Really impressed with this clinic. My horse had a tendon splitting yesterday by Dr. Hirsch. From the telephone consult before, to the people who helped me get her settled, the after care instructions, the fabulous facility and the friendly helpful staff from receptionist to veterinarians. Very impressive. Time will tell if the procedure works but I feel optimistic and know they gave her a great chance of success.

I have been taking my horses to Woodside Clinic for over 10 years and the doctors and staff have always been very professional and treat your horse like it is one of their own. The doctors and staff are extremely friendly and every procedure is explained to you prior to them proceeding. Dr. Anderson is the best horse chiropractor.. he has helped my horse "GUS" so many times get through some pretty rough times, I don't know what we would do without him... If you want the best for your horse this is the place to go, they are truly experienced, caring and All the doctors are top of the line. Their facility is first class all the way...!!

I have used Dr. Scott Anderson for many, many, years. Dating back to when I worked and lived at Brookhill Farm, in Charlottesville, VA. He has an amazing group of doctors working for him as well. You can tell he truly is a unique veterinarian and passionate about his work, which shows in the staff he picks to work with him. I worked for a couple years at Marion Dupont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA. and did training in their vet tech program. So, I've seen a lot of what goes on in surgery facilities, expecially behind the scenes. Some of the things I heard and saw their very own doctors doing and joking about, made me not want to pursue a career in horse medicine, and go back to teaching and training. I'm happy I had the opportunity to learn all I did...but, I now use that knowledge to keep my horses healthy and well and usually know immediately when any of my guys aren't right. I love my local vets. But, I knew when my Fly Right coliced & didn't come out of it after administering IV banamine, dehydrated, no gut sounds, etc. That I needed more intervention then what my vet here could do. Plus, if he did need surgery, we would already be there. I live in Chesapeake, and Woodside is approximately 2 hours away from our farm. They are the closest surgical facility for me. As soon as I called, I got a response back within 5 minutes from the vet. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a full medical team that did a full workup on my horse while putting me at ease too. They kept him overnight, and made him all better!

Just had Dr Johnathan Hirsh do a major bone debridement on my Belgian this guy is my pride and joy and I didn't want to put him down Dr Hirsh said OK we will try this I don't think either of us were ready for the start of recovery that Bert has made this horse is now walking not shuffling around and is returning to the happy horse he was I am very thankful for the great care they gave him along with keeping me informed on how he was doing the assistant s and office staff are great I would highly recommend this practice to any and all horse owners thanks again Dr Hirsh without you Bert would have not been able to still be here today

I had Dr. Mathias come for an emergency call on Saturday night, my Mare, Fancy had heaves. I was a brand new patient that was just so worried about my girl. She helped my baby girl, she put me at ease and put up with my crazy over protective horse mama nonsense and is still assisting me with long term care. Woodside is now my both my horse babies clinic. Dr Wolfe responded when my yearling had a terrible seizure in his stall. She was quick, professional and most importantly, she brought my little buddy back up to 100%. Great "bedside" manner. If you need equine veterinary services in Spotsylvania, you cannot go wrong with Woodside North. HIGHLY recommend.

At first I was impressed with the care and facility until I did some research. My horse had to have emergency colic surgery and time was an issue so we brought her here. Once I did my research, I found many things that were not up to par. She was never put on preventatives for ulcers nor was I advised to do so. We had complications two months after but since my $13000. 00 bill was already paid they were not interested in hearing about her problems. After 7 months of up and down problems, including chronic ulcers,I had to say goodbye to her. I have spoken to many people whose horses had similar surgeries and the care was different and the outcome was different. If you love your horse take it someplace else. Your animal and you will only be a dollar sign with these people.

Really impressed with this clinic. My horse had a tendon splitting yesterday by Dr. Hirsch. From the telephone consult before, to the people who helped me get her settled, the after care instructions, the fabulous facility and the friendly helpful staff from receptionist to veterinarians. Very impressive. Time will tell if the procedure works but I feel optimistic and know they gave her a great chance of success.

The doctors and staff are extremely friendly and every procedure is explained to you prior to them proceeding.
