I believe Timpanogos Animal Hospital has the best veterinarians and staff around! I have been to countless clinics and nothing beats their service and care. My first dog past away 4 years ago and I had only taken her to this clinic once before she past. I recently adopted an older dog and took her in for her first appointment last year. Dr Anderson immediately recognized me, even after all these years! He asked how my first dog was by NAME and I had to break the sad news to him. Timp Animal Hospital has been a good experience. We boarded our dogs and had some procedures done here. The staff is friendly and know what they are talking about. Our dogs loved getting boarded and were actually excited to come back (weird I know). Their procedures prices were quite expensive, but there was anesthetic involved, so to be expected. We had this procedure done while they were boarded and the dogs got all the or medicine and everything so it was very nice. The follow up appointment was a week later and went smoothly. The only reason I gave this place a 4-Star rating is because of the wait times. When we show up for a 4 o clock appointment but don’t see anyone until 4:30 is a bit frustrating. If this process could be fixed and see people closer to their appointment times would be great. Read Less

My 10 year old dog had been up all night in distress. My regular vet was booked. I called all the vets in Utah county and everyone was full including Timpanogos but they said they would fit me in. After examining her the Dr gave me all the options and I decided she was ready for peace and chose to have her put down. This was one of the hardest decisions in my life. Through the whole process the whole staff treated myself and my sweet dog with the utmost compassion and understanding. I never felt rushed to make a decision or to clear the room for the next patient even though they had fit me in. They let me occupy a treatment room while crying, calling my husband and spending time with my dog for 2 hours. I am a director of a 4 star spa and understand high level customer service. We've taken the worlds' greatest dog and our two cats here for quite some time now. We've seen different vets, all of which have been great. Dr. Anderson is the most recent vet we've seen here, and he's fantastic. He even called multiple times over a weekend to check on my dog's recovery. We use Timp Animal for all 3 of our dogs. We board them there as well when we travel and can't take them with us. Recently our elderly dog had a stroke. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down. Timp employees were so compassionate and helpfully kind. Even the Boarding Manager Brita came in to say goodbye to our sweet girl. I can't say enough our they made a difficult situation somewhat bearable. We felt they genuinely cared and sad along with us. They were all so sweet and compassionate.  Say what you will sometimes about the expense. But it's expensive to have a pet, just like children. Seriously though, you know the old saying. A little more pricey than average vets would be, but you really do pay for what you get! They have been amazing with all of our pets! We tried another place once and immediately decided to go back to Timpanogos. The doctors and staff (especially Dr. Haslam) just show so much love and affection for our pets. The only reason I am giving this one star is because of how clean it is. Both times I took my kitten to get vaccinated I ended up waiting an hour and a half the first time, and 40 minutes the second time (not to mention that I was the only one in the waiting room) I had told them I needed to go to work, but they begged me to stay because it would only take "5 minutes" for the vet to administer the boosters. NOPE it took 20 minutes. Both vet trips they have quoted me a price, and the price had ended up being more than double what they quoted me. I'm not an angry person, I was very nice and didn't get irritated or chew out the staff, but they didn't even apologize and they didn't even offer me a small discount. Very impressed with the Timpanogos Animal Hospital! My dog has been seen by the staff here since he was a puppy and they have always treated us like family. Recently my dog was ill and we have regularly been in contact with the staff, more specifically Dr. Anderson. He and his staff have gone above and beyond making sure that my dog is happy and healthy and you can tell they genuinely care about his well being. They have gone out of their way time and time again and would suggest anyone who wants top-notch care for their pets to consider using them as their primary care. Dr Barry is by far the best vet I have ever been to! Our 7 month old kitten was not eating and having bathroom problems so we looked up this place online. First off let me say the amazing reviews don't even do this place justice! Dr Barry AND the nurse (Emily) treated Ella (my cat) with such respect and like a human. They did NOT treat her like a checklist or a lump of meat like nearly ever other vet I've been to! Dr Barry tried a bacterial colon swab first to see if that would show anything but since she didn't have much up there it was inconclusive - SO HE DIDN'T CHARGE US FOR IT € He didn't immediately recommend blood work which is around $200 here. (Most places charge 250) He instead recommended trying a antibiotic and a Probiotic first and if that didn't work to come back in a few days to do the blood work. He even told us he wouldn't charge a return exam fee if we have to come back in the next few days! Most Vets are like lawyers, nobody likes them even when they are needed but this place is the exception! Seriously the most pleasant vet experience! Everyone was so nice and caring. Dr. Berry is so kind, smart and explains things in a way I understood. I know he has my dog's best interest in mind. I did not feel like I was getting any sales pitch type of treatment, like other vets in the valley. The staff was so kind, attentive and the overall feeling in the office was great. The office is clean and they offered me a water bottle and gave my son fruit snacks. They took such good care of my dog who was there for an emergency visit. They treated him as if he were their own. Great Vet and Boarding service. They give you a tour of the boarding facilities the first time. Nice place. New client to this vet, and I was very impressed. The doctor was gentle with my cat, and my cat responded well to him even when he was prodding in her mouth checking out her two missing teeth. Katrina was very helpful and fun to talk with, and I could tell she really knows her stuff. All of my questions were answered professionally and confidently, and they were able to help me establish a health plan of sorts as far as up coming vaccines my cat will need. Another thing that I was impressed by is them not being pushy when the vaccine was a little out of my budget this visit. Dr. Berry saved my pup. She had been sick for weeks. I took her to an emergency vet and they said she had pneumonia. When the meds were not working and she couldn't eat or drink, her breathing was labored and she slept most of the time, the staff at Timpanogos helped hydrate her and force fed her. Then they did a tracheal wash and found out she had a lung disease. They knew how to treat it and the meds got her well. Two years later she's one happy puppy. Read Less

I love this place. We called around asking vets what they thought and they all started freaking out saying it could be this horrible thing and had me freaked out. But when I called this place, they were calm, and just told me to bring her in. We brought her in, they were super friendly, told me what was wrong, and it wasn't what any of the other vets were saying. The Vet and the nurse were so gentle, calm, and everything you'd want in a vet. We are tight on money so they went the cheapest route possible. They let us know if that didn't work, what they would need to do. They were calm and very wonderful to work with. This is where I will be bringing my pets from now on. Read Less

I *LOVE* our vet! They genuinely care about my 2 dogs so much, are very smart, friendly, and clean. They are especially the #1 option for our bulldog, who is prone to medical problems. All the doctors take the time to explain things to us and the staff always call to follow up to make sure our boys are okay and answer any left over questions. We later moved away toward Salt Lake so we tried a few other vets in our new area, and none of them were as caring, smart and trustworthy as Timpanogos. Not only is Timpanogos Animal Hospital way overpriced, the staff has no idea what they are doing. I'm willing to pay for good vet care, but every staff member insists on different policies. The first girl I talked to even said to me "well I can't promise the morning receptionist will say the same thing." I call ahead every time I take my dog in for daycare or boarding which is at least twice a week to make sure he is up to date and ok to come in. He has been there many times and the boarding staff know and love him. Several times we have arrived after calling ahead and double checking he would be ok to stay only to have them refuse to take him unless they update something. Like a monthly deworming. In October. In Utah. When they've never insisted on doing it before now. I've frequently had things added to my bill without telling me. Like $30+ medication for loose stools that were already resolving or a $5 medication administration fee when they decided to start him on that medication while he was at day care without asking me. They total bill his first day of day care was around $200 for the medication and because they insisted the vet see him since he had never been in before. Never mind that he's a puppy and had seen 2 other vets in the last two months and I had those clean bills of health with me. I had them clip his nails once. It took less than 2 minutes and they charged me $21 for it. We had his vaccines done there which are also very over priced. We gave in because they wouldn't accept his vaccine record because it was "hand written" and they wanted a "print out" proof of vaccination. Funny, because a written vaccination record is good enough for humans. When I question anything, it's answered with a condescending and unhelpful something like "we just have to." It's too bad because Timanogos animal hospital is a nice facility and very close to my house. But I can't deal with ambiguous "policies" that seem to emerge out of nowhere and cost me money and may or may not be enforced depending on what receptionist is working that day. Better communication and staff training would go a long way.Read Less

Our dog has been treated by Dr. Barry for 9 years. He's had surgeries, and multiple visits over the years. The staff is wonderful and I feel like the treatment given is the best around. We have boarded Jack there and after trying a few other places when the list was full, we learned quickly that other places pale in comparison. Jack loves it. I really do think that you get what you pay for and I don't feel like this place is overpriced for the treatment and service provided. Took wonderful care of my little dog after he had been attacked by another dog. It was real bad and he needed surgery and ended up with 28 staples. I was historical when I brought him in (my little guy was shaking and in shock). They calmed and reassured me they would do everything they could to make him well again. It has been 6 weeks now and except for a scar, my little dog is fully healed and we are back to our morning walks. Thank you Timp Animal Hospital!! Read Less
