This place gets you here for one thing, then charges you your life savings for all kinds of nonsense you don't need. They think because they are located on the high east side, they can charge you 5x the going rate at any other clinic. I took my kitty to the Humane Society of Utah clinic(where they really care about your animal, not your money) and paid $65 dollars for the same services that I had paid $300 for at Willow Creek the previous year for my other cat. It's just like a bad mechanic shop. You go in there for whatever, and they find a way to charge you for six things you didn't want or ask for! Never again! Read Less

SO MANY CHARGES!!!! WATCH OUT!!!! We are new to the area and I had heard so many good things about Willow Creek from my neighbors. I was excited to take our pup to get groomed. When I took her in at 7 am, I had to sign paperwork stating that I would be okay with her receiving vaccines if she wasn't up to date. I was SURE she was up to date, because we are diligent about making sure that she's up to date. Also upon signing, I was notified that she would have to have a $25 fecal test - for intestinal parasites. Well I didn't want to drive her home and risk being late for work, so I said okay. When I picked her up, she looked AMAZING. This is NOT a criticism of the grooming she received. However, I was asked to pay $165 for her $55 grooming session. $25 for the fecal test (mandatory), $55 for her grooming, $55 to "meet with a Dr." so she could receive the missing vaccine (but we did not receive ANY feedback about her health) and then $30 for the vaccine. What vaccine was she missing you're wondering?? The doggy flu. WHICH WAS NOT EVEN REQUIRED IN THE CLINIC UNTIL 06/01. We will NEVER go back to Willow Creek - and I suggest you look around if you care about spending unnecessary money on your dog. Read Less

Dr Orme does not even deserve one star. We took both our cats there for their vaccinations. The wait was extremely long. We went as a couple even though we were babysitting our grandkids so that we could comfort our kitties while getting their vaccinations. They took our cats in another room . I told the technician that Elsa was apprehensive because she was being vocal. We assumed that they knew how to handle cats.Elsa eledgely bit the technician ( we were not allowed in the room & didn’t see anything) Dr Orme told us in the waiting room & was accusatory of us. She told us it was our fault because we didn’t warn the technician. Our second cat had the same shot as Elsa. She was allowed to sit on my husband’s lap during her shots.Whatever happened to Elsa behind close doors is alarming. Her kennel was full of fur. She sulked for two days afterwards while Pip was ok.I will never entrust my cats to their care again. Read Less

Great place for grooming but..... Unfortunately this place is all about seeing how tgey can increase the bill. They keep asking for ridiculous things the latest of which is a fecal test on all dogs before they can be groomed. They are of course happy to do this for a price! We spoke to our vet and were told this is a completely unnecessary test in a healthy animal who is up to date on vaccines. It is sad that a place like this feels that they need to try and force you to use their vet services even when they are not needed! Read Less

From veterinary care to the utterly compassionate, respectful and painless release of my dear Annie to the heavens above at 14.5 years old, Willow Creek staff and facilities have been remarkable. Most recently, I have been using their Stay and Play and boarding services -- fantastic service for dogs who love social interaction and activity!! The front desk staff and Stay n' Play staff are always super friendly and positive. I had been impressed with Willow Creek until my last grooming experience and subsequent conflict resolution with them. I got my dog home from grooming and discovered razor cuts on her belly (not razor burn; actual cuts - she still has scabs two weeks later). No one had communicated to me that there was a problem. I tried to call to speak with someone about it. The receptionist (who was very professional) put me on hold and spoke with the groomers, whose response was "meh, it happens". There was no apology, no concern, nothing. The receptionist gave me the grooming manager's email address. I then sent a very well-spirited email saying I know mistakes happen, but that there should be a policy in place where groomers let owners know and are more apologetic about accidents or injuries that occur. The manager never responded to my email. I sent it again a week later saying "can you confirm you received this? I never got a response." Nothing. No response or apology or concern. I had one prior experience with them that I had shrugged off, which was that I paid for the full package grooming - but the staff was busy that day, so they didn't clean my dog's ears, do her anal glands, or trim her nails. they did a quick bath and haircut, so I took care of the other items on my own at home. Disappointed. I was excited about the full-service nature of the facility when I first found it, and have been shocked by these last two experiences. I am now moving to another groomer and veterinarian that are further from home, but take their clients and patients more seriously. Read Less

After having an absolutely horrendous experience at a Utah (County) vet clinic, I drove the extra miles up to Willow Creek Pet Center to have the dewclaws removed from 7 new puppies. I can't quite explain what a relief it was to be treated by friendly, capable, caring individuals. The staff greeted me and promptly recognized that I had 7 young pups. They took no time at all getting me back to a clean room...away from the waiting area (which can be quite stressful to a mother dog with new pups). I was waited on immediately by the tech...who was kind, compassionate and listened to my concerns. The vet was able to come in the room and explain all that he would be doing...including a quick exam on all pups and mom. The staff brought each pup back one by one to the room after the procedure. They allowed the mother dog to nurse the pups and did not rush getting us out. The front staff even came into the room and did the whole check-out in the exam room so that I didn't have to juggle mamma dog and puppies again in the waiting room. This clinic has helped take care of my dog for the last 3 years, and after having such a drastically different experience at another clinic....I can firmly continue to stand by my support of this business. In the end, this clinic was also $35 dollars cheaper and their service was above and beyond my previous experience from just 2 days earlier. I will continue to make the extra drive to use this clinic because of the exceptional care they give the animals (and people!) they serve. Read Less

They have amazing amenities when we have to board our dog - like complimentary baths, and a service where they send you a photo and text from your dog every day while you're away! After each stay, they print out a few photos for you, along with a little bag of treats for the road, and a report card on your dog's performance during their stay! Plus, they are excellent at sending you friendly reminders when your pet is due for their next visit. I cannot say enough good things about their service. They really care about your pets! Read Less

This review is NOT for the hospital. I just picked up my dogs after 6 days of boarding. They needed their vaccinations, which I'd discussed when I called to make reservations. Also discussed the need to have one dog (a lab) groomed. (Bath, brush, nails). When I dropped them off, was told there would be a $55 office visit PER dog for shots. Asked why I wasn't told this on the phone. Unapologetically, she "didn't know, but that's the policy." I suggested they charge me one $55 fee since 1. I wasn't told, and 2. dogs were boarding there together. Nope. Can't do it.We go to pick them up today, and my lab is shedding ALL OVER US. My daughter brings him by the door and you can see the hair dropping to the floor! I've already paid, so...I tell them that they need to take the charge of $45 off my card because there's no way that dog was groomed. Receptionist calls groomer on phone, then goes to back room, groomer comes up and tells me she did groom him, but she will brush him out again. I refuse this gesture because if she did indeed "groom" him she is terrible at it. She claims she bathed him, put him under the blower, brushed him, and cut his nails. The "groomer" told me she would get the "grooming manager.' After waiting about 10 minutes without anyone coming out, I left. My daughter and I brought the dog to the park, brushed him out, took pictures of the hair we got out and the nails that were not clipped. The other.dog has had horrible diarrhea since picking them up.I've been going to willow creek for years, with the exception of the last couple years when I was out of town. Once again this place disappoints.  This time they have lost my business for good.  I have 5 animals and have been slowly moving them over to Mountain View Animal Hospital as their annual checkups come due.   However I decided to keep my dogs checkups at Willow Creek because of their "vaccinations for life" program.  After looking at my bill and asking why I was charged for vaccinations they said you didn't say you wanted to use the program when you were in the room with the vet today - even though when I called and set up the appointment I specified I wanted to be on this program.  The fee for "vaccinations for life" is $60/per pet.  I just spent $30 on vaccinations.  So, unless you plan on them being your vet for 2+ years this is not cost-effective.   Sadly this is one of MANY problems I have had with them.  1.  Last year they "accidentally" vaccinated my dog twice in 30 days time.  He was in for boarding with my other dog who was due for her vaccinations.  So, instead of just vaccinating her, they vaccinated both.  2.  They gave me the wrong dosage of meds for my cat.  She was supposed to get 2.5mg and they gave me a prescription for 5mg.3.  They gave me a prescription with no administration or dosage instructions on the bottle.4.  Another time they tried to charge me triple for a medicine.  The prescription was for 3 syringes of medicine.  I have had it filled multiple times before and there was one price for all 3 syringes ($120).  This particular time they wanted to charge me the price of 3 syringes for one.  In essence the bill was $360 for what I normally paid $120 for.  5.  Lastly, and sadly, I had a cat that was in organ failure and needed him to be put to sleep immediately to relieve his stress and pain.  This was at about 7am.  When I called them to tell them I was going to bring him in they said they couldn't take him until 3pm.  When I called Mountain View Animal Hospital they were very understanding of the situation and immediately accommodated me having never done business with me in the past. The list sadly, goes on, and on, and on....They have ZERO control of their operations.  I feel sorry for the vets; they are actually good people; it's their operations staff that all need to be fired! I initially began patronizing this Veterinarian's office because my dog suffered a violent attack, needed emergency services, and Willow Creek was the only place nearby that was open. The care displayed by the doctor (Dr. Ahlstrom) for my dog was extremely comforting at a difficult time. Likewise, the techs I dealt with also demonstrated a great deal of kindness. After several return visits for complications due to my dog's injuries, all handled very kindly by staff, I decided to make it our permanent home for pet care. We've since been back for check-ups, vaccinations, and micro-chipping, as well as for my dog's prescription food. I am rating four stars rather than five because of a couple of very uncomfortable interactions with front desk staff, but I can easily see upgrading the rating with more visits and interactions. This place was highly recommended by my MIL. Went in with high hopes and discovered that, despite them being a well-run, knowledgeable business, they charge through the nose. I took my Malinois in for "eye goop" and Figured it would cost somewhere between $75-$100. No such luck! Got to check out to find out that it was actually $160! The vet was very thorough, which I appreciate, but didn't inform me of what anything cost. She did a scratch test and a tear test, but because she didn't explain that they were extra, I assumed it was part of the exam.  When I got to checkout and mentioned my surprise (and displeasure) at the cost, the receptionist didn't seem apologetic in the slightest. Honestly, we may not be going back. Like I mentioned before, their service was great and the vet obviously cared, but we can't afford to have them tacking on $100 plus every visit. Read Less

I am rating one star for each redeeming values. They have one-we had a chip put in our little 3lb Toy Poodle and it saved us when he wandered away last summer. Other than that, we had a horrible experience recently, I took my pooch in who was sick. After 40min of waiting, the vet rushes through the exam, chews me out in a condescending tone, then informs me my dog needs to be kept, hospitalized, and a battery of tests conducted. Then whisked him away and left me standing in the exam room. I walked back to the receptionist and asked if I could have an estimate of the costs. She excused herself and a few min later the vet walked out with an estimate listing several items totaling nearly $700 JUST TO ASSESS HIM. Then attempted to rush me into signing it so he could get started. Long story short, I said I wanted to speak with my husband first before signing. I called him and we both felt we were being taken advantage of. So I asked for my pooch and left. We took him to another Veterinary Hospital and were blown away at the difference in service, care, and consultation re. options. What could have been over $1,000 at Willow Creek resulted in $160, complete with rehydrating him, and sending us home with a special food and some antibiotics. My baby is almost 100% today. I get the feeling with a facility that nice in such a prime location, there's a hefty overhead that has to be covered every month. Price first, pets second. Sad. Read Less

I have to preface this review by stating that I have never used this pet center or even stepped foot inside of it. However, I would NEVER entrust them to care for my pets and I would caution anyone else to think twice before doing so. Earlier today around 5:00pm I was driving past the center on Highland Dr. when traffic in both directions suddenly stopped. Running in and out of traffic was a black and white border collie (not positive of the breed) with 3 different vet techs on the sidewalk trying to lure it back to them. Its tail was tucked between its legs as far as it could go, it was shaking and any time one of the vet techs got close it would start barking at them. Very clearly scared to death. The poor dog ran further down the road and traffic starting moving. About 20 minutes later I had to drive back down Highland. No vet techs or loose dog in sight so I'm hoping the situation was resolved without injury. No idea if the owner was informed of the trauma their dog experienced today but I would be absolutely LIVID if I found out, after entrusting my dog to their care, that his life was in jeopardy because of their negligence. Absolutely unacceptable. Read Less

Sad. Read Less

I took my rabbits in 8 days ago the vet said were fine and said my rabbit that died was a freak of nature or an act of God another just died in my arms while going to the Wasatch exotic pets center because she was dying come to find out she had e.cuniculi which is common in rabbits my other baby is being treated for it this vet could have saved my baby if she would have done a simple blood test which she didn't do not take your animals to it I heard dogs and cats wailing in pain it had nothing to do with treatment but to do with neglect and them caging them they are not ok they should be shut them down they do not care they just want your money do not go there I am reporting them Read Less

I am so disappointed with Willow Creek Pet Center. I have been coming here for years, and everytime I come in, the receptionists become more rude and unhelpful, the wait times become longer, and the vets themselves seem to be very unhelpful at times. There are two vets I like and respect, but everyone else working at this facility is so unhelpful and so rude !!! The cost of everything is so expensive. The facilities are beautiful and state of the art but the staff is far below what they should be. I will be switching my dogs vet ASAP. Read Less

I've been going here for years with my two dogs and two cats. This was the family vet growing up as well. I love that everything is always clean and that the staff are very friendly, especially the reception staff. Having 4 pets means you need a good vet and for me that's Willow Creek. I've had pretty much every pride cure known to dog done at Willow Creek and my boys always come home feeling relaxed. On top of having great service and awesome care, their dog training facility is good too. I've only used it for fun (agility training for my Sheltie) but he had a blast. It was fun to bond with him that way.

Read Less

When they went to any other vet they would shake in fear. At Willow Creek it's like they are going to see friends. They receive top notch veterinary care. The doctors and staff really do care. I have taken every dog Ive ever owned to Willow Creek.. I have always been treated with great and friendly care. They have got to know me as well as my dogs personally. Which always makes a huge difference and makes you feel very important and that you and your animal matters to them. The whole staff there is amazing and very Professional... When Im asked where to take their dogs or cats I highly Recommend Wilow Creek. I have even boarded my dog there as well as other family members of mine have...
