We recently moved to Ashburn and needed to find a new Vet to take Gunner to. I scheduled an appointment and when we walked in the staff was super friendly! My dog is sometime shy and has a great sense for people. I have never seen him so comfortable before, especially knowing how he has been with past experiences with veterinarians. Sue and Shannon were such a help in introducing us to the staff and was key to making Gunner feel comfortable during his visit. He did so well and had no issues throughout the entire visit! When we met with Dr. Germann she took care of Gunner and administered all of his shots with ease. We spent 45 minutes in the office, 20 of which was spent with her sharing some of her expertise and answering questions I had relevant to gunners care. I have a follow up appointment coming up soon and it is such a relief to know that Gunner won't be anxious. I highly recommend Dr. Germann and her team!! Read Less

The staff at Ashburn Village Animal Hospital went above and beyond for my cat named Slim. Slim has been struggling to keep down food, so I took him in for a visit. I've lived in the area for 10 years and this place has been my go to for my dogs over all others. The staff is delightful and always willing to spend time and get us what's needed. Dr Germain has been caring for my current kids since I first adopted them and I'd want no other vet if possible. She's qualified surgeon and along with spay/neuter was also able to remove a tumor I found and given excellent advise since. Honestly I've had dogs in my life for 30 years but never had ones that LOVE to go see the vet. The staff know them personally and treat us like family. Yes there are costs associated with care and some may seem high but they try and save for me where they can and accommodation is provided at a moments notice. Even if I left the area I think is make the trip to see these professionals. .. LOVE,LOVE LOVE my vet care facility and all those that help us when we need them. Read Less

I could not offer higher praise for the doctors and staff at Ashburn Village Animal Hospital. Dr. Germann and her team provide excellent care to my Alaskan Malamute. Owning a large dog can be a challenge, especially if they need a bath, but the vet techs at Ashburn Village make it look easy and always send my pooch home looking like she stepped out of doggie shampoo commercial. I really like that they provide a billing estimate up front and make sure to remind me of upcoming vaccinations or tests that need to be run so they can take care of everything that day (if desired) since my pooch isn't the biggest fan of car rides. This is the best animal hospital I've had the pleasure of taking my animals to. The staff members are friendly and caring and the doctors are amazing. As the daugther of a vetrinarian, I didn't think anyone would be able to take as good of care of my pets as my dad. The employees at AVAH are friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. My little black kitty, Hunter, hadn't been feeling well recently and was constipated. Dr. Germann was very helpful in diagnosing the underlying issue and thoroughly describing the best treatment for Hunter. The staff at AVAH have come to know Hunter and his quirky demeanor. They are always happy to see him and always remember his name when we walk in the door. I came in about a year ago and had one of the worst experiences ever and my review was only one star. They responded to my review and asked if I would give them another chance, still determined not to, I spoke to my friends and asked them for their vets name, coincidentally it was Dr. Germann at Ashburn Village Animal Hospital. The asked me to try them again because they are extremely happy with them and everyone can have a bad day. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My pet's visits are always quick, but I never feel rushed at all. Dr Germann always takes her time when completing a thorough exam of my dog. My dog has been dealing with digestive issues recently, and Dr. Germann's thought out treatment plan has helped him immensely. Through her recommendations and testing, we discovered he developed a sensitivity to fat in his diet! The prices here are a bit higher than what I'm used to, but I'm glad to pay a little extra when I see the care my dog receives. Agree with all the reviews. They grossly overcharge and always try to push every little test possible whether truly necessary or not. Tech vets don't seem to have a clue and can't even do a proper nail trim, let alone drawing blood. Looking for a new vet that cares about my animals not just the fees. Read Less

Been taking my dogs there for about 7 years. They have always treated my dogs with love and affection. Yes, there has been a change recently, but the service is better than before. As much as I liked Dr. Velling, he was definitely checked out the last 3 years that he was there. I don't know why, but he was definitely checked out. My only knock is the prices, a little high. However, my dogs and I are completely happy, so I am not looking elsewhere.Read Less

Since moving to Virginia, I have found Ashburn Village Animal Hospital to consistently provide professional, courteous, prompt, cost-effective and knowledgeable care to my pets. The cost of annual exams and vaccinations is competitive with other local vets. I have found the cost of dental cleanings to be significantly kinder to my wallet than the other local vets I have visited. In addition, AVAH does not try to scare or sell me into extra pet-related tests/procedures simply to pad their bottom line. The vets, technicians and receptionists are extremely helpful and expert in each of their respective roles. I couldn't be happier with my pet's vet service. Read Less
