My boyfriend and I just rescued an abandoned kitten at my work, and we were looking for a place that could take her within the first few days to make sure she didn't need any immediate attention. Animal Medical in Chesapeake had openings and great reviews so we decided to take her there. When we walked in, immediately I could tell we made the right choice. There were pets waiting patiently to be seen, and they called each one by name which I found adorable. The vet and assistant were amazing and took the time to check her over and see her mannerisms and answered every over-protective question I had about her. They also offer a care plan for kittens/puppies that make it financially easier to get all of her shots/tests/etc done with monthly payments rather than a large lump sum all at once. Overall, this vet clinic that we chose almost last minute proved to be the best choice we made and our kitten will be going here for all of her visits. They even sent us a text message the following day to see if we had any additional questions and to check on how she was doing. I give them 10 out of 10 and definetly recommend. My dogs have been cared for by Dr. Carrico and Dr. Oberlander for over three years now. They are incredibly patient with my nervous/timid dogs and have helped them become less nervous over time. It is always a positive experience. I trust them and I know they have our best interest in mind at all times.
