White Pine was great with my first dog. I adopted a second and returned to White Pine for care because of the prior experiences, however on February 15, 2018, four women sat/stood from behind the desk and watched me carry my border collie through the set of two doors, a hand of mine covered in blood, and with me visibly upset/shaken up. It was not until I was literally trying to hand him over the desk to one of the four girls, saying "he was just attacked," before any of them moved to do anything. Our return visit two days later ended with the two front desk ladies starring at me as I said "have a good one" when exiting the lobby, with blank expressions and no words from either of them. I was pretty blown away by both interactions. My dog ended up needing a drainage tube and several stitches for his puncture wound caused by another dog and the antibiotics that White Pine placed him on proved to be extremely ineffective from the get-go. Having relocated to Wyoming for work two days after his drainage tube had been removed at White Pine, I discovered a large abscess right next to his puncture site. I was forced to rush him into an animal ER in Jackson Hole where I was eventually told that "his first antibiotics given to him essentially were never working and that's what caused the abscess". I was also informed that the "calming" medication that was prescribed for him to take in order to help with his recovery, was not the right kind, and was instead an anti-anxiety medication that he did not need. We received proper medical treatment, antibiotics and medications, care, and interaction from the entire staff at Jackson Animal Hospital. Do not take your beloved animal to White Pine Vet; I suggest trying other vets in the Park City and even Heber area, as you do have options. If you adopt from Nuzzles and Co, I still recommend taking your pet elsewhere (they run an adoption special for your pet's first check-up with White Pine) as I don't believe that even a free first check-up is worth visiting this office. The last photo included was taken after the Jackson Animal Hospital treatment, where he received 9 total sutures, 6 staples, new antibiotic meds, and the correct medication needed to keep him calm for recovery, in order to fix what White Pine had not done correctly before.
