My husband and I moved here in May of 2016 we had five dogs and had no idea where to go so we decided to try Brentwood. It has proven to be one of the best decisions we have made not just for us but our furbabies as they mean the world to us. Right from the start we have always had excellent care. Recently my oldest doxie Hobbes went in to have a mass removed.... unfortunately he didn't make it...he never woke up from the anesthesia. I'm devastated but I couldn't ask for a better group of caring people for my precious boy to have been surrounded by and they gave their ALL to revive my boy. I know he was loved and given the Best care by Drs Hayden, Hughes and Carpenter and all the wonderful staff. I'm so grateful for all they have done for us. We switched to Brentwood a few months ago. Their comprehensive exam, printout of all expenses, and the summary of your pet and their health upon checkout impressed me. The staff and Doctors are thorough and take the time to answer all your questions, and give you all the information you need to make the right choice for you pet without judgement. I have a large dog, who is only a puppy still but despite his looks was treated very well. They answered every question and handled all my concerns plus Robin gave my son a cookie when she overheard him asking for a snack and I didn't have one with me. Brentwood has been my furry family Veterinary since as long as I can remember. Dr Carpenter and Dr Hughs are remarkable individuals. That's why I drive from Great Bridge to Deep Creek for their service. My dogs love them too. Even in difficult times or should I say, " especially in difficult times" is when you will KNOW if your veterinarian is right for your family. As I sit here waiting for my girl to get done I figured I would write a review. I talked with Hannah for a good week about my dog being sick since money was tight and it wasn't payday yet. Hannah was/is amazing! Hannah and staff walked me through everything, the bills, procedures and recovery. The doctors and techs are simply amazing. Zero complaints! They were able to get my girl back up and going. We received donated medication, military discount along with more. We did have to use icare which Hannah helped find us a comfortable monthly bill. I will recommend this vet to anyone! They treated my girl as if she was their own. Their heart is in their work, sure shows. I can't rave enough about this place. This get clinic was great today! I live in Norfolk and my dog broke out in a rash and hives. I tired to take care of it for 2 days with natural remedies and benadryl. After day 2 I knew he needed something stronger and I was not able to find a vet in Norfolk that had any openings the same day. I called Brentwood and they got me in the same day just a few hours after I called. The front office staff were so sweet and greeted me immediately. We didn't wait long. The tech and Dr. came in promptly and introduced herself and made my dog feel welcomed and comfortable. She made sure he was happy and comfortable before doing anything to him. Dr. Carpenter even got on the floor and checked him out and gave him treats. Overall my dog and I had a great experience. If they were closer to me I would use them as my normal vet, but I will be going back if I am in a need of anything major done. All prices were consistent with most other vets too. Read Less

My cat went in with weight loss, a severe flea problem, and eating issues and behavior issues. Turns out it's all chalked up to the flea problem which we're having treated now. Everyone was so kind and caring and the doctor took the time to explain to me that my poor guy has a heart murmur and she took the time to explain what that meant and that it could, hopefully, get better after the fleas are gone. Everyone was fantastic and I couldn't be more pleased. Now here's to hoping he gets better and eventually we'll have an echo cardiogram to check out his heart murmur. Read Less

My parents used to bring their dogs here & i was referred by someone who works with animals at a place in norfolk to come here so of course i did! The staff is always amazing & very caring. My husband and I recently moved here from PA. One of our dogs injured herself and needed to be seen by a vet. This Veterinary clinic is full of caring staff that will answer any question, even if it seems silly to some. They went above and beyond by trimming my puppies bottom to help, and even stayed after closing so I could pick his medicine up that night. The people at the desk were very nice. They were able to get me in the same day and the groomer Suzy was wonderful. Petsmart grooming told me my dog would need sedation to be groomed because she was too wiggly. Suzy did a great job with no sedation. Read Less

Took our chow/shep mix because he wouldn't eat. Yes it was costly but he is all better now! He was diagnosed with diabetes and was very sick, he almost died. Everybody there is very friendly and helpful. If I called for the doctor she got on the phone immediately and took care of my concerns. So I give them 5 stars! Read Less

I took my puppy my paper there v for her first shots. The people are really nice and friendly. Everything was clean. They are very pricey 249 for shots. One can go to Scpa or Banfield and just pay for the shots and whatever treatment your animal needs. Can't imagine myself going back because of the prices. Read Less
