would recover fast. First my puppy seemed fine after the surgery but her leg never got better and ended horribly. Also don't leave your dog there to see if they have a UTI and want a pee sample or state they should stay there as if it's "simple" they will run additional test and not confirm with you price and procedure. So a pee test became 140 bucks. I might be the only one to have a horrible experience here but this review is really for people whose dogs have hip displayia if they are over 40 lbs do your research and confirm the pros and cons (I did and trusted Dr. Ford) so this horrible experience doesn't traumatize you like it did with my family.

Dr. Steve and Dr. Katie are the best Vets in Lubbock. They genuinely love all seven of my furbabies (2 dachshunds and 5 cats). I used to go to another vet which just treated my animals, but the whole staff at Frenship Vet Clinic treats my pets like the "kids" they are to me. I won't go anywhere else and recommend Dr. Steve and Dr. Katie to anyone who really wants their pets treated with love and care.

After taking my cat to two different vets in Lubbock I decided to give this one a try. Best decision - not only did they figure a diagnosis, but they gave me a treatment plan for my cat that isn't just "here, take this pain meds." They treated me like family and truly took the time to comfort and understand everything. I will forever go to this vet!!!

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to receive a rescue from Frenship Vet clinic. They have been very good to remind me when my companion needs to be evaluated and receive her shots. They absolutely set the standard.

My experience with Friendship Vet Clinic has been all positive. They have given very prompt attention from the time you call for appointment till you finish your visit. I have been impressed with the staff friendliness. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinarian.

We moved to Lubbock a little over a year ago and found this nice vet clinic online as we scoured the various clinics in town. We have been very happy with the staff and vets at this clinic. In our short time in town we had to visit the vet several times as our animals needed vaccinations or to be looked at for possible ailments due to age or injury. They have been very patient and listened as we tried to explain our concerns. In this time we were glad to have them as our vet when we needed to put one of our beloved cats down after 15 years in our care and they were so great with the whole process and letting me sit with my cat afterward. They have also been there as we welcomed our first dog into our family after waiting many years to make sure it was the right time to take on the responsibility of dog ownership. I feel they try to keep down the fees associated with each visit and give us all the information and treatment options available when trying to make the best decision for our pets. The staff has been great at getting answers to questions we call in about and calling us back with results as needed. Overall we have been happy with this clinic so far. Thanks

We have been going to Frenship vet for about three years now. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. The vets & staff are very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. The prices are competitive and they have worked with us on payments in cases of emergency. They are like family as we are there a lot because I have five dogs and a cat!!
I highly recommend Frenship Vet!!

Frenship Vet Clinic is the ONLY place I will take my fur kids. I've been going there for over 12 years and they have loved every one of my babies as much as I do.
I recently lost my oldest boy that had been seeing Dr. Steve since he was 6 weeks old. During Taco's illness, Dr. Steve was very kind and concerned, even calling to check on Taco several times during the duration. Dr. Katie was on call the night Taco passed and she was so sweet and caring to us and him.
Dr. Steve and Dr. Katie will continue to be my vet of choice for my current kids and any I may be lucky enough to take care of in the future. Missy and all the vet techs and assistants are wonderful people who truly love animals. I very much appreciate everything they have all done for me and my kiddos.

Frenship Vet Clinic has gone above and beyond for me and my great danes dozens of times during the many years I have seen them. Dr. Stephens and Dr. Ford have both called me directly to answer questions on both weekends and holidays. I had a puppy that was diagnosed with Parvo just days after picking him up, and the wonderful doctors and staff at Frenship Vet Clinic took excellent care of him for 8 long days, allowing me to visit all the time and called me with updates daily. He is now 2 years old an still gets excited when he hears Dr. Steve coming to our exam room (he's always spoiled him with treats). They have been there for me during the heartbreak of loss, and even sent help to dig a grave after one of my dogs passed away in the midst of a large blizzard. I have never known a more caring or invested group of people in one office. Even though my dogs can be more than a little difficult, they always greet them by name, with a treat and a smile, as soon as we walk in the front door. I can't imagine taking my boys anywhere else!

My puppy was diagnosed with hip displaysia and Frenship Vet clinic was my third opinion and from my perspective Dr. Ford seemed confident about doing an FHO surgery even though it's for dogs up to 40 lbs and my puppy was 60 lbs. Dr. Ford said it would be fine and my puppy would recover fast. First my puppy seemed fine after the surgery but her leg never got better and ended horribly. Also don't leave your dog there to see if they have a UTI and want a pee sample or state they should stay there as if it's "simple" they will run additional test and not confirm with you price and procedure. So a pee test became 140 bucks. I might be the only one to have a horrible experience here but this review is really for people whose dogs have hip displayia if they are over 40 lbs do your research and confirm the pros and cons (I did and trusted Dr. Ford) so this horrible experience doesn't traumatize you like it did with my family.

Dr. Steve and Dr. Katie are the best Vets in Lubbock. They genuinely love all seven of my furbabies (2 dachshunds and 5 cats). I used to go to another vet which just treated my animals, but the whole staff at Frenship Vet Clinic treats my pets like the "kids" they are to me. I won't go anywhere else and recommend Dr. Steve and Dr. Katie to anyone who really wants their pets treated with love and care.

After taking my cat to two different vets in Lubbock I decided to give this one a try. Best decision - not only did they figure a diagnosis, but they gave me a treatment plan for my cat that isn't just "here, take this pain meds." They treated me like family and truly took the time to comfort and understand everything. I will forever go to this vet!!!

I couldn't have been happier with all the people at Frenship Vet. Everyone was friendly. Katie, the vet, was very informative and took her time and allowed me to ask all the questions I wanted. She was not rushed. Plus they got us in the same day I called for an appt. Would recommend to anyone.

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to receive a rescue from Frenship Vet clinic. They have been very good to remind me when my companion needs to be evaluated and receive her shots. They take great pains to be sure that she is current on everything, and remains a healthy pooch. I highly recommend them to all my friends who are looking for vet service.
