For 10 years have I entrusted my beloved dogs to SMPC, and I used to LOVE them. But unfortunately, since Dr Mahoney has been a part of the team I have had several breedings screwed up by him.
Several times they have put the wrong frozen semen into my bitches, and since I’m not allowed to oversee the procedure, I find out after they have inseminated my bitches with the wrong semen, and by then it’s too late to do anything about it.
I will STRONGLY recommend that you find a more professional repro vet than SMPC before you too become a victim of their professionalism!😳😳

The staff is the best. Our little Boston Terrier just had puppy’s and they had to do a cesarean on her to get the puppies out not to mention it was on a Sunday away from their family. I can’t say enough about DR Kolbaba as he never pushed us into anything and explained everything to us to make sure our dog was taken care of. They have gained a customer for life. I would also recommend DR Kolbaba to all my friends and family. Please keep up the AWESOME work and treating your customers like family.

However, they said they "work you in" for urgent matters/sickness but every time I've called the Vet Tech who answers tells me to go somewhere else. Every encounter, even in office, that I've had with a Tech has been awful. I'll be taking my dogs care to a company who will be there for ALL of her needs.

I love this clinic and I won't do any where else!! I live in Syracuse and the 45 minutes to an hour drive is 100% worth it!!! The staff is great and are great to work with!! When I brought my pit Ruger in for an emergency check-up, I was told I had to take him to a neurologist in South Salt Lake and they didn't even charge me a visit fee!!! I strongly recommend this anime clinic to everyone!!!!

My sweet(evil) darling(monster) dog Clue has horrific allergies. I've literally spent thousands on vet bills trying to figure what the heck is wrong and how to fix it. Im not made of money. So this was a huge sting. (Get a job you lazy bum!) I met a few other bull terrier owners who said, "oh allergies, this is the place to go" so i went. And i can't say enough good things. Sure i spent a couple hundred bucks having an allergy test done. But it was about a thousand dollars cheaper than what i was going to have to pay for an allergy test with the other speciality derm doc we had been taking her to prior. The diagnosis, she's allergic to pretty much everything. Mostly environmental. So they came up with a couple different plans for her. We're trying the cheaper route first and so far so good. I never felt like they were trying to get more money out of me but actually wanted to find a plan that would be best for my wallet and for the dog.

I can't say enough positive and I wish I could give them so many more stars. I can always count on Dr. Kolbaba And Dr. Gavin to take care of my babies, Dr. P is always in the background somewhere working his magic as well. They have met me at the office at 1 am and they have squeezed me in a busy schedule. Had a medical emergency today and I was seen right away, all my questions addressed and all of my fears put to ease. Financially, they don't gouge. This vet goes above and beyond and then some and makes your pet their priority NOT your wallet. I will never go anywhere else. If you are looking for a vet that cares this is the place. Their front office staff are wonderful ladies. Always smiling and friendly.

That is tough stuff but they BENT OVER BACKWARDS to support and help get this situation under control! I am not a novice at breeding and whelping, nor do I run to vet for every lil thing but THANK GOD they were here to catch us on this one! I have nothing to say but good things. In the line of work they are in things can go south in a hurry but integrity to the job is a honorable thing! Thanks!

It has been many years since we had a puppy/dog so finding a new vet can be stressful. I saw a mix of reviews and actually had a heard a few negatives from my neighbors about this not being the most compassionate place for owners so was a tad nervous but decided to give it a shot as I already had my appointment booked, luckily this was not my experience at all. I thought the front desk, the assistants and the vet were great. One negative is that I had a hard time getting a hold of them on the phone but did email and got a very detailed response and even a follow up from Hannah who was very professional and very helpful. She recommended their newer doctor Dr. Kolbaba. He was delightful. He was running behind and still seemed very at ease to answer all of my ridiculous puppy questions and also was so sweet to take the time to bond with my sweet Piper to make her feel comfortable for her shots. I don't have experience with the other doctors and will probably just stick with Dr. Kolbaba but I had a great first experience.

I brought my 12 year old shitzu in with a bad ear infection and a skin infection. After speaking with the doctor it was decided that I should put my dog down. She had no quality of life. She had lost all of her teeth, threw up 3 times a day, couldn't move without my help to get her outside and was miserable. He wasn't sure we could successfully treat the ear and skin infection. She was taken to the back and then a vet aide came and questioned why I was putting her down. She thought I should rehome her. I broke down in tears. Do they think I made this decision without any feeling. I had raised her from a pup and she was my sweet dog. How could they think I would put my friend down. How could they come in and question me after making such a difficult decision. I will never return here. Horrible feeling today about all of this

I am so incredibly happy I called & experienced her before just blindly setting an appointment. I recently moved to the Utah area in late February. My Maltese-mix is moving out this weekend. Her health & care is of the utmost importance to me. I've been researching Vets and boarding options in the area and unfortunately made South Mountain Pet Care my first call. Briana is extremely rude. If this place is that rude to human's who can actually voice their feelings, imagine how they treat your animal(s).

The staff is the best. Our little Boston Terrier just had puppy’s and they had to do a cesarean on her to get the puppies out not to mention it was on a Sunday away from their family. I can’t say enough about DR Kolbaba as he never pushed us into anything and explained everything to us to make sure our dog was taken care of. They have gained a customer for life. I would also recommend DR Kolbaba to all my friends and family. Please keep up the AWESOME work and treating your customers like family.

The veterinarians are wonderful! I loved taking my dog here for her routine exams. However, they said they "work you in" for urgent matters/sickness but every time I've called the Vet Tech who answers tells me to go somewhere else. Every encounter, even in office, that I've had with a Tech has been awful. I'll be taking my dogs care to a company who will be there for ALL of her needs.

I love this clinic and I won't do any where else!! I live in Syracuse and the 45 minutes to an hour drive is 100% worth it!!! The staff is great and are great to work with!! When I brought my pit Ruger in for an emergency check-up, I was told I had to take him to a neurologist in South Salt Lake and they didn't even charge me a visit fee!!! I strongly recommend this anime clinic to everyone!!!!

I have taken my Indi here since she was a year or so old. We have done primary care, as well as sergical insemination and C-section. Dr. Gavin and all the staff have been absolutely wonderful. They are so great with my pups and never make me feel stupid or crazy when I call them with even the smallest concern. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

My sweet(evil) darling(monster) dog Clue has horrific allergies. I've literally spent thousands on vet bills trying to figure what the heck is wrong and how to fix it. Im not made of money. So this was a huge sting. (Get a job you lazy bum!) I met a few other bull terrier owners who said, "oh allergies, this is the place to go" so i went. And i can't say enough good things. Sure i spent a couple hundred bucks having an allergy test done. But it was about a thousand dollars cheaper than what i was going to have to pay for an allergy test with the other speciality derm doc we had been taking her to prior. The diagnosis, she's allergic to pretty much everything. Mostly environmental. So they came up with a couple different plans for her. We're trying the cheaper route first and so far so good. I never felt like they were trying to get more money out of me but actually wanted to find a plan that would be best for my wallet and for the dog.

I can't say enough positive and I wish I could give them so many more stars. I can always count on Dr. Kolbaba And Dr. Gavin to take care of my babies, Dr. P is always in the background somewhere working his magic as well. They have met me at the office at 1 am and they have squeezed me in a busy schedule. Had a medical emergency today and I was seen right away, all my questions addressed and all of my fears put to ease. Financially, they don't gouge. This vet goes above and beyond and then some and makes your pet their priority NOT your wallet. I will never go anywhere else. If you are looking for a vet that cares this is the place. Their front office staff are wonderful ladies. Always smiling and friendly.

Had a lab bitch with massive hormonal issues(never went into labor)...ended up in a c-section and losing 5 of 8 pups. That is tough stuff but they BENT OVER BACKWARDS to support and help get this situation under control! I am not a novice at breeding and whelping, nor do I run to vet for every lil thing but THANK GOD they were here to catch us on this one! I have nothing to say but good things. In the line of work they are in things can go south in a hurry but integrity to the job is a honorable thing! Thanks!

It has been many years since we had a puppy/dog so finding a new vet can be stressful. I saw a mix of reviews and actually had a heard a few negatives from my neighbors about this not being the most compassionate place for owners so was a tad nervous but decided to give it a shot as I already had my appointment booked, luckily this was not my experience at all. I thought the front desk, the assistants and the vet were great. One negative is that I had a hard time getting a hold of them on the phone but did email and got a very detailed response and even a follow up from Hannah who was very professional and very helpful. She recommended their newer doctor Dr. Kolbaba. He was delightful. He was running behind and still seemed very at ease to answer all of my ridiculous puppy questions and also was so sweet to take the time to bond with my sweet Piper to make her feel comfortable for her shots. I don't have experience with the other doctors and will probably just stick with Dr. Kolbaba but I had a great first experience.

I brought my 12 year old shitzu in with a bad ear infection and a skin infection. After speaking with the doctor it was decided that I should put my dog down. She had no quality of life. She had lost all of her teeth, threw up 3 times a day, couldn't move without my help to get her outside and was miserable. He wasn't sure we could successfully treat the ear and skin infection. She was taken to the back and then a vet aide came and questioned why I was putting her down. She thought I should rehome her. I broke down in tears. Do they think I made this decision without any feeling. I had raised her from a pup and she was my sweet dog. How could they think I would put my friend down. How could they come in and question me after making such a difficult decision. I will never return here. Horrible feeling today about all of this

I am absolutely shocked at how terribly rude 'Briana' is that answers the phone at the South Mountain Pet Center. I am so incredibly happy I called & experienced her before just blindly setting an appointment. I recently moved to the Utah area in late February. My Maltese-mix is moving out this weekend. Her health & care is of the utmost importance to me. I've been researching Vets and boarding options in the area and unfortunately made South Mountain Pet Care my first call. Briana is extremely rude. If this place is that rude to human's who can actually voice their feelings, imagine how they treat your animal(s).

He and his staff have helped my hounds with regular care, sports related injuries, and with their reproductive health. He and his staff are a very skilled and caring team.
