They are always so professional, friendly, and willing to talk to you about any concerns and involve you in the process. We take multiple dogs and cats here and have had a great experience everytime. I have had other vets talk down to me, disregard my concerns, and ultimately misdiagnose my pets because they don't want to listen to what I have to say. My little Winnie had a spinal cord injury that caused paralysis. After surgery from a specialist, Animal Care took Winnie under their wing. This place is terrible. In the two years we've used them, we've been completely unimpressed and yesterday was the last straw. My dog managed to slice his leg open while playing in our backyard. He needed immediate attention. I checked online to make sure they were open, they were until 5pm. I called to double-check. Phone went straight to voicemail but the message said they "now have extended hours on Saturdays" so we jumped in the car and went straight there. Upon arrival, it was clear they were having some sort of event out front for kids. I took my dog in and they refused to treat or even see my dog because they were having an open house and directed us to AVC on 3300 S. The very least they could have done was change their voicemail that day so I would not have wasted my time. It's clear that this farce of a clinic cares more about marketing than actually caring for their patients. That incident aside, this place does not know how to treat cats. As any cat owner knows, cats do not like vets, let alone leaving their home. It's best to get them in and get them out. They are going be stressed even in a special cat room with a special spray. This clinic made me come in twice when the vet couldn't coax my cat out from underneath the bench in the exam room. And they were happy to charge a second exam fee. I guess with a newborn strapped to my chest and two cats in tow, that I looked like I wanted to have my time and money wasted. If you want your time and money wasted, love receiving ridiculous emails about acupuncture treatment for your pets, or desire a vet that refuses to care for your pets when it really counts, this place is for you. This is the best vet in town. They really care about your pets and treat them like family, because they are family. We had to put down our dog a few years ago here and they were so respectful. We usually take our dog to a vet all the way in Holladay, but we got a new puppy and needed a vet closer to home. He has a respiratory infection but wasn't improving so I wanted a second opinion from the first vet we saw early in the week. From the first minute they answered the phone I was impressed ("how can I make your day better today?"--- you already did just by answering the phone that way!) They offered to see him right away even though they didn't have appointments left, and they told me to keep him in the car so he wouldn't spread it to other dogs. The techs came out to my car and examined him in the back seat. Because of his symptoms they wanted to take him in to check his nasal passages in case he had something stuck up there. So unfortunately I had to end up spending a lot more than I hoped but I was grateful they wanted to take every precaution with him being so young. I loved that they called him my kiddo, because he is! The lobby only has two seats so it's not meant for sitting around and waiting but I loved how open and bright and clean it was. Every staff member was super friendly and caring and they took great care of him. The conference room they sit you in to talk about the procedure and results had a nice comfy couch and it made me feel more comfortable and not as worried. I am so happy I decided to try this place and look forward to making this our permanent vet. Read Less

We have been bringing our cats here for years. The vets and staff seem to really care about our fur babies. Dr. Ally is great if you are looking for chiropractic or alternative medicine services. Dr. Kara is an intrical part of our lives. She is fantastic with our fur kids, as well as explaining things to us and answering our questions. I own two Golden Doodles, we tried a few pets and they were fine but not great. Then we found Animal Care Center, they were a little more expensive than the other vets that we seen but the level of professionalism and care for the pets is awesome. We used them for grooming, but thought they were to expensive. After a horrible experience with another groomer, we decided that the extra cost was well worth it. When I leave my dogs somewhere, I want to know that they are taken care of well and that when I return I like to see happy wagging tails. I get this every time with Animal Care Center. Read Less

They take such great care of our Yorkie! The clinic is clean, well maintained, and the employees are all very kind and helpful. I love that I can schedule appointments online, that they keep electronic records of everything, and that they send an email when it's time for Daisy's check ups and shots. I absolutely love this vet clinic. The whole staff have been amazing and kind. They are the only vet clinic who will suggest I bring in my sick dogs even if they do not have an appointment. I take my dogs to The Utah Dog Park for daycare, which is how I heard about doctor Pam and her practice. The staff there is amazing. I took my dogs in to be seen for coughs. I didn't have an appointment but they squeezed me into the schedule and were so sweet and welcoming. It's refreshing to go to a place where you can tell the people that work there love their jobs. Animal Care Clinic is the best! I scheduled an appointment for my dog. When I arrived, there was no wait time at all and was put in an exam room right away. The doctor came in within 3-5 minutes to discuss the issue. After a few minutes, my dog had an ultra sound and exam completed. After a few minutes of discussion, we were on our way home. Test results came in the time frame of 3-4 days as advised. A minor infection that was totally treatable. A huge piece of relief on my part. The staff is always happy and courteous. The Animal Care Center won me over when my Rottweiler, Daisy needed physical therapy a year and a half ago. Daisy loved going, and the doctors were so good to her. When she developed pneumonia a year ago at 10 years old, I had a difficult time getting an appointment with her regular vet, but Dr Kara took her right in that morning. When Daisy developed kidney failure her previous vet that had diagnosed the illness, told me over phone he couldn't see her for a few days even after I told him she had declined quickly. I called animal care center in tears and they told me to bring her right in. Dr Kara knew immediately that Daisy's kidneys had quit and gently let me know it was her time to go. The staff, the doctors.., everyone was so supportive and so sweet to Daisy. It was the little things that mattered that day. dr Kara was interested in Daisy's life, she listened to stories about when she was a puppy, silly antics while Daisy grew up. We talked about her life at the end and I will never forget how much comfort that gave me. I still miss my Daisy very much! But the memory of how sweet her send off was was really special. That day I asked them to transfer my poodle's records from the previous vet hospital because my animals have a new vet. Just this morning the staff and the doctor allowed me to wait in the conference room while my 8 month old toy poodle got nurtured, because I was so nervous and worried about him having surgery. They gave me updates every few minutes until the surgery was over. They care as much for the over worrying pet parents as they do the animals. I love going here. Everyone is super patient and knowledgeable. I have been here a lot and will continue to go. I would've posted a 5 but the last time I went in here the doctor acted as if she did not know who I was. I have taken my dog here about 6-7 times and she has seen him every time and it's like she just forgot everything about him....it was weird and awkward for me. I am so impressed with this clinic! I came for a referral for a chiropractic appointment for my dachshund, who injured himself at some point recently. I chose to visit the vet here for the referral, and the chiropractor after. The thoroughness and knowledge of the docs was impressive, and my pup is resting comfortably for the first time in weeks. I was so shocked at the level of customer service we received from the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out! Everyone is genuinely friendly, and really made me feel like they cared. My pup hurt her foot, and Dr. Lindsey was so calm and gentle when handling my nervous girl! When she was doing the exam, she noticed that my dog also had a cracked tooth. We expressed concerns about soft fleshy lumps near my dogs armpits, and the Dr. seemed equally concerned, while our previous vet waved them off as if they were nothing. While they were working on our pup, we were given a tour of the facility, which was very clean and well kept. When they brought our dog back from her procedure, she had a cute sparkly bandage on her foot, and the tech. commented that when she had her tooth procedure done they would paint her nails! Those small little things really make me feel happy to have such people caring for my pet. I am 1000% more impressed and comfortable at this vet than at my previous. I'm so grateful for this staff! It was not an easy decision putting our cat down this morning. Throughout the process of fighting our cat's ailment for the past number of years, Animal Care Center has been the most helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable veterinary clinic we've worked with. We arrived first thing, shortly after they opened, and the staff at Animal Care Center welcomed us with compassion and comfort. It was incredibly helpful being in the presence of people who were respectful of the difficult decision and process of letting an animal go. My dog just had surgery to remove some lumps and to get her teeth cleaned and I had full confidence in them. The staff at Animal Care Center is amazing. They go above and beyond for us. We also send our pup to the Utah Dog park, which is owned by them, for boarding and doggy day care. I always feel she is in good hands when we leave her with them. Our pup had her spay and an eyelid surgery done by Dr. Pam. Dr. Kara is awesome and Dr. Lindsay and Dr. Verona have be there for afterhours questions. The Amber and support staff is great too. We took our 12yo lab mix in as an emergency. We really did not think we would be bringing our baby home. She appeared to have had a seizure, stroke, she couldn't see her eyes were spinning around and back and forth, and she couldn't stand. The outlook appeared grim. They kept Shadow from Saturday through Monday. The amazing care and love she received from the staff was nothing short of a miracle. She is now going up and down the stairs within days of coming home. Without the care and love you gave her, she would not be here. I can't put into words how amazing these people are. We unfortunately had to put our beloved cat of 18 years down on Friday night and these people were so supportive and sweet the entire time. I called early Friday and they were completely booked for the day. But I told them what was going on and they said that they would work her in between some appointments. We got there just after 4 and were seen pretty quickly. Dr. Kara was such a wonderful lady. She was upfront and told us exactly what she thought and recommended. Which we really appreciated because it's such a hard decision to make. They gave us ample time to make a decision and spend the last moments with our sweet girl.
