Great service.! Handled my sick pets with care, and respect. The veterinarian explained the condition and routes of treatment clearly and concisely. My lovelies are doing just fine now. The room and front lobby were clean. Staff was friendly and informed. Parking lot in a little tight but there is also space on the street. I felt well looked after here. ⚠️Be Warned! I enjoyed taking my cat to this clinic up until my last visit. The vet that had seen my cat previously many times was very knowledgeable & kind to my cat & though we waited long periods some times & the visits weren’t always perfect I felt the nurses & vets were kind & knew what they were doing. This last time I brought my cat in for a rabies shot, keep in my she is an indoor cat, she should not ever need a rabies shot nor need to keep them up to date but because she was going to the groomers to get a Lion cut for the summer it is required. We had been waiting for over 30 min & there had been a really loud barking dog in the other room that had already made this trip stressful for my cat but when the vet came in (a different one than I had seen) I wasn’t aloud 1 word he went right into a lecture about how he could believe I was bringing her in 2 years behind & how oh now I want to take care of it because... he proceeded to grab my cat stick her hard with the shot & left! I had some concerns with her diet that hadn’t been going as well as we had hoped even with the food they had recommended her stomach still felt kind of hard to me & a few other thing but now I was in shock! Even his nurse stood there for a few seconds in shock! I have never seen anyone act that way in that profession & claim they care about animals! I refuse to go back there despite the fact that the other vet was kind & knowledgeable because that was flat out unacceptable & I will not ever take the risk of that happening again! My poor cat does not like visits to the vet as it is & you can bet that was a trip she was traumatized from. Read Less

I have been taking my pets here for almost 30 years. They have always been good with and taken care of my pets. The doctor, and his staff have excellent PR skills both with the animals and their pets (humans). You can tell they care about each patient they see, whether it's for the first time, or a seasoned client. I wouldn't take Tuxx, or Miss Piggy anywhere else! Thanks for caring. Read Less

This place should be ashamed of them selves. They turn my dog away because they closed in a half hour and my 10 week old chihuahua puppy died one mile up the road from leaving their clinic. They call themselves veterinarian's the could have at least tried to save him but the weekend was just more important. Now I get to tell my three little girls that their puppy is in heaven. We moved to Layton the year you opened and have been taking our various pooches and kitties to you ever since. Two weeks ago we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our 15 and a half year old mini-Schnauzer Lacee. I knew she was failing the last three + weeks but just couldn't let her go. Dr. Whitby and his staff were excellent. They never pushed me to do it before I was ready. Dr. Whitby assured us she would not be in any pain, she just went to sleep after he gave her the anesthetic to calm her. My daughter and I stayed with her for as long as we needed. We have been going to this hospital for about 10 yrs now and we love it. They are honest with their diagnosis and suggestions and truly care about our pets. There have been times they haven't charged us for somethings because extinuating circumstances like when they gave our dog her shots and then found it she was so sick we had to put her down we didn't have to pay for the shots. We board our dog there and he always receives great care. We love Dr Whitby and Dr Richards. They are compassionate. They take their time and listen. The staff is also awesome. I am really happy that Dr. Summers has been added to the available veterinarians at Fairfield. I have a very shy long haired cat that was quite at ease with her during her regular annual check up. She took the time to give me a little extra advice regarding her care and feeding that I really appreciated. I recently took my dog to her to have some minor surgery and have her teeth cleaned.
