Very nice; I found a cat that had been hit and tried to get it to any vet in time, but it didn't make it. They were the closest vet and they took it and said they would scan it for a chip and contact animal control to see if any one was missing it. I came to this hospital due to a recommendation from my dad. All I can say is I will never bring my animals here again. Liz, the “snapping” tech need to find another calling cause helping animals was the last thing I witnessed from her. The complete lack of professionalism from this office, specifically Liz, would and should make anyone take their animal elsewhere. After explaining previous abuse my dog went through with her previous owner, Liz’s (and thereby the entire office) only answer is to have my dog drugged. When I said that wasn’t something I was going to do to my dog, she spun around and left. I own a business and if my employees treated any of my customers that way, they would be fired immediately. This past Friday May 6, 2016 we had to put down our 12-1/2 year old Chihuahua who suffered a nasty head injury from a fall down our stairs. In the weeks leading up to the day we decided to put him down Dr. Karma Taylor & her staff were very supportive. They helped us get Toby in for visits & evaluations, he was given medications to try to help him improve. Unfortunately his improvements were not that great & he began to worsen. Dr. Taylor never told us to put him down & offered further options for us, but near the end his suffering was constant and it was the right thing to do. On the day of his passing they were super supportive of us & helped our dog relax before he finally went to sleep. He was nervous, & she made him comfortable for the whole process. My two oldest kids (ages 10 & 8) were there & were able to have a nice experience with Toby. They are very compassionate & care a lot about dogs. The prices are more than fair, in fact they should raise their prices. I am grateful that we are able to have them as our vet for our dogs, our remaining Chihuahua Tina is still seeing Dr. Taylor for some problems with an ear infection. I have been a customer of Brookside for many years starting with my first pet dog I had in the early 80's. I know they aren't taking more patients because they are busy as is, but if they are ever opening up for new patients I would highly recommend them for their skill, friendly service, and super fair prices. There is a reason they are so booked that they cant take new patients.. Doc Taylor is one of the best Vets i have ever seen, and I have met alot. She is a very good very, and takes very good care of your pets. I had her do an ACL surgery on my dog, and she did a great job. Its been 4 years since the surgery and is still holding strong. I absolutely love this vet. Sometimes the staff doesn't have the nicest faces on, but honestly why does that matter? As long as my animals are taken care of fairly and healthy, that's all that matters :) This is the most fair veterinary place i have even been to, never over-charging or make up things to bump up the price. It is well worth the wait of an appointment, and I will never go anywhere else. A while back, my cat had a tooth that was crooked and was half way out of his mouth. We needed an appointment fast, and went somewhere else (Huge mistake), after they looked at him, they said it would cost $500 for this and that so we left. We did a walk in and sat in the waiting room for a check up at Brookside for a while, then when they saw him, they pulled the tooth out and the cat didn't even flinch. The doctor said that he couldn'd charge us for how easy it was. I am a customer for life, for the little things that they do and how they treat my animals and myself. I took my dog in on Friday for some problems I have been noticing with him. She decided to take a CBC. And was so good with me and my dog. However, Monday morning came and I called to get the results. The two women that answer the phones are so rude and told me they would have the Dr. call me. Never received a call from the Dr. all week. I called every day to get the results and was told the same thing. Finally on Thursday I demanded my money back ! They are so rude and they didn't care if my dog was sick or needed care. And still never gave me his results! My grandparents and parents have taken their dogs here for years, those babies have come and gone...now I have my own little dog family and take them as well. They are very busy most days and because of the care each pet receives sometimes they get a little behind. I don't mind waiting because the price is very reasonable and they care about my little ones. They have made some improvements more recently to their lobby and exterior. In dire need, I've taken my dogs other places and been charged 2 or 3 times as much as Brookside would have charged me. Because of how sweet Karma is and the reasonable price I haven't been anywhere else in years. Some days while waiting, I see the phones ring and ring and there is a line of people in front of the receptionists. It's understandable when they do get frustrated or have to juggle between continuous phone calls on hold, calling people back and helping those in front of them. Working in customer service myself, I feel for them. They can't control the walk-ins or who calls and when. I think they do pretty good. Some could say, well just hire more staff, but then there goes the price. Working for a small business, I get the delicate balance, no complaints from me! I have been goint to Dr. Taylor for years. He took care of all our horses and our dogs, even a dang cat occasionally. Always prompt appointments, prompt visits while there and wonderful caring by the staff. Occasionally, I've waited a few minutes or longer, emergencies take preference to a routine visit. I went to Brookside 1st time. They are taking new clients & they have a new vet whom I met, I thought he was great & the Lady vet was also really Nice she was out sitting talking to an elderly client like they where old friends! very personalbe. It was Crazy Phones ringing off the hook and people coming in and out. The front girls where running around but where in control. everyone friendly! The Best thing was there prices in this economy Brookside really is awesome! they CARE about pets NOT MONEY!!!! Im so glad I got in!!!! No waiting! First of all the receptionist is mean. The office and appointments are not organized. You can wait up to an hour. I took my 9 year old dog on a Thursday because he wasn't feeling well and couldn't keep food down. They keep him and gave him fliuds and said they would run tests and blood work. On friday they said he was doing better and keep the fluids going. On Saturday they call and said he had diabetas and would give him insulin. On Sunday they called and said he was really bad. We had to put him down. First of all if they had run the tests on Thursday they would of known. Instead of waiting till it was too late. 3 days???? Insulin was not the cure. By the time they read the tests his kidneys were shutting down. If they would of done their job I would still have my dog!!! I would suggest never going th Brookside!!!! Read Less

She wouldn't give me any prices and then she said they weren't accepting any new clients. I wouldn't go there even if they were accepting new clients because she did not sound like a friendly person. I remember taking our dogs there 20 plus years ago, some of the faces changed but they truely care about the animals. If anyone is looking for an animal clinic, I first will mention Brookside, because of them truely caring about the animals, and the prices are probably the best in the valley. I have been with Brookside, and Dr. Taylor for 10 years now, and love everything about them. My great dane(RIP) has been in and out of the vet's office due to AutoImmune disease, and everytime we would go there, we were treated with love and respect. My great dane LOVED going to see Carma and her staff. Zeus would get the best care there from all of her staff, Jolieta, Jerry, Wendy, and many others. Carma even made a special trip in on a saturday to help us when Zeus was really sick. We have two other dogs and they both get all their care at Brookside. All of our friends keep BEGGING me to get them into Brookside, and are willing to be put onto a waiting list. they are GREAT! my cat was sick, and the whole surgury and all was the cost of only xrays at anothe office. they let me come see here, gave her the special bottled water i requested, and loved her to death. they were so concerned about how i felt about it, as well as making sure she was well taken care of. my cat has since come to be known as pumkin. when i broght her sister in to pick her up, now they call them the kabob twins, and love them to death! they took such good care of her, she was about to die, and not only did they take care of her physicaly, but emotionaly, and made as untraumatizing as possible Read Less
