We have used this vet for the entire time we have had our furbabies. They mean the world to us and everyone here is always so amazing with them. Very professional, and they do excellent work. an important thing to mention is they don't ever press anything unnecessary. Other vets, if your pet has a tummy ache, they say "Bring them in and we will put them through the gauntlet of expensive tests!" We loved Layton Veterinary Hospital and took our dog there for 2 years before we moved out of state. They treated us so well and were really conscientious of our budget. They seemed very fairly priced for everything and we never saw any real exorbitant costs for any of the treatments we received. The girls at the front were always so kind to us, and were extremely knowledgeable whenever we had questions. Highly recommend this place and wish we could have taken them with us when we moved! We have been going here for 10+ years. We have brought 6 dogs here (Boxer, Pomeranian, Pug, 2 Min Pins, and an Aussie). We came from another local vet. Pricing here is very reasonable and we have never felt pressured into any unnecessary testing or procedures. All my dogs have been spayed or neutered and chipped here. No problems. I came in with what I thought was a problem but by the time we got there was not and the doctor didn't even charge us for the visit. My dog sustained a serious injury and I needed a vet immediately, I was referred by a friend and I was seen promptly. The vet bill was relatively cheap as opposed to other vets I've seen before. Service was ok. They are pricey and wanted to do all sorts of "tests" that cost over $100 each. When stuff was explained to me, I didn't get it in "Laman's terms", so I understood half of what was going on. I felt like we weren't getting anywhere so we switched vets. Read Less

This team of doctors and assistants were amazing to our family when our sweet baby Phillip got sick. The Doc knew there wasn't much they could do but he kept him comfortable. Susan was amazing, empathetic and so helpful in his care and passing. We picked up his ashes yesterday and again recieved amazing care. Then today we recieved a card with our precious babys photo on the front. My heart was sad and happy, all at once. Thank you for honoring him and taking care of our hearts during our loss. Read Less

The Veterinarian is friendly - but ordered a bunch of tests that I did not need and ultimately were more expensive than necessary for my feline who chews the insides of her arms - She's not allergic to anything - doesn't have worms - is an indoor cat - and after I researched it on my own I found that it is most likely Psychogenic Alopecia. Otherwise, each time I have gone they have been fast and friendly - thus the high rating. Read Less

Two stars because they handled my pup with care and I'm sure this will be blamed on the nurse. I brought my pup in for an exam and microchipping and left with an unnecessary round of vaccines and some stupid sales pitch on monthly heartworm preventive medication. I didn't realize that the breeder had already vaccinated my pup the week prior, but I brought in the health record. It clearly said Duramune Max5 on it, which unknown to me is the round of vaccines! The vet ignored this fact and charged me $50 for another round. Don't be a sucker for over vaccination for the profit of these people, do your research. I lost any trust in this place and will not be coming back.Read Less

I highly recommend Dr. Fawcett to anyone! He is so friendly and has such a calming manner. I love that when I bring my dog to the vet for his yearly check ups, he isn't scared when he sees Dr Fawcett and his staff. The personal service that is given to each and every pet is outstanding. Our American Bulldog gets excited to go here. She loves the Doctors and the techs as if all of them are family, they are friends. The service to the pet owners is always respectful and courteous. So much so, that all are on a first name basis. At Layton Clinic, you feel like family. Very importantly, unlike all too many other vetinarry offices that are overwhelmed by Pet odors, this clinic is always clean, and smells clean, without a heavy antiseptic fog.Very Important!
