I called and asked how much an exam was. 49.75 They took forever to get a vet in. He tells me "I'm going to take her back for some bloodwork". He takes forever to come back again and says "we're gonna put her on some antibiotics for gastroenteritis" ok... I wait forever again for some lady to show up, calling my dog a he, 12 cans of bland dog food, amoxicillin (antibiotic) some other antibiotic, some "extra strength peptobismol" and something else. We take it up to the counter and unbeknownst to me, that costs $316 for some crazy reason. 25 for each bottle, 30 for the dog food, 120! for the bloodwork plus 49.75 for the exam and 5 for the hazardous material disposal. This visit should have been $75. 49.75 exam 25 amoxicillin 5 hazardous waste. Why don't you bother telling me that you're going to charge for bloodwork? I'm a lamen, I don't speak medical bills. Exam to me means you're examining my dog, I assumed her blood since he said "I'm going to go do this" not "can I go do this?" or "it costs this much". Absolutely horrendous, and when I ask to talk to the boss lady ahe belittled me telling me that it's "obvious" and "do I need to call your parents?" threatened to call the cops on me for "theft of service" because I'm refusing to pay because I can't. My family has been coming to Stone Ridge for over 20 years for treatment for horses, cats, and dogs. The most recent experience will be the last. We were quoted ~$300 to remove 3 teeth on a small dog and upon picking him up following the procedure the price jumped to over $700. This is an unacceptable practice for any industry, but to hold your pet hostage and more than double the bill is dumbfounding. Read Less

Took care of my pet, but with another pet we tried an alternative caregiver and they were less than half the cost and provided a better solution. I absolutely love this place! I use them as my vet and as my groomer. My dogs always look so adorable after getting groomed and never once have I felt like they were ripping me off money wise. In the past ive gone place to place cuz I've never really liked how well they took care of my dogs and I've been with this comlany for about 5 years now! I am very dissatisfied with the service at this vet. This was not the first time we brought our dog here before. The previous time he had 2 shots and a grooming appointment. Cost was about $60. This time for some odd reason they are requiring more shots which I felt was incorrect but I am not a Vet technician to know and another grooming. They called me a few hours after I dropped him off and asked for permission to sedate him because he was fighting the groomer. I know my dog does not like groomers but the previous time the groomer said he was perfect. Seems odd to me. Because they said his haircut was not complete, I agreed to the sedation fee of $40. Over an hour passes and I decided to go because surely he should be ready. It took about 5 minutes before someone came to the front desk and I am charged $165 for his visit. They failed to tell me that a visit fee would be included with his shots. The girl hardly felt like explaining the breakdown in costs. I unhappily pay and she goes to get my dog and then realized he was not even ready. Not even sedated yet but when I spoke to someone on the phone they said he would be ready shortly. So I felt waiting over an hour would be fine and maybe they were busy and forgot to call. The lady at the front desk could not even offer me a time frame of when to expect that he would be done. Nothing at all. That when she calls then that means he is done. We will never bring our dog back here and will be sure to tell other friends and family. The groomer completely shaved my shihtzu. She also gave him a Scotty terrier face, and it was completely lopsided. I asked her to fix it and she did, but how could you not notice something like that? And the fact that he was sedated. How do you mess up a hair cut when the dog is out? I have found 3 spots on his body and tail that she nicked him with the clippers and I can see the blood. Oreo loves to chew on pinecones and sticks and on May 16, one day before we were leaving for a week in AZ for a surprise birthday celebration for our daughter Leslie I noticed she hadn't eaten all day. I figured she had a blockage. I called Stone Ridge and although it was closing time they said to come right over. After doing X-rays it was evident she had a lot of stuff in her tummy and possible blockages in her intestinal tract. Dr Haleigh Lundgreen suggested I leave her overnight so they would already have her prepped for surgery in the morning. Around 8:00 Dr. Lundgreen called and said they were going to operate then. I asked if she would call when they were finished and of course she said yes even though she said it could be 1 a.m.. Dr. Lundgreen called at 11:30 to say she was able to work the obstructions through her intestines so no need to cut into them, but obviously not the case with her tummy. I decided to board her with them after her recovery from surgery and asked that they would "love" on her a lot and they did. I got daily phone calls for the first three days sharing how Oreo was progressing, and a short video of her celebration dance after getting stitches out. I couldn't have been more pleased with the expert care and loving people who cared for our precious Oreo!Read Less

DON'T BOARD YOUR PETS HERE! They were closed during business hours, doors locks. "Having a meeting". Unable to pick up my dog on time before they charge for another day. They charged us anyways and we tried to have them take the extra charges off because they were closed during business hours. THEY REFUSED!!! Not our fault but still have to pay. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the boarding services today. I have been taking my dog here for boarding for the last four years. It will take a lot for me to now return. They no longer offer Sunday night pickups, so my overnight trip (we were home Sunday morning) I was charged for two nights because they don't keep office staff to check out. I board my dog so he gets worn out before we return from our trip. He spent the whole weekend in the kennel and has no voice left from all of the barking he did...plus he is a wound up mess rather than the dog who used to be relaxed. I had to work today (Monday) so I called this morning to ask if they would wave the fee for today because I couldn't come. They said they would get back to me, but if I came around noon that they wouldn't charge me for the day. I spent my lunch break driving from West Jordan to Riverton and arrived promptly at 12:30 to a sign on the door saying they were closed for a few minutes for a staff meeting (despite the office hours being 8-5...and no "lunch closing" time). I waited and had to drive back to work. Arrived later after work to pick up my dog and had to pay for the whole day because it is "policy". I have loved coming here for years because they have always put the costumer first. Now that you want to put the " policies" first (which I get..but not when it isn't my fault), my business has been lost. It is a shame. I am very dissatisfied and would not recommend taking your animals here for boarding. The vet office is wonderful, but I will not be back for boarding. :( Read Less

The vets themselves are very nice, however the clinic in a whole is extremely costly, and they don't explain the cost upfront. I took my dog in and paid over $1,700 for 3 days. My follow up visit was an additional $190. They never explained there would be an additional cost for the follow up and gave her a shot, that I did not agree to, which costed $51. I have visited several veterinary clinics in the past as I have owned animals all my life. This is definitely one of the most expensive ones and I will be taking my business elsewhere. Read Less

My husband and I own 3 pugs. We just moved down the street from the clinic last year and we absolutely love the doctors and staff. They have been so gracious to work with my and my husbands work schedules to do glucose checks on one of our dogs who was recently diagnosed with Diabetes. The Cannon family are wonderful people! At a time when we lost our two senior fur babies, they had an adult Aussie that was ready to retire and she was offered to us. She's amazing and she stole our hearts immediately. One year later and Arei has a play buddy from Stone Ridge. I am very disappointed with the quality of service I received at this clinic! I was quoted a visit fee and told that they didn't have any available that day but if I couldn't find anyone else to call back and they would fit my goat in to see the doctor. My goat was near death and I didn't find anyone so I called them back and scheduled an appointment. I asked multiple times about cost and was never informed that there would be an emergency fee tacked on for fitting her in. The bill went from 80.00 to 160.00. When I told them I was not aware of the extra fee they simply said sorry we didn't tell you. The next day I called and talked to the owner and she was rude and would not let me speak on the phone. When I finally explained the situation she said all the techs said that I was told about the fees so I had to have known. No customer service skills on her part at all! They are accommodating , professional and inexpensive.It's nice to work with a vet staff that doesn't churn clients in and out. I've been coming here did almost 5 years, 3 dogs later and recommend all my friends. I also use their grooming services and it's always convenient. I'm shocked with how unprofessional this business is run. While the vet was talking to us, a very young child (maybe two or three years old) came into the room and was chasing my cats around and pulling on their tails. The vet allowed the child to be in the room and did nothing to stop her. When she wasn't harrassing the cats she was banging on things and making loud noises. I was, and still am in awe that this was allowed to continue. When I finally interrupted him and pointed out that the little girl was pulling their tails, he looked at the little girl and said in baby talk "Oh are you trying to get the kitties?" and then did nothing about it. I will absolutely not be returning and I recommend you find a more professional vet's office who takes your animal's visit seriously. Read Less
