This place is the worst to work with. I call to make an appointment to take my dog into and I am on hold for 30 plus minutes. Then the only appointments they have are urgent care visits, which are an extra cost.
When I did finally take my dog to the vet, the first thing the vet did to my sick dog was pull clumps of hair out of his ears. That was not the problem I was bringing him in for. Then he wouldn't listen to what I said and guess"bed side manner" is horrible. He treated me as if I was and idiot.
Then when I try to get heartworm drugs from a different supplier then from them, they drag their feet and don't want to pass the information on to the online pet pharmacy.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We went in for a emergency room visit with our cat in cardiac arrest and a blood clot which was paralyzing his back end. When we got there it took 20 minutes of us sitting in the waiting room with my cat struggling to breathe only to have the receptionist named Aspen act incredibly rude and unprofessional, when he stopped breathing and my mom yelled out for help she snapped back at her immediately. After our cat had to be put down and we were leaving I told her I didn't think it was very professional of her to act that way. To which she responded "you need to act with kindness too". She was very combative until I asked to speak room her boss in which she finally gave a half assed apology. We have been going to this vet for over 6 years and she single handely ruined this vet for us. With the way she responded, I was stunned. You work after hours during EMERGENCY VISITS, to have her respond that way speaks very poorly on payson family pet hospital. Not the position that she belongs in if she responds to crisis like that. Probably shouldn't work as the first person who greets you during emergency hour vet appointments.

By far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. If I could give a 0 star I would. First strike, I waited in my truck in the parking lot for 2 hours for a TECHNICIAN visit. Strike two, I again waited for an hour and a half for my visit. I had my 5 year old daughter with me who had come with me the week before and came into the building with me but today they told me she, again 5 years old, had to wait in the truck by herself. I understand the virus and respect policies but let's be consistent, I would've gotten a babysitter. I am a breeder and have 18 dogs so we were doing a lot of business there and spending a lot of money. Strike three, we took my mom dog in for an X-ray, waited for 2 hours again. I asked them to email me a copy and they said yes. After a couple hours I called because I hadn't received it and they were so rude about me asking again but agreed to send it. I waited again, now nearing the end of the day, called and again they were so rude and told me if I wanted them I would have to bring a flash drive in. So I did, another hour and 15 minutes later they brought me out my flash drive and said "we were able to email them to you". Last and final strike I had a test done on one of my dogs there that needed to be repeated. I had a letter from the establishment saying the repeat test would be free. I called to make the appointment and they said they didn't even have record of me getting the test. They searched for most of the day and finally found it, they had put my dog under a different owner. Now, they're saying I have to pay again. After a week and a half of calling I finally was able to get a hold of the manager. I sent her the form and she said yes that will be free. Long story short, I ended up paying for the test again just to be done with them. These are the main issues but there have been several through the years. I now drive 45 minutes to a vet, traverse pet care, who is amazing. They are never too busy to explain things, never a long wait, and their vets are really good, they've saved my dogs life twice with emergency surgeries from swallowing a toy. I will never go back to Payson Family Pet

A community cat had kittens on our front porch. We already have cats, and dogs. We took her in to get fixed before she had babies again. They were very helpful, answered all our questions. We came after 6 and several employees were disinfecting everything, very clean. the cat was treated with respect, even though she was a bit wild. I have used them in the past with feral cats and have been happy with the friendly staff.

We had to bring our cat in who had really labored breathing, I called to make an appointment- they were booked until Monday (today being Saturday) After they heard about his condition they made an appointment for him despite being booked. The Vet, Dr. Conrad, was so very patient and kind to Dexter, Patient with our questions, and conscious of our relationship with our cat. She suggested x-rays and possibilities of what could be causing his issues, to help us decide if we wanted to take X-rays and if it was worth it. We decided to get them, after she explained what was seen in detail, and what it meant, with potential options. She gave her recommendation only after we asked- and we agreed, It was clear he was in pain, with no solution. (Enlarged heart 5 times the size of a normal cat's and fluid around all his organs) We ended up needing to help our family cat along and out of pain with euthanasia. She offered us time, didn't force paperwork, didn't force payment, anything at all and gave us time to say our goodbyes. She was so clear about letting us be with him if we wanted, and staying with him throughout the process. She was conscious about telling us about prices once she knew that was a concern of ours. The biggest thing she did for us in all of this was handling Dexter, communicating, and expressing empathy with the utmost tact. We could not have asked for better handling, or love toward Dexter, and ourselves in this situation while coming to terms with the outcome. It has helped the grieving process when losing our only family pet. I highly recommend this place, it is clean, the staff is so willing to listen, and happy to help. You can tell they have passion for your pets, and really do want what is best for them and for you. Thank you everyone there who helped us today, it has made the pain a little easier to handle.

Caring, loving people! We have been bringing my daughter's pets, and my pets to Payson Family Pet Hosp for over 3 yrs. We love them! Every Dr and asst we have dealt with have been great. They explain things, help you see what options we have for effective for treatment of our pets.
Today we saw Dr Daniel Grant and Shannie. They took excellent care of my daughter's cat. They are so kind, patient and caring. We drive all the way from Provo and this is the only place we will go with our pets! Felicia and Rachael.

SO HAPPY WITH OUR EXPERIENCE! We had a very sick cat who was admitted to their hospital shortly after arriving. We were updated twice daily with a detailed report directly from the doctor. They explained to us cost before anything was done so we knew exactly what would be due at the end of services. Finally after discharge we took home a much happier and much more healthy cat. I would recommend them to anyone any day.

This is a great vet. They genuinely care about animals and try to make caring for your pet easy but affordable. Unfortunately our 14 year old baby girl had a tumor and we had to put her down. It was the hardest decision but they were very supportive and had a comforable lounge room to say our goodbyes. They also sent a sweet card with their condolences. We highly recommend this vet to everyone!

We have been with this clinic since we moved here in 2004 and wouldn't go anywhere else. We have had to have pets put down due to age and illness and it was very comfortable, we and the pet were treated with privacy and respect. All of the vets have been very knowledgeable and completely capable with any situation. We've had surgery done and they are very, very good. We take in rescue animals and the first thing we do is have a wellness check at the hospital. To them I say, keep up the good work.

I rescued a little Yorkie from an X family member who only used her to get puppies to sell. She had not been taken care of, Most of her teeth fell out when the Vet touched them. I had her spade and updated her shots.She was wonderful loving dog. When I moved to Utah County, I took her to Payson Family Pet. She was having trouble breathing, and on occasion she had trouble with her back leg. They treated her and me with such kindness and always told me the options, and let me decide what to do. Their advise was always good and right. We treated her for a collapsed esophagus, and some arthritis. I had her for almost 2 years, until she couldn't breath and couldn't get comfortable. Then they helped me re leave her of her pain. They were so kind and loving, the entire staff treated both of us like family.. maybe that's why they're called Payson Family Pet Hospital. I have much confidence in recommending them to anyone. They sure helped us physically and emotionally.

I love Payson Family Pet Hospital!!! I have ALWAYS got in with an appointment on short notice. I have one dog that is animal aggressive, and they always make us feel safe by getting us right back to a room. The one dog that I have that is animal aggressive... She is very old and had to have a surgery done by them to help stop mastitis infections. They were very good to keep me informed at all times, knowing that I was a wreck leaving her there. This dog is always a little uncomfortable in new places. I had to drag her in last year. Well happy to report when she went in for her yearly check up she walked in tail a wagging and happy to be back. I love their staff. Always smiling and laughing. And SUPER kind to the animals. I live in Provo and will never pick a closer place. I would rather have to drive 30 min to see them!! We are lifers!

We have had our dog for about two years. When we got her, several people recommended Payson Family Pet Hospital. We took their advice, and do not regret it. Our dog has had surgery, general checkups, and ill dog visits. She has received unfailing great care. The surgery on her nose had to have some stitches, and even in that very sensitive area we could barely see where she had been stitched, and now, no sign of it at all. The doctors are thorough and kind, as are the tech/assistant staff. Thank you all so much! I have referred people to this facility because it is outstanding.

These folks know what's best for my furry little friend. I took him in to have a few boo-boos taken care of, and they determined to postpone one of the procedures because it wouldn't be ideal in his current state. They very easily just could have done the procedure and collected my money, but they didn't! They did what was ethical and in the best interest of my furry friend. Definitely would recommend!

I have taken my pets here for years. Recently I had to have my 15 year old dog put down due to age. The vet, I think his first name was Sean, was very compassionate and kind towards me, my niece and our little dog. They examined my dog and told me the prognosis was grim after she apparently had a stroke of some kind. Poor old pup! Sean was very kind and spoke so gently to not only me but my dog too. After I decided the most responsible thing to do was to release my pup from her mortal body, they let us go in a room where there was a blanket on the couch. The gave us a little pager thing that we could push when we were done saying our good byes. One person wrote that after their dog was put down, "no one showed us out" Well there is a side door you can leave through, I was grateful for it because I was a wreck and nobody needed to see me bawling like that. The whole process was very peaceful for my pet and I wholeheartedly recommend Payson Family Pet hospital.

Everyone is always friendly and professional. We have boarded our dog there a few times and appreciate their "report card" that is given after a stay telling me how my dog did. I have interacted with three of the veterinarians and some of the staff. Each one of them have been kind and caring. The doctors are very knowledgeable and professional and took the time to explain everything that I had questions about. Sadly, two of our visits involved saying goodbye to two much loved members of our family. We had to have our older dog and then an older cat put to sleep. The staff and doctors were so kind. They let us take our time in saying goodbye and were very comforting in the things that they said and did. They were loving towards our animals, even though they had never treated them before. I have recommended Payson Family Pet Hospital to all my co-workers and family and friends.

Great veterinarian's office in south Utah County. Took my dogs there for the year we lived in Utah. Dr. Ipsen is our favorite. He performed a complicated spay on our older female and pulled teeth on our puppy. I was confident in him and happy with the outcomes. They were always kind and quick to call me with updates for both surgeries. Dr. Ipsen even called me personally which I greatly appreciated. Booking appointments was easy and filling prescriptions was too. Dr. Caron is also great and saw us for wellness exams. The only complaint I have is that Dr. Fillerup is often not personable and slow. The technicians are great and know their stuff! The office is always clean and smells nice. The clinic is AAHA accredited and very professional. They are even open for emergencies which was very comforting. Overall would absolutely recommend this vet to those in Utah County!

I paid hundreds of dollars for blood, urine, fecal exams. Ultrasounds and everything in between. They continued to tell me my dog had a urine infection. After several rounds of medication with no improvements I took my dog to another vet where he was diagnosed with a very severe cancer with a grim prognosis. I scheduled to have him euthanized with Payson Family Pet Hospital, and I will say that this was the worst experience of my life. After coming to terms with the fact that I had to lose my best friend the hospital did not in any way make this easy, or comfortable for our family. They had our entire sobbing family sitting in their waiting room for nearly half an hour doing paper work (which I had come in a week prior to handle). We asked if they would arrange for us to have a clipping of our dog's fur and they said they could get that taken care of for us. They took us to a room with a blanket on the floor and said they'd be back shortly. When they came in, they looked no one in the eye, they said nothing about our dog, they just said "you guys ready?" and injected him. They left the clippers in the room so that we could get a clipping of our dead dog's fur ourselves, never bothered to show us out, or anything at all. Just left us in a room. Not even a 'sorry for your loss' was uttered from their lips. I will never, ever bring another animal back there. They're cold and callous and clearly incompetent. My dog was in their office a minimum of 5 times in such a short span and they never could figure out his problem, while the other doctor felt him...during the initial physical, and located a mass in his bladder that was 3inches by 4inches. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone who actually cares about their pet.

This place is the worst to work with. I call to make an appointment to take my dog into and I am on hold for 30 plus minutes. Then the only appointments they have are urgent care visits, which are an extra cost.
When I did finally take my dog to the vet, the first thing the vet did to my sick dog was pull clumps of hair out of his ears. That was not the problem I was bringing him in for. Then he wouldn't listen to what I said and guess"bed side manner" is horrible. He treated me as if I was and idiot.
Then when I try to get heartworm drugs from a different supplier then from them, they drag their feet and don't want to pass the information on to the online pet pharmacy.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We went in for a emergency room visit with our cat in cardiac arrest and a blood clot which was paralyzing his back end. When we got there it took 20 minutes of us sitting in the waiting room with my cat struggling to breathe only to have the receptionist named Aspen act incredibly rude and unprofessional, when he stopped breathing and my mom yelled out for help she snapped back at her immediately. After our cat had to be put down and we were leaving I told her I didn't think it was very professional of her to act that way. To which she responded "you need to act with kindness too". She was very combative until I asked to speak room her boss in which she finally gave a half assed apology. We have been going to this vet for over 6 years and she single handely ruined this vet for us. With the way she responded, I was stunned. You work after hours during EMERGENCY VISITS, to have her respond that way speaks very poorly on payson family pet hospital. Not the position that she belongs in if she responds to crisis like that. Probably shouldn't work as the first person who greets you during emergency hour vet appointments.

By far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. If I could give a 0 star I would. First strike, I waited in my truck in the parking lot for 2 hours for a TECHNICIAN visit. Strike two, I again waited for an hour and a half for my visit. I had my 5 year old daughter with me who had come with me the week before and came into the building with me but today they told me she, again 5 years old, had to wait in the truck by herself. I understand the virus and respect policies but let's be consistent, I would've gotten a babysitter. I am a breeder and have 18 dogs so we were doing a lot of business there and spending a lot of money. Strike three, we took my mom dog in for an X-ray, waited for 2 hours again. I asked them to email me a copy and they said yes. After a couple hours I called because I hadn't received it and they were so rude about me asking again but agreed to send it. I waited again, now nearing the end of the day, called and again they were so rude and told me if I wanted them I would have to bring a flash drive in. So I did, another hour and 15 minutes later they brought me out my flash drive and said "we were able to email them to you". Last and final strike I had a test done on one of my dogs there that needed to be repeated. I had a letter from the establishment saying the repeat test would be free. I called to make the appointment and they said they didn't even have record of me getting the test. They searched for most of the day and finally found it, they had put my dog under a different owner. Now, they're saying I have to pay again. After a week and a half of calling I finally was able to get a hold of the manager. I sent her the form and she said yes that will be free. Long story short, I ended up paying for the test again just to be done with them. These are the main issues but there have been several through the years. I now drive 45 minutes to a vet, traverse pet care, who is amazing. They are never too busy to explain things, never a long wait, and their vets are really good, they've saved my dogs life twice with emergency surgeries from swallowing a toy. I will never go back to Payson Family Pet

A community cat had kittens on our front porch. We already have cats, and dogs. We took her in to get fixed before she had babies again. They were very helpful, answered all our questions. We came after 6 and several employees were disinfecting everything, very clean. the cat was treated with respect, even though she was a bit wild. I have used them in the past with feral cats and have been happy with the friendly staff.

We had to bring our cat in who had really labored breathing, I called to make an appointment- they were booked until Monday (today being Saturday) After they heard about his condition they made an appointment for him despite being booked. The Vet, Dr. Conrad, was so very patient and kind to Dexter, Patient with our questions, and conscious of our relationship with our cat. She suggested x-rays and possibilities of what could be causing his issues, to help us decide if we wanted to take X-rays and if it was worth it. We decided to get them, after she explained what was seen in detail, and what it meant, with potential options. She gave her recommendation only after we asked- and we agreed, It was clear he was in pain, with no solution. (Enlarged heart 5 times the size of a normal cat's and fluid around all his organs) We ended up needing to help our family cat along and out of pain with euthanasia. She offered us time, didn't force paperwork, didn't force payment, anything at all and gave us time to say our goodbyes. She was so clear about letting us be with him if we wanted, and staying with him throughout the process. She was conscious about telling us about prices once she knew that was a concern of ours. The biggest thing she did for us in all of this was handling Dexter, communicating, and expressing empathy with the utmost tact. We could not have asked for better handling, or love toward Dexter, and ourselves in this situation while coming to terms with the outcome. It has helped the grieving process when losing our only family pet. I highly recommend this place, it is clean, the staff is so willing to listen, and happy to help. You can tell they have passion for your pets, and really do want what is best for them and for you. Thank you everyone there who helped us today, it has made the pain a little easier to handle.

SO HAPPY WITH OUR EXPERIENCE! We had a very sick cat who was admitted to their hospital shortly after arriving. We were updated twice daily with a detailed report directly from the doctor. They explained to us cost before anything was done so we knew exactly what would be due at the end of services. Finally after discharge we took home a much happier and much more healthy cat. This is a great vet. They genuinely care about animals and try to make caring for your pet easy but affordable. Unfortunately our 14 year old baby girl had a tumor and we had to put her down. It was the hardest decision but they were very supportive and had a comforable lounge room to say our goodbyes. They also sent a sweet card with their condolences. We highly recommend this vet to everyone!

We have been with this clinic since we moved here in 2004 and wouldn't go anywhere else. We have had to have pets put down due to age and illness and it was very comfortable, we and the pet were treated with privacy and respect. All of the vets have been very knowledgeable and completely capable with any situation. We've had surgery done and they are very, very good. We take in rescue animals and the first thing we do is have a wellness check at the hospital. To them I say, keep up the good work.

I rescued a little Yorkie from an X family member who only used her to get puppies to sell. She had not been taken care of, Most of her teeth fell out when the Vet touched them. I had her spade and updated her shots.She was wonderful loving dog. When I moved to Utah County, I took her to Payson Family Pet. She was having trouble breathing, and on occasion she had trouble with her back leg. They treated her and me with such kindness and always told me the options, and let me decide what to do. Their advise was always good and right. We treated her for a collapsed esophagus, and some arthritis. I had her for almost 2 years, until she couldn't breath and couldn't get comfortable. Then they helped me re leave her of her pain. They were so kind and loving, the entire staff treated both of us like family.. maybe that's why they're called Payson Family Pet Hospital. I have much confidence in recommending them to anyone. They sure helped us physically and emotionally.

I love Payson Family Pet Hospital!!! I have ALWAYS got in with an appointment on short notice. I have one dog that is animal aggressive, and they always make us feel safe by getting us right back to a room. The one dog that I have that is animal aggressive... She is very old and had to have a surgery done by them to help stop mastitis infections. They were very good to keep me informed at all times, knowing that I was a wreck leaving her there. This dog is always a little uncomfortable in new places. I had to drag her in last year. Well happy to report when she went in for her yearly check up she walked in tail a wagging and happy to be back. I love their staff. Always smiling and laughing. And SUPER kind to the animals. I live in Provo and will never pick a closer place. I would rather have to drive 30 min to see them!! We are lifers!

We have had our dog for about two years. When we got her, several people recommended Payson Family Pet Hospital. We took their advice, and do not regret it. Our dog has had surgery, general checkups, and ill dog visits. She has received unfailing great care. The surgery on her nose had to have some stitches, and even in that very sensitive area we could barely see where she had been stitched, and now, no sign of it at all. The doctors are thorough and kind, as are the tech/assistant staff. Thank you all so much! I have referred people to this facility because it is outstanding.

They very easily just could have done the procedure and collected my money, but they didn't! They did what was ethical and in the best interest of my furry friend. Definitely would recommend!

I have taken my pets here for years. Recently I had to have my 15 year old dog put down due to age. The vet, I think his first name was Sean, was very compassionate and kind towards me, my niece and our little dog. They examined my dog and told me the prognosis was grim after she apparently had a stroke of some kind. Poor old pup! Sean was very kind and spoke so gently to not only me but my dog too. After I decided the most responsible thing to do was to release my pup from her mortal body, they let us go in a room where there was a blanket on the couch. The gave us a little pager thing that we could push when we were done saying our good byes. One person wrote that after their dog was put down, "no one showed us out" Well there is a side door you can leave through, I was grateful for it because I was a wreck and nobody needed to see me bawling like that. The whole process was very peaceful for my pet and I wholeheartedly recommend Payson Family Pet hospital.

I have interacted with three of the veterinarians and some of the staff. Each one of them have been kind and caring. The doctors are very knowledgeable and professional and took the time to explain everything that I had questions about. Sadly, two of our visits involved saying goodbye to two much loved members of our family. We had to have our older dog and then an older cat put to sleep. The staff and doctors were so kind. They let us take our time in saying goodbye and were very comforting in the things that they said and did. They were loving towards our animals, even though they had never treated them before. I have recommended Payson Family Pet Hospital to all my co-workers and family and friends.

Great veterinarian's office in south Utah County. Took my dogs there for the year we lived in Utah. Dr. Ipsen is our favorite. He performed a complicated spay on our older female and pulled teeth on our puppy. I was confident in him and happy with the outcomes. They were always kind and quick to call me with updates for both surgeries. Dr. Ipsen even called me personally which I greatly appreciated. Booking appointments was easy and filling prescriptions was too. Dr. Caron is also great and saw us for wellness exams. The only complaint I have is that Dr. Fillerup is often not personable and slow. The technicians are great and know their stuff! The office is always clean and smells nice. The clinic is AAHA accredited and very professional. They are even open for emergencies which was very comforting. Overall would absolutely recommend this vet to those in Utah County!

I took both of my dogs to the Payson Family Pet Hospital for several years, when one dog started to lose weight unexpectedly I took him right in. I paid hundreds of dollars for blood, urine, fecal exams. Ultrasounds and everything in between. They continued to tell me my dog had a urine infection. After several rounds of medication with no improvements I took my dog to another vet where he was diagnosed with a very severe cancer with a grim prognosis. I scheduled to have him euthanized with Payson Family Pet Hospital, and I will say that this was the worst experience of my life. After coming to terms with the fact that I had to lose my best friend the hospital did not in any way make this easy, or comfortable for our family. They had our entire sobbing family sitting in their waiting room for nearly half an hour doing paper work (which I had come in a week prior to handle). We asked if they would arrange for us to have a clipping of our dog's fur and they said they could get that taken care of for us. They took us to a room with a blanket on the floor and said they'd be back shortly. When they came in, they looked no one in the eye, they said nothing about our dog, they just said "you guys ready?" and injected him. They left the clippers in the room so that we could get a clipping of our dead dog's fur ourselves, never bothered to show us out, or anything at all. Just left us in a room. Not even a 'sorry for your loss' was uttered from their lips. I will never, ever bring another animal back there. They're cold and callous and clearly incompetent. My dog was in their office a minimum of 5 times in such a short span and they never could figure out his problem, while the other doctor felt him...during the initial physical, and located a mass in his bladder that was 3inches by 4inches. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone who actually cares about their pet.

I don't think we could be happier with the service we get at Payson Family Pet Hospital. Dr. Elizabeth Frampton is thorough, compassionate and always has our best interests in mind. We consider her a very valuable asset to our whole family. We really appreciate the service we always get at PFPH.
