We had been taking out pets to Burch Creek Animal Hospital for years, but after a recent experience we will never return. At our most recent visit we had to bring a puppy in for a booster shot, after her initial appointment a month prior. When they came to get our dog (since we had to wait in our car for 15+ minutes after our appointment time) they asked what they were supposed to be giving her and what shots they were doing. I was surprised, since I assumed it was in their records of what the booster shot was. The vet technician informed me that "unfortunately" they forgot to make note of her records and age the last time I was in the office, so I had to call my husband and have him find a copy and send it to me so that they would give her the correct shot.
On top of that, I was told I wouldn't be charged for the visit, only for the shot. However, when they went to bill me out they charged me for the appointment, and when I requested a copy of the records they gave me someone else's and I had to return to the receptionist to request my own records.
After this frustrating appointment I was asked by Burch Creek to email a copy of our dog's records, and when I did I also requested a refund of the office visit. The following day I received a call from the manager, Dara Stanley, who said she wanted to know what happened, but every time I tried talking she would interrupt me, refused to apologize, and made excuses for all of the issues. She told me that "mistakes happen" and it wasn't their fault for not having our dog's age or a copy of her records. I told her I understood that mistakes happen, but it comes across as unprofessional and incompetent, at which point she yelled at me to find a new vet and hung up the phone. Needless to say, we will never be returning to this joke of an animal hospital again. They are blatantly rude to customers and have no idea how to run a functioning office. Read Less
