the doctors are super helpful and really care about your dog. They have helped me with costs and stuff in the past too, and they are honest about whether or not its necessary to bring them in- if it doesn't seem urgent they will give you solid advice over the phone and things to look out for. We just happened to go to this clinic by chance because our dog Maple got hurt and most vet clinics were closed and we have heard of this clinic from our friends and they were still open, so we took our dog there. Our dog is a pretty anxious dog and they were so sweet to her, I also felt like they genuinely cared about her and us. Their prices were fair and when I called with a concern they adjusted their busy schedule to take a quick look at her free of charge. They truly care about the health of their patients. Came up on a referral for Dr. Jessica love. I've been to many other bets in the sugarhouse area and have felt, four years, that they aren't bad. They just aren't great. My experiences for the last 25 years in the sugarhouse area have been very neutral. That is my review considering we've never even had an emergency.Made an appointment here and the entire crew was absolutely amazing. I found that everyone was very excited to do their job and not indifferent like the other places. Enthusiasm was very obvious and the crew was exceptional; all caring. Ratdogs got a good once over and the old girl was treated for old girl arthritic pain. This is where I found Dr. Jessica excelled. In the past, I've had other doctors just say, "Give them these pills." Jessica explained everything very thoroughly about possible side effects and long-term deterioration due to some of the medicine out there. I felt like she helped me make a very educated decision based on her knowledge that has been priceless. That visit was over three months ago and the old girl has changed completely without giving her any type of narcotic or addictive medicine.5 stars. Thank you. These dogs are my family. Read Less

We are transfering both of our dogs records to this clinic. Called at 4:00 on a Saturday after one of our dogs broke her nail on her paw. They told us to come right in. Not only did they do a great job fixing her nail they did a full exam (which was complementery for new customers). The Dr. was very thorough explaining everything as he was examining, and also letting us know what to keep an eye out for. Dr. Tarrasov and Dr. Howard have been excellent with my complicated dog! They have both gone above and beyond with communication about her health issues. I know that they will be patient with any question I have and take the time to discuss all of my concerns. We have lived in 4 cities and had multiple vets in each location and these two are by far the best as far as thoroughness and communication. I couldn't recommend this clinic more! Both the doctors and the staff, ALL OF THEM, are kind and you can tell that each of them genuinely care about the pets. All of the staff here are knowledgeable and the Doctors take the time to thoroughly and respectfully listen to all of your concerns and answer all of your questions. Dr. Tarassov gives great advice and sound diagnosis. He doesn't rush, rather, he patiently takes the time to explain to you the ins and outs of each diagnosis to help ease your mind and ensure that you gain some understanding of the biological reasons and processes behind your pet's symptoms so that you understand why he is recommending each treatment. Today we called our local vet because our little KiKi was vomiting. As has often happened when an urgent care need arises, we were told to go elsewhere. So, I called my daughter to find out what vet she had gone to after adopting her last cat. (Laura have raved about how competent, compassionate, and reasonably-priced the care was.) So, I called OCVC, was greeted by a friendly voice, and was welcomed to bring my sick kitten in asap. The extra 15 minute drive was so worth it! The staff and Dr. Tarassov were amazing!...The doctor even gave me his cell phone number in case my kitten fails to respond to her treatment or gets sick over Sunday. In my experience, very few people in any profession are willing to provide this kind of service. I am thrilled that my daughter and her husband recommended Olympus Cove Veterinary Clinic! Our pets now have a new care provider that we know will always put their needs first!!! (Also, when was the last time you saw a vet play with and cuddle your kitten after s/he had drawn blood?) Got a cat from the Humane Society and took it here because they were near us and had some good ratings on Google Maps. My wife ended up taking the cat in both times. The first time they found some bad teeth that the Humane Society missed. We went back to the Humane Society because we were told by two people there that they would take care of the cat no charge. When we took her back there, they said they could not help us. We ended up taking it back to Olympus Cove and they said they could take care of her teeth. They ended up finding that 4 teeth were bad and had to be pulled. They didn't charge us as much because they were appreciative that we did not abandon the cat at the Humane Society after finding the rotten teeth. The staff and the vet are amazing from what my wife tells me and I believe it from how they handled our cat's situation. This is a great vet. I haven't met many vets like this. They are genuinely concerned about our cat's health and they are extremely nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend them! Read Less

Having read both reviews, seeing as there are only two, I would recommend that anyone contemplating a visit to this clinic should read the one star review AND the clinic's response to that situation. In fact, having read that "negative" review and seeing what Olympus Cove offered as an explanation only reinforced my approval of this clinic even more. See for yourself. Anyways, my own personal opinion is as follows - what a great clinic! I have had a great experience every time I have taken my beloved chihuahua-pug (Betsy) for a visit. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I have worked with two different doctors there (one that is retired and one that now owns the practice) and they both exceeded my expectations. We have been in for several wellness check-ups, as well as a minor tooth procedure (with anesthesia). They have taken wonderful care of Betsy each and every time. This clinic came on good recommendation from a friend of mine, and I'm happy that my dog has been able to establish a history here as I feel comfortable with every aspect of the experience. This place was wonderful financially. I went to them because I needed to get my dog neutered and quick at a reasonable cost but nice place. Their prices for services were way better than most places. They're clinic is clean and filled with nice employees. They even gave us a great sample of pain meds. I would highly recommend this place because they not only help your animal but the owner as well. Read Less
