This place's response to me via email appalled me. If you are a new client, don't even waste your time with calling or emailing as they basically won't even talk to you. They 100% strike me as too good for anyone who's not a referral. I wrote an entire intro of my rescued new girl (who seems healthy as can be) and I moving to the area and wanting to find a great relationship with a family vet (plastered all over their website). The response I received was only 1 full sentence (if that) stating "congratulations. We don't want to talk to you"....basically.
No reason why they couldn't accept new clients, no "call back next month b/c right now xyz is going on"....just "we won't talk to new clients right now". They didn't even apologize for not accepting, nor talking to me!
Maybe they are actually a good vet, but this is this is not how business is done. That is not a place I will EVER trust, nor take any loves of my life to. In fact, there couldn't be a clearer way of telling someone that they have the business they want and are fine without helping anyone else...not what they claim to be in business for (helping animals live their fullest lives ever...). Apparently not.
Again, if you have never been here, my experience would tell you to not even try...unless they change their policies and communication.

Dr. Doughty and his staff are like family. They have cared for all my animals since 2002. He has been with me when I unexpectedly lost my beloved pet and his staff have been there for us this year with hugs and tears as we have lost 2 more due to age related problems. Dr. Doughty works to make sure he understands the problem and that you do too. He loves our animals and provides the best care. He is also a great mentor as my daughter wants to join his profession in the following years. I can’t say enough about his staff as well. Their smiling faces and joy in our joy and sorrow in our sorrow makes them all family too. Love love love this whole Veterinarian practice!!

Every single member of this staff is amazing! My dog got hurt very bad 2 weeks before Christmas at 7:30 am. I called them immediately with my fingers crossed hoping someone would be there and they would be able to see my Charlee. When I called, they answered and told me to come right in. I knew it would throw their morning off but I was desperate. Right when I walked in, someone was there waiting and grabbed my dog and took her right back. Dr. Doughty was very very honest with me about the situation and let me make the choice what to do with her. I left her in their care for the day. Picked her up that night. She was better but still needed care. They let me bring her back every day that week while I was at work so they could watch her and relieve stress off of me. I could not have felt more care for my dog then what they did for her. I love bluegrass so very much for what they have done and continue to do for my dogs and my family!

Such a great place ! I called when they opened Monday morning and they had us in by 11 the same day. The staff is soo Great and so friendly. This was our first visit here and I expressed over the phone that my big fur baby is pretty Protective of my kids and myself when unknown men are around and they were amazing with accommodating us and my fur babies needs. The vet was respectful of her and had a great pet-side manner. We will definitely recommend blue mountain to everyone and will continue to go there for all our vet needs. Very reasonably priced as well.

We love going to Bluegrass. They are always so willing to get us in very quickly and answer all our questions. Dr. Doughty is so knowledgable and really cares about our pets and their comfort, safety, and health. He is caring and gentle and makes sure to do everything for your pets to trust him. His staff is helpful and kind and always willing to answer questions. A very clean facility and great staff! Recommend to anyone looking for a great vet to care for their fur babies!

Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't go to the cheapest people doctor I could find, I would go to the best. Dr. Doughty is the best! Definitely worth the price.

I used to take my dog to see Dr. Doughty when he was a a different clinic and was so happy to find him again. He is so caring and gentle with the animals and you can tell he cares more about their wellbeing and not making money off your animals illness. He didn't try and talk me into a bunch of expensive services that weren't absolutely necessary and really took time to explain my dogs illness and care options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The clinic is very clean. I will recommend him to all animal lovers and will be taking my animals there from now on.

We were a nervous wreck & a friend of ours referred us to go see Dr. Doughty. We were sooooooo impressed by Dr. Doughty & his friendly staff & we wish his office was in Carlsbad!!!! Thank you to Dr. Doughty and the staff at Bluegrass Vet Hospital for a stress free visit for me and my dog Jersey. Even though Jersey was only there for his yearly vaccines, Dr. Doughty took time to check his ears, mouth, heart, etc and even asked how our other dog was doing. The attention we were given and the calmness in the office made me think we were there only patient that morning. Then Misty told me they had 3 emergency walk-ins before us. Wow! Thanks for still taking care of our routine needs in a timely and professional manner, especially on such a busy day.

I hold the folks at Bluegrass Veterinary Hospital in the highest regard. They have always treated our Pearl and Garfield with genuine TLC. We appreciate them for their kindness and respect shown to Gunnar, Sonie, Melissa, and I. This morning we sent our Pearl Girl off to the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Doughty and his staff were amazing during our time of sorrow. We have had to make this difficult decision with our Allie Cat and our Luckie dog in years past. Their last moments were spent at two separate facilities. Neither of those facilities compare to the love and respect we were shown at Bluegrass Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Doughty administered a different and what seemed like a more humane technique to Pearl today. God bless each of you who have served our pets over the years. We will continue to bring our pets to you all.

Bluegrass Animal Hospital is the only place I'll take my pets in Northern Utah. Dr. Doughty and his staff are caring, knowledgeable and I know my pets are receiving the best care possible when they are in their care. His office is clean and accessible and Dr. Doughty has a broad referral base of emergency care specialists at his fingertips if needed. I've never had my own cat before, and this was my first experience taking my pet to the vet. l staff was super helpful at answering a lot of my questions before I even came in and they were so good with her once we got there! Dr. Doughty was great with my cat and showed me ways to take better care of her and answered all the questions I had. She didn't even fuss when he was vaccinating her. Thanks for being so great to my cat! I will be back!

I usually never write bad reviews but I went in to have my puppy looked at he had a bad limp for a week and it was 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday and it was kinda of an emergency. I went in a immediately felt like my puppy's problem was an inconvenience to their Saturday, I know that an x-ray takes about 15-20 minutes which I was hoping they would do it looked like he sprained something. All they did was walk him around for 5 minutes give me pain pills and charged me 60$. I didn't feel like they wanted to take the time to see what was wrong with him, I just had a bad experience.

Best vet in Utah. Staff is wonderful and always willing to help. They are very accommodating to your individual pet's needs. They are caring and understanding. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't go to the cheapest people doctor I could find, I would go to the best. Dr. Doughty is the best! Definitely worth the price.

I used to take my dog to see Dr. Doughty when he was a a different clinic and was so happy to find him again. He is so caring and gentle with the animals and you can tell he cares more about their wellbeing and not making money off your animals illness. He didn't try and talk me into a bunch of expensive services that weren't absolutely necessary and really took time to explain my dogs illness and care options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The clinic is very clean. I will recommend him to all animal lovers and will be taking my animals there from now on.

We were a nervous wreck & a friend of ours referred us to go see Dr. Doughty. We were sooooooo impressed by Dr. Doughty & his friendly staff & we wish his office was in Carlsbad!!!! He was awesome - he took the time to make us feel comfortable & explained in detail "Leilani's" medical situation. Thank you to Dr. Doughty and the staff at Bluegrass Vet Hospital for a stress free visit for me and my dog Jersey. Even though Jersey was only there for his yearly vaccines, Dr. Doughty took time to check his ears, mouth, heart, etc and even asked how our other dog was doing. The attention we were given and the calmness in the office made me think we were there only patient that morning. Then Misty told me they had 3 emergency walk-ins before us. Wow! Thanks for still taking care of our routine needs in a timely and professional manner, especially on such a busy day.

I refuse to go anywhere else! Bluegrass has done so much for me & my fur family! My little yorkie/chihuahua mix needed to be spayed and I was a wreck. Dr. Doughty sat on the floor with her to do her exam and made her & I so comfortable! My family takes all of their animals to him, and we would never go anywhere else.

I hold the folks at Bluegrass Veterinary Hospital in the highest regard. They have always treated our Pearl and Garfield with genuine TLC. We appreciate them for their kindness and respect shown to Gunnar, Sonie, Melissa, and I. This morning we sent our Pearl Girl off to the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Doughty and his staff were amazing during our time of sorrow. We have had to make this difficult decision with our Allie Cat and our Luckie dog in years past. Their last moments were spent at two separate facilities. Neither of those facilities compare to the love and respect we were shown at Bluegrass Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Doughty administered a different and what seemed like a more humane technique to Pearl today. God bless each of you who have served our pets over the years. We will continue to bring our pets to you all.

Bluegrass Animal Hospital is the only place I'll take my pets in Northern Utah. Dr. Doughty and his staff are caring, knowledgeable and I know my pets are receiving the best care possible when they are in their care. His office is clean and accessible and Dr. Doughty has a broad referral base of emergency care specialists at his fingertips if needed. I've never had my own cat before, and this was my first experience taking my pet to the vet. l staff was super helpful at answering a lot of my questions before I even came in and they were so good with her once we got there! Dr. Doughty was great with my cat and showed me ways to take better care of her and answered all the questions I had. She didn't even fuss when he was vaccinating her. Thanks for being so great to my cat! I will be back!

I usually never write bad reviews but I went in to have my puppy looked at he had a bad limp for a week and it was 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday and it was kinda of an emergency. I went in a immediately felt like my puppy's problem was an inconvenience to their Saturday, I know that an x-ray takes about 15-20 minutes which I was hoping they would do it looked like he sprained something. All they did was walk him around for 5 minutes give me pain pills and charged me 60$. I didn't feel like they wanted to take the time to see what was wrong with him, I just had a bad experience.
