Highly recommended! Just wanted to thank the Jessica Beath Clinic very much for taking such great care of Ace (the Bouvier). I had taken our other Bouvier, Hussi (Ace's mom) to the clinic a few years ago as well. It's obvious they care about their patients and are compassionate about their work. They really helped put me at ease with both visits. Thankful they provide such an invaluable and very reasonable service. Read Less

I got my dog at Henrico County Animal Police Shelter in October of last year, they were wonderful, they told me they’d be sending my dog to this clinic before I could take her home. I paid them the fee for her to be spayed and get her shots and microchip, and when I picked her up they told me she had already been spayed and I should get a check in the mail within six weeks for the money back for the procedure. Not only have I not gotten that check, about 9 months later, I have called them numerous times to get copies of her records and they either have completely ignored my voicemails or have told me they have no records on file for my dog. This place is a nightmare to deal with, I recommend that you take your pets somewhere more responsible, that actually cares about its customers and their pets. Read Less

If you want a good price for a spay/neuter with a job well done, I highly recommend the Jessica Beath Clinic. Drop off takes about 10 minutes for you to fill out a form, then at pick up, you pay and you go, super easy. If you want to talk about the surgery or post-op care, don't go here, they're cheap because they're quick and don't staff a ton of people so they don't have time to chat. The staff is still extremely friendly and happy to answer questions if needed, but you won't get special care like at your regular vet. Read Less

I want to start by saying that I do not understand the negative reviews of the Jessica Beath Clinic. My husband & I needed an affordable place to have our two 7 month old Chihuahua puppies spayed and scheduled an appointment with Jessica Beath. They were spayed yesterday and are in excellent shape today as a result of the care that they were given at Jessica Beath. I think that people need to understand that a low cost spay and neuter clinic cannot run like a much more expensive family veterinarian. Due to keeping the cost low staff may be multi-purposing and may not be able to answer every call immediately as they are probably busy taking care of the pets that are in their care. Our daughter's dog was neutered at Jessica Beath in 2012 and was also very well taken care of. Thank you Jessica Beath!! Read Less

One of the vets charged my mother a $38 fee for having a bandage removed during a checkup appointment after a procedure for my dog. It was a small wrapping on her paw that we could have done in less than a minute. We called and they claimed it reasonable. I would not recommend bc of that vet and will not be a future patron. We had no problems with the establishment until this episode. Read Less

The vet staff was very rude and I found it uncomfortable I couldn't be in back with my dogs as they were getting routine shots. I also took my senior girl in for a second opinion and another set of x rays done on her mouth. I had already explained to them I need a different angle of the jaw and when they came back out, their response was "oh, we don't have the equipment for that procedure." So in the end I had to pay for a second round of x rays that my regular vet already had done and none of the vet staff cared. Not to mention, getting a return phone call is absolutely ridiculous! It's just too complicated to answer the phone, check a message, or send a fax for the reception staff there. Read Less

I had my dog neutered there on March 9th. I dropped him off at 830am and he was not done until 230!! That is a long time to have an animal go with out food or water!! The communication was AWFUL! I called numerous times to check on my pet only to get an answering machine. When i finally did reach someone, she advise that i not call and that they will call me when my dog is ready. When i went to pick up my dog the rude Amanda( who was eating a bowl of spaghetti) said my dog was not ready for pick up, she just simply called to let me know that he was done. Both when i dropped him off AND when she stated DONT CALL ME ILL CALL YOU that my dog would be ready, he was not so i had to wait another 30 minutes to get my dog, when i did it appeared that he had not been neutered. I called the next day only to leave again multiple messages, no answers., I finally get to speak with someone and in the middle of my statement Amanda cuts me off and says she did in fact call me and leave me a long message regarding my dog(which i never received a call ) then she told that my dog was neutered but he was just swollen. I am relived to hear that but the way the treat and communicate with their customers is wrong on many levels. I advised her that i would be contacting the BBB and she said great you do that and hung up on me! That orange paper they give you is not enough to answer your questions!!! They should have a LVT discharge you with your animal to go over post op care!! I did in fact contact the BBB and im currently waiting on a response. I have asked that my money be refunded as I am 100% completely dissatisfied with their service and how the treat their customers. UPDATE: I know have to take my dog to another vet and pay another office fee because he is coughing!!!! No amount of money savings is worth this place. Read Less

I was warned that due to where the tumor was they may not have been able to get it all but luckily they did. She goes back in two weeks to get the sutures removed and they are doing that with no extra charge. I went to 3 other vets all of them wanted around 2,000$ to fix her and they did it for 320$ pain meds and antibiotics included. Ive permanently switched all 5 of my dogs to this vet due to the care they show them and the low costs. The only thing i didnt like was as i was filling out paperwork they took her back before i said bye (shes been with me a long time and i treat all my dogs like family) other than that i have zero complaintsRead Less

I took my fourth month old lab to get spayed. They messed up my paperwork and tried to overcharge me by close to 100$. They were rude, rude to my dog, and tried to tell me she growled at them when I was standing right next to her. They don't even seem like they LIKE ANIMALS. My dog is asleep now from the medicine still, and after reading these reviews more thoroughly, if there is anything wrong with my dog--if she is sick or ANYthing--I will be filing a lawsuit against this place of business. My dog was still bleeding when I put her in my car because of "razor burn." This should have been taken care of WELL BEFORE I arrived to pick her up. She had been bleeding for a while. Please, for the love of God, don't take your pets here. The low prices are NOT worth it. Read Less

I have had several of my four legged children treated here and can say nothing but great things about them . I have a little chihuahua who they diagnosed with a very bad heart murmur and bad teeth. They put her on heart medication and antibiotics for her teeth since she was high risk candidate for a dental procedure. She then developed a bad tooth infection. They gave me the option of a dental which would require anesthesia or antibiotics. They informed me of the risks involved and because she was in a lot of pain, I decided to go ahead with the dental. They got her through with flying colors despite her having a heart problem. They promptly diagnosed my beagle mix with a rectal tumor and because of his age 16 to 17 they put him on medication and he is doing wonderful. They took a very aggressive tumor off my chihuahua's head and despite a recurrence he is doing great under their care. Despite making every effort to treat my corgi mix's persistent diarrhea, she had to be euthanized recently. They were very compassionate and made every effort to get her well. I could go on, but I will end with saying I absolutely trust these people with my pets and they have always gone out of their way and made every effort to keep my animals happy and healthy. Read Less
