My dog had anesthesia before he had come to they put him in my vehicle I stayed in the parking lot they ended up having to give him a shot to counter act it. I wasn’t leaving until I knew he was ok. Very expensive vet we know go to Utah vetinary in a.f a lot cheaper. Read Less

I am disappointed that I have to leave a negative review, but I feel it my duty to warn others of this place. It has good reviews on Google, but please beware! We took our sweet dog to get some teeth removed. They left her sitting, for 2 hours, alone bleeding from her mouth. They had to sedate her because of this mistake, and instead of apologizing they charged us for the second sedation. The only useful thing they did was tell us to watch her for vomiting because they didn't know how much blood she had swallowed. We have had a few other experiences with trying to procure prescriptions from them with great difficulty. We certainly will be choosing another vet, and hope you'll consider doing the same. I was so happy with my visit that I decided I needed to do a review haha!... All I needed was to get my puppy a rabies shot. I had called around to many different veterinary offices to check prices and every else charged something like a "first time visit/exam" fee on top of the cost of the shot. The only other place I found that didn't charge a fee was the Humane society but they are a drive for me. I loved that Country View only charged me for exactly what I needed. The staff was very nice! We just switched veterinarians and so far our experiences here have been great! The staff is all very friendly and make you and your fur babies feel welcome. Again, a place which lives up to its 5-star reviews. I called around for rates for a spay for my beloved Lab. Country View was much, much less than Banfield (although you will be offered stuff which could increase the cost, but at least you have a choice). I chose to come here because of a positive experience I had with getting her rabies vaccine. I'm really glad I did.During pre-op, they were very patient in answering my gazillion questions (this is my baby we're talking about here). Afterwards, they were again very thorough in explaining post-op care. They even called the next day to check in. You can tell they love the animals they care for.Perhaps the biggest reason why I felt the need to write a sparkling review: I was accidentally overcharged $75 for a service I declined in pre-op. I didn't catch it when I paid, even when I later reviewed the itemized receipt. But when they called the next day, they admitted the error. I am a complete helicopter dog-mom (aka-a little crazy when it comes to them) and this was our first visit to this office. I came here due to the way I was treated when calling about a medical emergency my dog was having before we were ever established clients. My own vet at the time blew me off, despite the serious, emergent situation. When I called their office at Country View, they re-arranged their day to fit me in without ever having seen me before. That spoke volumes to me! During our first visit yesterday, Dr Madsen was very kind and professional. All three vet techs were amazingly sweet and helpful. I've been to a couple other Vets in the area but I always came back to Country View.  Especially for our last two visits, we worked with Dr. Madsen and he did all he possibly could to help our sick dog.  Even though our little doggie didn't pull through, I couldn't have been more pleased with how they handled the last few minutes we shared with him.  The Doctor and Staff were kind, compassionate and professional handling a very sad situation and our tender feelings.  Everyone at Country View did all they could to comfortably and kindly help us through one of the most difficult experiences pet owners go through. I recently transferred my pets here from another vet. I was not unhappy with the service at the other vet, but their lack of availability and never being able to get a appointment. I called here at 8 am and was able to get my dog in within the hour. I was never pressured into running tests or anything. I felt the Dr. was honest, cared and worked with integrity. I've waited until my dog saw another vet to make this review as honest and fair as possible. I recently took my dog here to have a bump on her chest looked at. They took a biopsy and told me there were some spindle cells that were found. I went home and researched spindle cells and was appalled by what I found. I felt uneasy about everything so I called back and requested to have the lab results so I could take them to another vet. I was given the results and it said the mass was only a lipoma, fat cells only, nothing about spindle cells was in the report. At this point they also gave me the estimate to have a marble sized (large marble) mass removed and it was almost 900 dollars. I did talk to the vet on the phone again and voiced my concern in the what I was told in the room vs. what the lab reports said. He then explained that he had some miscommunication with me and he did not see spindle cells but spindle nuclei. He was honest and owned up to the bad communication and apologized and amended my dog's record to concur with what he told me in the room. I still felt as if they were trying to make me worry unnecessarily so I would have the mass removed quickly by them at a high fee. I took my dog to the second vet for another opinion and nothing was found besides the fat cells concurrent with it being a lypoma, no spindle cells. That vet also gave me a estimate of just over 400 dollars, less than half of this vet and also said they didn't feel it was necessary to put my dog under anesthesia to do this procedure at this time because it wasn't really a problem. Take my experience how you will, but I wanted others to know so they weren't put in the same position. I don't feel like anyone should be able to exploit my love for my animal for monetary gain and get away with it. Read Less

I went to this place because the reviews were so good. I was then pleased when I met the doctor because he seemed so honest by telling us to have our animal put down at the Humane Society if we had to because it's cheaper. Turns out (thank goodness) we didn't have to. Anyway we decided to have everything we needed done; done here. By the end of everything they were saying we needed and had already done it would be nearly $1000.00. I started to question everything after I was told a $300.00 surgery ended up over $400.00. I was later told things happened that I wasn't even told that could possibly happen that would cost more. A warning would have been appreciated. I ended up calling the Humane Society because of vaccine and deworming questions. Turns out this is vet is telling me I need way more than I needed. In the initial visit I asked to please deworm for all worms. They said they didn't need to do a tapeworm because they doubted he had any. I wasn't so sure and left worried about it. I even brought it up with the girls who blew me off. Turns out he did have them and I had to go back in to get the dewormer. The staff is mostly young girls with serious attitude problems (not all of them). I mean people have questions. Pets are family. Also they were unable to answer most of my questions when I called. A lot of.....maybe, should be, and hmmm's (the reason I ended up calling the Humane Society). Before coming here call the Humane Society to see if they can do it. Also, after surgery I was told the doctor would call to check on my pet and he never did. I was saying that I was going to clip my pets nails when he got home and the doc said oh it's okay we can do it while we have him out. I was surprised at the offer...I can't believe I thought it was free. My bad, I should have asked, but just for two paws (because he was there for front paw declaw) was $23.00. I wished he would have told me he would charge. I mean I obviously said I could do it myself. I hope despite all of the good reviews you will take into account my experience. I am very pleased with this clinic. My two year old golden retriever had a seizure and I called panicking. They told me to come in right away to have her checked out. I was scared to be in that situation with my dog and they took great care of her. The next day the called me to follow up to see how she was doing. Country View has been the best vet we've ever seen. As a pet owner of many years we've been to a lot of them. The thing that I love the most is their caring and sensitivity to my dogs from good health til death. They truly form a bond with my dogs and care how they are doing. They go above and beyond by checking on my pets through phone calls etc. I feel that they make it easier for pet owners when their cherished dog passed on with a listening ear and validation of hard decisions made on their behalf. I want to express my gratitude to the staff at country view for helping me with my new litter of puppies today. I completely forgot to set an appt to get the puppies dew claws removed with my regular vet near my home and when I remembered to do that my vet wasn't willing to get me in before before their cut off. I called 4 other animal hospitals in the area and no one else was willing to remove the dew claws beyond 7 days. The team here was able to see me the next morning and perform the surgery. They are extremely knowledgable and so kind. We have have several major pet events, and have felt good about treatment options, pre- and during operation/treatment care, and especially about follow-up. I have been very impressed and supported by the time the doctors and the wonderful vet techs have spent explaining things to us. And while most veterinarian offices have good techs--the techs here are a cut above in knowledge and professionalism. I have brought my hunting dogs ( I raise, train and breed versatile hunting dogs ie; Deutsch Kurzhaar and Deutsch Drahthaar) here since I was a young boy. Both the Vet and his assistants care about my animals and know them by name. They show care and compassion to each animal and readily address each animals issues.
