This place is my favorite! The staff is kind, fast, and truly cares about my pet. Each time I've gone, I've showed up early and been done just minutes after my scheduled time. I started using Park Animal Hosp. when I became very unhappy with the treatment of my dog in Springville (that was 15 years ago). I have never been unhappy at Parks. I have always been given all options for my dogs care. When it became necessary to euthanize my dogs, even though it was after hours and once on a Sunday I couldn't have been treated better, as the doctors were willing to meet me at these odd times. I had two sisters and they died years apart. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they love my dogs. The facility is always clean. A good place to take your pets. Read Less

Scheduling an appointment here was quick and easy. The staff were incredible and handled my pup very well. He was terrified to get his shot but they handled it like pros! My dog is my heart, and I went to take her potty after work a few weeks ago and she was peeing blood on a Thursday. I called my regular vet and let them know it was an emergency and they said they couldn’t get me in until TUESDAY. My 3 dogs were patients of record and that’s still what I got. I called around, and Park was the only place to get me in same day. I wasn’t just impressed by that but Dr. Reed is so thorough, and sweet with my girl. My dog is very nervous at the vet and reactive towards other dogs. Dr. Reed took her time to accumulate herself with Sadie and they even help me make sure to not run Into other dogs there. Today we had another emergency and they again got me in within an hour when I called yet again. I love Dr. Reed and our vet tech! They are both amazing. Dr. Park and his staff were amazing! We had to make the difficult choice to put our dog to sleep and every single person we encountered from this office that day was so compassionate, patient, and kind toward us. We later received a note in the mail from Dr. Park expressing his condolences for our loss. Even though it was a difficult visit, the staff made us feel comfortable. We called trying to see if they could fit us in today because our cats paw was in a lot of pain. They fit us in between patients and were so good with him. I understand that there are emergencies and that sometimes you are just desperate and need to find somewhere close by. I have to be honest though, this is just not the best place. We were quoted upwards of $2000 for a surgery to save our pet. We were told, by park animal, surgery or put him down. We took him to healing hearts animal hospital in Murray and only paid $380 for the same surgery and much better care. If you have to means, go elsewhere. SLC has much, much more affordable options. I went in to park animal hospital explaining and issue that my dog had been having for about a month at the time. We had tried various treatments from other vets but the problem wouldn't go away. I took my pup to park animal hospital hoping that the doctor would consider other routes and test. To my dismay, he simply told me that it was the same issue that previous doctors had told me about and treated it the same exact way as they had. The problem still hadn't clear up. I finally took him to another Doctor in Lehi who was willing to consider other problems and actually look for them. Turns out my dog got into some bad water and contracted a parasite. We simply killed the parasite and now my dog is fine. I am not impressed with Park Animal Hostipal's lack of motivation when it came to actually discovering my dogs needs. Read Less

The staff was friendly, but this place is outrageously expensive. First we were charged $50 for an exam in which they took our dog's weight, temperature, and heart rate (this took all of 4 minutes). Then they convinced us to do unnecessary x-rays that didn't tell us anything new but did cost us $160. Then finally they decided to give our dog a couple of shots and an antibiotic that luckily DID help out, for an additional $100 or so. We ended up paying over $320 for a couple of shots and an antibiotic. Definitely won't be back. Read Less

My dog was having some very serious health problems. Dr. Reed worked with us on figuring out the best thing for him. She did not push us to make a decision, but rather, she patiently helped us to reach a decision. We talked with her in person once and on the phone two times, then met me at 11pm when we decided he needed to be put down. She was very thoughtful, sweet, and caring during the procedure. There is a very good reason that this place has a 4.8 rating after more than 150 reviews. I needed a new vet and a friend recommended Park Animal Hospital. I called them Saturday morning and they were able to schedule an appointment right away for my 2 cats to get their vaccinations. I was amazed at how clean the facility was. We were seen promptly at our scheduled time and they were amazing. They talked with us about what exactly the cats were getting, answered all of our questions and treated my pets with sincere love and respect. I've been to 2 other vets before Park, one was just fine but pricey and the other treated me and my pets so bad I will never go back. What they charged for the exam and vaccinations was very reasonable, and I was not charged some "new client" fee that pretty much every other vet does. Park Animal Hospital will forever be my veterinary service provider. As I said in the beginning of my long story here, they earned every bit of that 4.8 rating they have on Google. Read Less

Dr. Park is extremely knowledgeable and always takes the time to answer any questions you have. You never feel that he is rushing to the next patient. He always lays out the options, tells you the pros and cons of each and then helps you make the best decision for your situation. His 30+ years of experience are invaluable, But unlike many veteran veterinarians he is excellent at staying up to date on the latest studies and practices. We are so grateful for Park Animal Hospital. When our tiny chihuahua broke her leg and our normal vet didn't have time for her, they got us in same day--with options for time. They have great hours for those of us that work and are always willing to work with schedules. Also, their prices are very low compared to the service they provide. I had to put my best friend out of her misery yesterday. I just couldn't watch her suffer anymore. These people were so sweet and understanding. They stayed open until I could get there and they still gave me time to say goodbye to Kiss Kiss. They explained everything to me before during and after. I love vaughn, and the staff, Asher has been a patient and resident here for 6 almost 7 years now, they know him by name even when I call on the phone and treat him like family. He gets so excited to go to the vet! How many pets do you know that get excited to go to the vet... the female vet I can't remember her name sadly is the sweetest woman and is understanding and personable. Asher has weight issues and they always do their best to help figure out why he is such and big guy! I will never go to another vet. Such wonderful people. We have left asher at the resort for a week 3 times now and they always wash him and give him a trim before pick up (it can cost you but it's worth it to not have that kennel smell most dog kennels have, about 40$) thank you for all your service love and understanding! Asher loves you! He also removed 3 tumors from my pet rat when I was 8 years old, he didn't treat her like a rodent she was another life to save for him, this vet has been a part of my pet family for years, four cats two rats and a dog all received his care and our 18 year old cat has his final resting place in their pet cemetery. We've gone to Park Animal Hospital for routine checkups and vaccines for a while now and have always been very impressed with the quality of service and care provided for our pets. Most recently our dog was hit by a truck and we rushed her over. They got us into an exam room immediately where she was seen by a tech who made sure she was stable before going to get the vet. They explained everything to us very clearly, gave us several options, and were up front with costs for the different procedures available. They even called the next day to see how she was doing! I am beyond angry right now. My vet was out of town earlier in the week and my dog was too sick to wait, so I took him to Park Animal hospital. We spent three days, and my dog was sicker when I picked him up than he was when I brought him in. I loved my experience here. I feltblike they really cared about me and made me feel like a person and my cat like a cat instead of a number or an atm. They gave me time to grieve and say goodbye when he could not be saved. My only complaint was when i was told to come visit him i was told he was going to be cleaned up but he was still covered in food or whatever was all over his fur. Other than that i an very thankful to Drs Park and Goddrich for excellent care of my Tator Tot in his final days and allowing me one more night with him before his final rest. Read Less

I have been going to Park Animal Hospital since 1996 when it was called Alpine Animal Hospital. I have raised 2 boxers and am starting a 3rd with the fantastic help of Dr. Park and his incredible staff. Dr. Park and staff have helped me keep my dogs healthy and happy even when they were reluctant to go thru the front doors. I watched him take his practice from a small vet office to the beautiful facility he has today. I know when my current dog "Milly" needs help, she will get the best care in the hands of Dr. Park and his staff. Last weekend we boarded our dog Titan at Wasatch Canine Camp off of Center street in Orem. Titan wasn't vaccinated for kennel cough and showed symptoms a few days after we picked him up. He was miserable. I called all around Orem and Provo and couldn't find someone to look at him for at least a week. I called Park Animal Hospital and they got me in the same day. Wow!!! Shortly after arriving Titan threw up on their floor, so I went to reception desk and told the receptionist that I would like to borrow something to clean up throw up. She told me that she would take care of it and I could tell that it didn't even bug her. Although it might seem like something so minor and minuscule, that's the type of receptionist that I'd want working at a Animal Hosptial!!! Dr. Godderidge listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. She quickly diagnosed that Titan had kennel cough and we got our dog the medication that he needed. I felt like she wasn't rushed and that she wasn't trying to just "get us out of there". I felt like she understood the importance of dedicating time to each patient and their owners. Although I had to drive 20 minutes to their facility, risking my dog throwing up all over our new car.. I would argue that it's the best Animal Hospital/Vet that I've ever taken a dog to. I had the worst experience at riverwoods pet hospital in provo, so I came here to see if it would be a good fit and it is! Dr. Park is AMAZING. He talks to you in depth about things addresses every concern you could possibly have, he knows that people aren't made of money and he truly just cares about the animal. He is very very very knowledgeable about all the medications he uses and explains them in depth to you. Side affects, benefits, cost. He knows it all. This guy is the real deal. Park Animal Hospital is the BEST! I've been going to Dr. Park 17 years and he has been fabulous with all 4 of my dogs who have been under his care. When the time came that I had to put down my first 2 dogs I don't think I could have had more compassion shown to them and for me. They were the hardest 2 times of my life and Dr. Park and his staff were wonderful, even sent me handwritten cards of sympathy for each one. We have tried since 2012, when we moved to Utah, to find a good groomer for our teacup poodle. He is difficult to groom, and very anxious. We finally found the right place after trying many different places. This is where we will take our poodle from now on. He looks good, and the staff were wonderful!
