The staff at Countryside just don't care. They gaslight you and try to rush you through. No one smiles and all they're concerned about is collecting payment. The Vet can never be seen. The majority of the time I'm given their shots to inject into my animals myself. They are overbooked and understaffed. I've been dealing with them because there's not another Vet in this county. Today my dog was spayed. I brought her in at 8am and I never heard from them so I went over at 3. The lady said my phone didn't have voice set up. I do have it and I keep it cleaned out. I'm an Instructor in higher education so I know the importance of keeping a voice mail working properly. I've been glued to my phone all day checking it every 5 minutes for their call. She said to come back at 4. That's 8 hours. That's too long and she couldn't tell me why. They're rude, inconsistent, not kind or patient at all and absolutely no help. I would recommend that if you live in this valley to take the drive to Salt Lake City to another Vet and don't waste your time or money with Countryside in Tooele.

I've been taking my animals to Countryside Animal Clinic since 2002. Dr. Gowans and Dr. Kaitlyn Shosted are hands down the very best Veterinarians in Tooele! I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. They are so kind and they really care about your animals and their health. I am so grateful for their service to my sweet little kitten who was so sick when I adopted him. I am beyond blessed to have him happy and healthy! Thank you so much to the doctors and staff at this clinic. I am so grateful for you all!

Have had to call the emergency line on two different occasions, both times went straight to voicemail and didn't hear back from anyone. A business shouldn't offer an emergency number if they aren't going to answer, wasted time when we could have been saving our dogs leg by heading straight to salt lake. Will not be taking anymore of my pets to either of the vets here in Tooele County for this reason.

Shout out to Dr. Yardley and the staff. We had to make the heart breaking decision to put our little Pomeranian to sleep.. The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to ease our sorrow. Dr. Yardley explained what he was going to do and was so gentle with our baby girl. After she was gone he gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our girl of 15 years. He made a terrible experience much more bearable.

They were fast, reasonably priced, and professional.
I discovered an abscess on my cat this morning, and they were able to work me in in just a couple hours to drain and clean it. They also found an underlying health issue and discussed a few options for treatment with me.
The vet's bedside manner is good, though much more like a surgeon than a pediatrician. He cares deeply for the animals in his care, and it shows. We will be coming back.

I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. I've visited this vet's office on two occasions - firstly, I was told after adopting a dog from the local shelter that I could just take the do g for rabies vaccinations as a walk-in to Countryside and they would help me with no problem, so after adopting the dog, I took him straight to have him vaccinated. The staff at the front desk were not only rude, but very condescending, responding to my questions in a hateful tone like I'm some sort of ignorant waste of space. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when my small dog fell off the couch and hurt her leg. I took the dog in early soon after the accident happened. I walked in and both women at the front desk were on the phone, so I waited for my turn. One woman was speaking to a customer like they were stupid. Being blatantly rude - very unprofessional - then after she had hung up the phone, she went into another room and I could hear her talking badly about the customer on the phone to another staff member. I was appalled. I've worked in a vet's office and it was a great experience with a lively, friendly environment. This place is not happy, friendly, or professional in the least.

They do everything they can for my boys. Dr Gowans is worth my drive from Utah County to take my dogs to. I drive an hour every time my guys need a vet because I know they will be cared for and loved at Countryside.

GARY GOWANS has helped us with the passing of 3 of our beloved Chows one of which lived 16 years. They are our children and he knows that. He is HUMAN too....Saw Gary today with our last Chow who was not happy to with a bad ear infection. All of his staff go above and beyond. THANKS DR. GOWANS! ! We went on a camping trip recently and took our Beagle Lucy with us. She apparently injured herself jumping on the bed and could not walk. Panic set in as we love our Lucy and did not know what to do for her. I called and left a message for a call back and was called back promptly by Dr. Monica. She told us what to do until the next day when we could get an appt. After taking Lucy in, She confirmed the problem and gave us the necessary meds to help. Three days later, Lucy is improving drastically, not fully recovered but well on her way. THANK YOU to all involved, especially Dr. Monica for being so kind and assuring. We Love Countryside and will continue to use and refer anyone needing friendly and great care for their pets!!!

Dr Gowans is great, he's smart and caring and will even answer your calls on off hours. However, I wait at least an hour to see the vet every time I come in. I am not sure if they over schedule or what the problem is. Even though I love the vet this will be my last time coming here as I don't have time to wait an hour every time!

Have had to call the emergency line on two different occasions, both times went straight to voicemail and didn't hear back from anyone. A business shouldn't offer an emergency number if they aren't going to answer, wasted time when we could have been saving our dogs leg by heading straight to salt lake. Will not be taking anymore of my pets to either of the vets here in Tooele County for this reason.

Great with all size animals. The only bad thing is scheduling. But once you've made your appontment they stick to the times yhey tell you. Everyone i know goes here for their animals shots and checkup...

Shout out to Dr. Yardley and the staff. We had to make the heart breaking decision to put our little Pomeranian to sleep.. The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to ease our sorrow. Dr. Yardley explained what he was going to do and was so gentle with our baby girl. After she was gone he gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our girl of 15 years. He made a terrible experience much more bearable.

I discovered an abscess on my cat this morning, and they were able to work me in in just a couple hours to drain and clean it. They also found an underlying health issue and discussed a few options for treatment with me.
The vet's bedside manner is good, though much more like a surgeon than a pediatrician. He cares deeply for the animals in his care, and it shows. We will be coming back.

I've visited this vet's office on two occasions - firstly, I was told after adopting a dog from the local shelter that I could just take the do g for rabies vaccinations as a walk-in to Countryside and they would help me with no problem, so after adopting the dog, I took him straight to have him vaccinated. The staff at the front desk were not only rude, but very condescending, responding to my questions in a hateful tone like I'm some sort of ignorant waste of space. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when my small dog fell off the couch and hurt her leg. I took the dog in early soon after the accident happened. I walked in and both women at the front desk were on the phone, so I waited for my turn. One woman was speaking to a customer like they were stupid. Being blatantly rude - very unprofessional - then after she had hung up the phone, she went into another room and I could hear her talking badly about the customer on the phone to another staff member. I was appalled. I've worked in a vet's office and it was a great experience with a lively, friendly environment. This place is not happy, friendly, or professional in the least.

They do everything they can for my boys. Dr Gowans is worth my drive from Utah County to take my dogs to. I drive an hour every time my guys need a vet because I know they will be cared for and loved at Countryside.

I will express my energy and they will see the effect of poor business practices .

GARY GOWANS has helped us with the passing of 3 of our beloved Chows one of which lived 16 years. They are our children and he knows that. We went on a camping trip recently and took our Beagle Lucy with us. She apparently injured herself jumping on the bed and could not walk. Panic set in as we love our Lucy and did not know what to do for her. I called and left a message for a call back and was called back promptly by Dr. Monica. She told us what to do until the next day when we could get an appt. After taking Lucy in, She confirmed the problem and gave us the necessary meds to help. Three days later, Lucy is improving drastically, not fully recovered but well on her way. THANK YOU to all involved, especially Dr. Monica for being so kind and assuring. We Love Countryside and will continue to use and refer anyone needing friendly and great care for their pets!!!

Dr Gowans is great, he's smart and caring and will even answer your calls on off hours. However, I wait at least an hour to see the vet every time I come in. I am not sure if they over schedule or what the problem is. Even though I love the vet this will be my last time coming here as I don't have time to wait an hour every time!
