Pinebrook used to be a good vet, however, I believe they now have accustomed themselves to the philosophy of "bill for the service, ask permission later". Brought my cat in for a shave for $75. Picked him up and the bill was $143. Vet office decided (without calling and asking myself or my husband) to add three services onto the visit. The staff assumed I would want these services, without asking me if I wanted or needed them before they went ahead and performed the additional services and billed me for them. I went to pick up my cat and Erin at the front desk was happy to bill me twice of the quoted amount. I asked her if she had tried to call me or my husband and she said no but the vet had tried to call in the past to tell me that my cat wasn't up to date on one shot. Funny, because I have no voicemail on my phone from the vet about any vaccinations.
After talking with Erin at the front desk for 15 minutes, she finally took off the exam, after I refused to pay for the exam (which I did not ask for), but would not release my cat unless I paid for the vaccine. Ended up paying $107 for a service which was supposed to be $75.
