I made two appointments and each one was cancelled by the hospital because the first time the doctor was sick and the second time no reason given. They appear to want you to drop your pet off as oppose to seeing you at a scheduled time with your pet. I am not planning to review my plan with them for this reason only. The low rating is not due to quality of care, it is due to the fact that it is hard to get an appointment where you can be seen with your pet and not have to do a drop off.

We have two pups and were looking for a place to take them where they were taken care of and we didn't break the bank. We also were looking for pet insurance when a friend mentioned Banfield as an option, specifically the Wellness Plans. We started them on their each plan have had a pretty good time with Banfield ever since. The prices are not bad, and we feel they get great care. The Wellness Plan comes with free checkups, annual xrays, shots and access to special diets like new products. We just got free fitness trackers for the pups to try out. S for the personnel they are awesome. They always attentive, friendly and helpful. Our little guy this afternoon we acting a little skittish and not himself. We called and was able to bring him in within 30 min. I doubt you could do that with another vet. One thing my wife just reminded me about is that you can go to any of there locations and they are located at Petsmarts all over the US. Our pups love Banfied and I know yours will too. I have been here so much over the past three years with three dogs, one of which was very sick with a chronic and fatal disease. Dr Lauren Maxey has always been amazing. She really loves the animals and really cares. When the door to the back room had swung open, I've seen her cuddling and holding my sick dog when she thought no one was looking. She always follows up on time with test results etc. and she always returns calls and is thorough with appointments and next steps. I can't say one bad thing about my experience with dr maxey and at this point I've had probably two dozen appointments with her and a similar number of phone calls with her. She's very friendly and knowledgeable. There's a woman named Macy who works at the front desk who is great. Vet techs are friendly and several even know my dog grace by name and recognize her when we come in. Dr maxey is our regular vet there but I have seen the other vets when she was not available. I have never had a bad experience with any of them. Dr King once saw my dog and was so interested in his liver disease that he said he was going to read up more on possible causes that night and to call him the next day. Some other reviews state poor customer service. I will admit this is a very busy Banfield location. Sometimes it's difficult to get in last minute if you need to be seen quickly. In which case you may need to go to a true animal hospital that accepts walk ins and is open 24 hours because this place is not that. But for non emergencies and regular medical care, I think this place is pretty good. As other reviews state they recommend tests that do cost money. I believe they are trying to be thorough. There have been times when they said no we don't recommend that test right now. So I've seen it go both ways and don't believe they are only trying to make money by selling tests.

Buyer beware...we were sold the pet insurance and used it while we lived in the area. When we found out that we would be moving abroad, we informed Banfield and had multiple phone conversations with staff about our situation. NONE of the staff on the phone gave us any idea that cancelling would be an issue. We left feeling certain that we had closed out our agreement. The following month we, noticed we were still being charged. Through multiple email interactions, we were effectively told that they would continue to charge us for almost an entire additional year. Their customer service is very poor. The care our pet received was average.

I love going to Banfield. My on dog used to go another vet which was expensive. I started taking my small dog about 3 years ago. It is convientent and always accesible. They recommended a wellness plan to cover all the expenses.It is a good deal. I now have two wellness plans and I love them. The whole team is excellent and you can ask them anything. I thought before going there that the dogs would be expensive to take care of. Banfield made that easier. Clean and well staffed at all times and they explain every detail. I will keep going back

I have generally had a good experience with Banfield Pet Hospital. The staff are extremely professional and my kitties are always well taking care of. I find their prices to be quite reasonable and on par with the rest of the area. I have pet insurance for both of my cats and I find this to be incredibly beneficial financially over the long term opposed to paying her a visit. The insurance covers their wellness checks, vaccinations, and dental cleanings. For 2 cats it would cost me a fortune if I did not have the insurance in place. I try my very best to make sure that I see the same doctor each visit to ensure that my cat has a consistent doctor. I do not like them to visit multiple people and get multiple opinions unless I need a second opinion. I truthly like Banfield, and have been fortunate to not experience any major problems.

When i contact the branch they say it is not their responsibility the i call Banfield company they say it is not their problem. This company do not care about customer satisfaction, only thing they care is money!!!!

Very disappointing. We got the pet insurance bcasue it was worth if when the cat was a kitten, but kept it in case something happened. That was stupid. Dont get the insurrance. It doesnt actually cover anything. My cat is very scared and can lead him to being more aggresive so they require him to be sedated. We have no choice there. I'd be okay with that if it wasn't an additional $200 on top of the insurance which is around $15 a month.

It doesnt actually cover anything. My cat is very scared and can lead him to being more aggresive so they require him to be sedated. We have no choice there. I'd be okay with that if it wasn't an additional $200 on top of the insurance which is around $15 a month.

Here’s why I’m not going back: took my dog in for a physical exam/office visit and a Lepto vaccination. The exam consisted simply of listening to her heart. Never looked in her ears, her mouth, nor her eyes. Didn’t do a body check for lumps of any sort. And didn’t even take her temperature. When I was checking out and told the clinic manager nothing was really done and asked him for an explanation of what an exam includes, he said a temp check and a body check for abnormaties. I told him neither was done. He said we followed our protocol. Which I guess means nothing. I was supposed to go back in 3 weeks for the second in the Lepto vaccine series (booster) which the manager said would require another office visit/exam charge. For what I asked? They didn’t even do anything this time. His reply was that’s our protocol and I’m not giving you a free visit. Needless to say they don’t need to because we won’t ever be going back there. Clearly they just want to ring up charges without regard to actual care or service.
And for the record, I called their corporate office and spoke with a Pet Advocate that same day who told me someone would be back in touch in 2-3 days. That was last Monday, a week ago. Some customer advocate. Are they so swamped with complaints that they can’t keep up with them? Makes you wonder.

I am extremely surprised by all these negative reviews. I have been going to Banfield and have had the wellness program for my dogs for the past 12 years and I have nothing to complain about the. Their vet is Dr. Maxey and she very good. The front desk has always been helpful and pleasant.

Love this location. I never have any problems with any of the staff, even the times I've ran a few minutes late. Also, Dr. Maxey is the best! She's always really sweet to my dog, and the times that I've done a drop off appointment, she always calls, to personally tell me how the check up went and what the test results were, which I really appreciate. I would recommend Dr. Maxey to anyone.

When my dog was 6 weeks old I joined the Banfield puppy plan thinking I was getting a good deal. Worse decision ever. It's a complete scam. I've paid more than three times what I would have normally paid if I just went to a normal vet. When I arrive on time for scheduled appointments I typically wait 30-45 minutes before being seen. I understand there are hiccups in a scheduele sometimes but this is an ongoing problem. Today I dropped my dog off to get Spayed. I arrived as soon as they opened and no one was there. The front desk lady was ten minutes late, therefore causing delay in my scheduele. I had many questions to ask, she had no clear answers then she told me I could wait until I picked my dog up to have these questions answered. As soon as I arrived to work one of the doctors called me and said "Sorry this wasn't explained to you but you will be charged an extra fee since your dog just finished her heat cycle" Mind you this was one of the questions I had needed to ask. I will no longer be taking my pets here and I do not mind going through the troubles I will have to face to cancel my plan. I could go on forever with every horrible thing we have dealt with since I've been going to Banfield. In my opinion its not worth your time, money, or dogs happiness/health to go to this location.

The vet tech I had wouldn't let me watch clip my cats nails, so that I could hold her down as they do it, and I waited nearly 30 min, after I showed up 15 min early for my appointment. And in the back room they left my cat on the floor in her cage when they were done where dogs could come up to her, even when i asked them about, they said she wasn't in the cage until i told them i see her, and they picked it up and said she must be done. The vet himself seemed nice though, but I won't be coming back.

I love the wellness plan because it's affordable, and the doctors are nice...but the front desk service it ridiculously slow and just oblivious of their customers needs. I get so frustrated every time I go. I don't get checked in until 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment, then when I finally get into a room, I wait another 15 minutes, not to mention the wait time to check out. It just takes way too long for an office visit...plan to be there an hour longer than you would expect.

I may have gotten the same vet twice during the 2yrs I'd been going there. I agree with the other reviews, you are never seen at your appointment time and the staff isn't very personable. The location off route 50 is better.

I am surprised by all the negative reviews. i have had nothing but good experiences at this location. The only time I've had to wait there is when we come in on a walk in basis without an apt. even so they are always very friendly, treat my dog with kindness and always call us to do follow up. Drs Teferi and Bayomi are wonderfully kind and know my dog well. They have repeatedly treated my dog successfully for his gastro enteritis. they don't order unnecessary and expensive tests either. I am so pleased with he service we are bumping up my now 9 year old dog to the maximum wellness plan. My husband and I are glad to have this hospital so close to us

I made two appointments and each one was cancelled by the hospital because the first time the doctor was sick and the second time no reason given. They appear to want you to drop your pet off as oppose to seeing you at a scheduled time with your pet. I am not planning to review my plan with them for this reason only. The low rating is not due to quality of care, it is due to the fact that it is hard to get an appointment where you can be seen with your pet and not have to do a drop off.

I love going to Banfield. My on dog used to go another vet which was expensive. I started taking my small dog about 3 years ago. It is convientent and always accesible. They recommended a wellness plan to cover all the expenses.It is a good deal. I now have two wellness plans and I love them. The whole team is excellent and you can ask them anything. I thought before going there that the dogs would be expensive to take care of. Banfield made that easier. Clean and well staffed at all times and they explain every detail. I will keep going back

I was supposed to go back in 3 weeks for the second in the Lepto vaccine series (booster) which the manager said would require another office visit/exam charge. For what I asked? They didn’t even do anything this time. His reply was that’s our protocol and I’m not giving you a free visit. Needless to say they don’t need to because we won’t ever be going back there. Clearly they just want to ring up charges without regard to actual care or service.
And for the record, I called their corporate office and spoke with a Pet Advocate that same day who told me someone would be back in touch in 2-3 days. That was last Monday, a week ago. Some customer advocate. Are they so swamped with complaints that they can’t keep up with them? Makes you wonder.

I am extremely surprised by all these negative reviews. I have been going to Banfield and have had the wellness program for my dogs for the past 12 years and I have nothing to complain about the. Their vet is Dr. Maxey and she very good. The front desk has always been helpful and pleasant.

Love this location. I never have any problems with any of the staff, even the times I've ran a few minutes late. Also, Dr. Maxey is the best! She's always really sweet to my dog, and the times that I've done a drop off appointment, she always calls, to personally tell me how the check up went and what the test results were, which I really appreciate. I would recommend Dr. Maxey to anyone.

When my dog was 6 weeks old I joined the Banfield puppy plan thinking I was getting a good deal. Worse decision ever. It's a complete scam. I've paid more than three times what I would have normally paid if I just went to a normal vet. When I arrive on time for scheduled appointments I typically wait 30-45 minutes before being seen. I understand there are hiccups in a scheduele sometimes but this is an ongoing problem. Today I dropped my dog off to get Spayed. I arrived as soon as they opened and no one was there. The front desk lady was ten minutes late, therefore causing delay in my scheduele. I had many questions to ask, she had no clear answers then she told me I could wait until I picked my dog up to have these questions answered. As soon as I arrived to work one of the doctors called me and said "Sorry this wasn't explained to you but you will be charged an extra fee since your dog just finished her heat cycle" Mind you this was one of the questions I had needed to ask. I will no longer be taking my pets here and I do not mind going through the troubles I will have to face to cancel my plan. I could go on forever with every horrible thing we have dealt with since I've been going to Banfield. In my opinion its not worth your time, money, or dogs happiness/health to go to this location.

The vet tech I had wouldn't let me watch clip my cats nails, so that I could hold her down as they do it, and I waited nearly 30 min, after I showed up 15 min early for my appointment. And in the back room they left my cat on the floor in her cage when they were done where dogs could come up to her, even when i asked them about, they said she wasn't in the cage until i told them i see her, and they picked it up and said she must be done. The vet himself seemed nice though, but I won't be coming back.

I love the wellness plan because it's affordable, and the doctors are nice...but the front desk service it ridiculously slow and just oblivious of their customers needs. I get so frustrated every time I go. I don't get checked in until 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment, then when I finally get into a room, I wait another 15 minutes, not to mention the wait time to check out. It just takes way too long for an office visit...plan to be there an hour longer than you would expect.

Only to be told that they could not see her because she didn't have an appointment. I lost my mind at that. I wasn't aware you can pick and choose what animals to help based off appointments. Place is a joke

I may have gotten the same vet twice during the 2yrs I'd been going there. I agree with the other reviews, you are never seen at your appointment time and the staff isn't very personable. The location off route 50 is better.

The only time I've had to wait there is when we come in on a walk in basis without an apt. even so they are always very friendly, treat my dog with kindness and always call us to do follow up. Drs Teferi and Bayomi are wonderfully kind and know my dog well. They have repeatedly treated my dog successfully for his gastro enteritis. they don't order unnecessary and expensive tests either. I am so pleased with he service we are bumping up my now 9 year old dog to the maximum wellness plan. My husband and I are glad to have this hospital so close to us
