NEGLECTFUL & RUDE --- Our 11 month old kitten hasn't been able to jump and has hardly been able to walk for the past week. After calling for two days straight, I finally got someone on the phone. The gal had asked if we could come in within the next half hour which I appreciated as it felt like my girl's condition had been getting worse by the day.
When we saw Roundy he was roughly handling my girl. She was already in distress as she can no longer perform the activities that she once was able to and is likely in pain at only 11 months old. She's typically pretty shy but never aggressive towards vets. Everything I had mentioned that I thought could be wrong with her, he immediately had a condescending and snarky remark to shoot back at me.
He was being so rough with her that she bit him while getting x-rayed and he yelled at her calling her a "little bastard." He then flung her onto the table in our room, she can't use her back legs so she fell off and landed on the floor on her side. He ignored me when I asked for a wet paper towel to wipe her off so we sat there for 10 mins with HIS blood all over her. He commented to the vet assistants that normally people apologize when their animals bite him. To which I retorted that, I am not sorry.
We found that she has hip dysplasia in one hip but we do not know which one as he forgot to mark it when performing the x-ray and used the excuse that he forgot because she bit him. I'm not sure what else he would expect with the way he handles animals and his very unsympathetic attitude.
Within the first few minutes of meeting him I knew that this was not going to go well. His disposition and rude remarks were a red flag right away. Then with the mishandling of my kitten, I knew that we were never going back there.
I do not recommend folks going here with their pets. I've never seen anything like this before in my life. Truly appalling and disheartening.

Always been a reliable place to go and always in a pretty quick way as well, which is hard out here due to lots of people and not alot of vets. So thankful for Mr. Roundy and his sweet staff on taking good care of my animals. One of my cats came up with an abcess of some sort on his nose and it swelled up so we called in the later afternoon hours but Mr. Roundy was gonna be in surgery the entire next day but they sure still got my cat in early that next morning, treated him with a shot of antibiotics and some at home antibiotic cream and sent us on our way. My cats nose is already looking better and im thankful to all of them for getting us in quick and fixing my cat up as I was pretty worried about it.

They used to be a great place. Called this morning to get my dog in, who is a patient there, he's been up all night shaking his head and wanted him to be seen and they said no. No openings til Friday....
They used to be a great place. Called this morning to get my dog in, who is a patient there, he's been up all night shaking his head and wanted him to be seen and they said no. No openings til Friday. Here it is Tuesday. A dog cannot wait That long. I asked for a reccomendation for another vet and she said you'll have to look on the internet? Really? That's how you treat your loyal patients? Time to find another vet.

I want to give this amazing doctor and his team at Tooele Veterinary Clinic a shout out on saving my precious furbaby. Little Ivy had to have an emergency hysterectomy last night due to a uterine infection. Joe Roundy called us last night when he checked in on her at 9 pm just to let us know how she was doing. If it was not for their hast to get the much needed surgery done, I would have lost my little girl. They were amazing though the whole process, and it just reminded me on why I love taking all my animals to him. Thank you!

Our family decided to go out to Zions national park for the weekend and we decided to leave them at this boarding facility. They called us 2 days later telling us they LOST the dog the day before and couldn't find her. We came back looked around tooele and called the police and we eventually found her dead because a car ran her over. All we wanted was someone to take care of her. NOT KILL HER! DO NOT RECOMMEND PLEASE GO TO SOMEONE ELSE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

As a lifelong pet owner, I have been to many vets as I have moved around the country. The front staff and techs are polite and competent. While the vet does not always have the most sensitive beside manner, he truly cares about what is best for animals. He will be very honest with you about what he thinks is best for your pet. I had an emergency situation with my cat and the staff got me in quickly and was very compassionate as I made my goodbyes.

I left a small Yorkie in for boarding for five days. When me and my wife picked him up and after we paid they brought Walter and his bedding covered in his own feces he had been sleeping in they made no attempt to really take care of our dog.This saddens me that him and his staff would subject any animal to this sort of neglect. Roundy lied to my wife and argued with my wife said he had taken the dog for walks and put down fresh towels for our dog to sleep on .My question why board dogs if you cant take care of them.

Like others, I wasn't exactly impressed with the bedside manner I received. Staff up front was cordial and pleasant though. I brought my cat in because the other clinic was full and she was gagging over the past few days. I wanted to check and see if it was something caught in her throat. The vet there definitely was rougher with handling which made sense since the clinic seems to deal with horses and larger animals. A lot of other people have mentioned a very country-like approach which I definitely saw. It caught me off guard since I'm used to vets being much gentler with cats. When my cat started squirming he grabbed clippers and trimmed her claws and drew blood on at least one. I'm used to vets being much more cautious with that sort of thing. Either way he managed to diagnose her with basically a sore throat, gave her a quick injection and antibiotics and sent us on our way. Three stars because it was a quick visit, he diagnosed the problem fast and efficiently but I definitely wasn't thrilled with just how roughly my cat was handled. It may have been the fact that the clinic was in the middle of delivering a large litter of puppies but either way, I'm not sure if I'll be going back.

We have just moved to erda and wanted a place to take our dogs and farm animals. I was trying to refill a prescription for my dog. I did not know the name of the medicine because I just got out of the gym. The lady got all upset and I told her I called earlier. She said in a very rude voice I get 30 calls a day like I know. I told her I don't know how to pronounce it and she wouldn't help and I was walking out the door so pissed off because she treated me like crap. I asked her can't you look it up on the computer????????? I told her I only brought one dog in and they should be able to tell. I told them it's not the liquid drops. All I wanted to do is get some medicine refill for my dog. All I wanted her to do is look it up. Is it that hard to do? Most of customers service sucks in Tooele and I was afraid to bring my pets in here because of the bad reviews. But I gave them a chance. I will go somewhere else. Being treated like dirt when I'm paying someone to help our pets is very bad customer service. She should have when I called and asked for a refill write in down with my name and have it ready. Made the effort to go the extra mile. When you have a job you should always go above and beyond to treat the customer right. It's sad that people could care less about them. The Doctors are good but it's just getting pass the front desk.

Dr. Roundy is great but he has got to do something about the horrible lady that answers the phone. She is cold and rude and is lacking in basic customer service skills. I have always loved Roundy and he takes great care of my pets and I feel like his prices are great for vet care. But when the receptionist is rude and inconsiderate I have to consider other places because she is so unwilling to help me and answer my questions.

I will definitely be returning to this vet for wellness visits and any care my pets need!

I'm used to going into salt lake for my vet visits but decided to try something closer to home. I'm glad I did!
They got me in the same day I called! I waited no more than 10 minutes after I filled out paperwork to see the vet.
The doctor was great! Very informative. I could tell the clinic was busy but he took plenty of time to look over my dog and prescribe some medications to help his vomiting and diarrhea. He showed me how to administer the medications. He also plucked my dogs ears for me as well as shaved around his eyes and bottom where the groomer missed.
My other dog began having the same symptoms and I will be taking him in later on today. I'm sure my experience will be the same.
I wasn't pressured into procedures or tests, he mentioned a a few tests we could conduct but he advised against it saying he would rather have my money go towards something he was sure would fix the problem. The cost was probably a third of what I am used to paying at other clinics so that was a relief.
My only complaint would be whoever answers the phone. She was a little short with my questions and concerns and seemed annoyed a little. It's understandable at the end of a long day which is when I called the first time but I did call again the next day for my second dog first thing in the morning and the response was the same. Still giving 5 stars because everyone was kind once I got there.

We love Dr. Joe and Dr, Jon! My big dogs are not really comfortable with strangers and every time we go in there Joe is able to make him feel at ease. I have huge giant breed dogs and they are taken care of excellently. We have boarded them there as well and they felt comfortable and at home and were well taken care of. We definitely recommend for all animals, large and small.

Office and medication cost were quite reasonable. Front staff and doc were very nice & professional. I love country vets. That's the only way to go with pets in my opinion.

I was contacted about adopting a dog that was on death row for being unadaptable. They made us pay $200 for the dog, on top of having to pay for his shots and to be fixed. When I protested and said I wanted to take the dog to my regular vet, a staff member took the dog out of my arms and said maybe they could find him a different dog (a dog on death row!). My vet later confirmed they lied about the dogs age and breed. I was told I was getting a 3 month old red heeler, when in fact I got a 2 year old Chihuahua mutt mix with anxiety and abuse trauma.
Paid $200 for mutt on death row....

When my cat started squirming he grabbed clippers and trimmed her claws and drew blood on at least one. I'm used to vets being much more cautious with that sort of thing. Either way he managed to diagnose her with basically a sore throat, gave her a quick injection and antibiotics and sent us on our way. Three stars because it was a quick visit, he diagnosed the problem fast and efficiently but I definitely wasn't thrilled with just how roughly my cat was handled. It may have been the fact that the clinic was in the middle of delivering a large litter of puppies but either way, I'm not sure if I'll be going back.

Joe has been my vet for my dogs, cats and horses for ten years. He has been great and saved my horse from cancerous eye removal by catching it early. Very grateful for his expertise.

We have just moved to erda and wanted a place to take our dogs and farm animals. I was trying to refill a prescription for my dog. I did not know the name of the medicine because I just got out of the gym. The lady got all upset and I told her I called earlier. She said in a very rude voice I get 30 calls a day like I know. I told her I don't know how to pronounce it and she wouldn't help and I was walking out the door so pissed off because she treated me like crap. I asked her can't you look it up on the computer????????? I told her I only brought one dog in and they should be able to tell. I told them it's not the liquid drops. All I wanted to do is get some medicine refill for my dog. All I wanted her to do is look it up. Is it that hard to do? Most of customers service sucks in Tooele and I was afraid to bring my pets in here because of the bad reviews. But I gave them a chance. I will go somewhere else. Being treated like dirt when I'm paying someone to help our pets is very bad customer service. She should have when I called and asked for a refill write in down with my name and have it ready. Made the effort to go the extra mile. When you have a job you should always go above and beyond to treat the customer right. It's sad that people could care less about them. The Doctors are good but it's just getting pass the front desk.

I have always loved Roundy and he takes great care of my pets and I feel like his prices are great for vet care. But when the receptionist is rude and inconsiderate I have to consider other places because she is so unwilling to help me and answer my questions.

They got me in the same day I called! I waited no more than 10 minutes after I filled out paperwork to see the vet.
The doctor was great! Very informative. I could tell the clinic was busy but he took plenty of time to look over my dog and prescribe some medications to help his vomiting and diarrhea. He showed me how to administer the medications. He also plucked my dogs ears for me as well as shaved around his eyes and bottom where the groomer missed.
My other dog began having the same symptoms and I will be taking him in later on today. I'm sure my experience will be the same.
I wasn't pressured into procedures or tests, he mentioned a a few tests we could conduct but he advised against it saying he would rather have my money go towards something he was sure would fix the problem. The cost was probably a third of what I am used to paying at other clinics so that was a relief.
My only complaint would be whoever answers the phone. She was a little short with my questions and concerns and seemed annoyed a little. It's understandable at the end of a long day which is when I called the first time but I did call again the next day for my second dog first thing in the morning and the response was the same. Still giving 5 stars because everyone was kind once I got there.

We love Dr. Joe and Dr, Jon! My big dogs are not really comfortable with strangers and every time we go in there Joe is able to make him feel at ease. I have huge giant breed dogs and they are taken care of excellently. We have boarded them there as well and they felt comfortable and at home and were well taken care of. We definitely recommend for all animals, large and small.

My Standard Poodle had stopped eating and drinking and was lethargic. I called Saturday morning and they saw him right away. Check up was thorough and diagnosis was right on. Office and medication cost were quite reasonable. Front staff and doc were very nice & professional. I love country vets. That's the only way to go with pets in my opinion.

I was contacted about adopting a dog that was on death row for being unadaptable. They made us pay $200 for the dog, on top of having to pay for his shots and to be fixed. When I protested and said I wanted to take the dog to my regular vet, a staff member took the dog out of my arms and said maybe they could find him a different dog (a dog on death row!). My vet later confirmed they lied about the dogs age and breed. I was told I was getting a 3 month old red heeler, when in fact I got a 2 year old Chihuahua mutt mix with anxiety and abuse trauma.
Paid $200 for mutt on death row....
