I love the Veterinarians here. Dr. Porter is amazing and was able to diagnose my dog with a disease that is very rare for German Shepherds. We had no idea what was going on with him. Dr.Porter is the best. Took my Boston here in his older days for all his blood work, xrays, and seizures. He was euthanized here as well, staff was caring & accommodated us very well. They fit us in within the hour and we were met by a tech upon entering and immediately taken to a room. Read Less

My dog was "released" from another vet due to his temperament and anxiety towards the vet. Went to Western Branch and they were so great with my baby. He had no problems at all. The doctor and staff were so friendly....they played with him and talked to him the whole time and he didn't have any problems!!! It really shows that they care/enjoy what they do! My kitten was sick. I brought her there, they turned me away saying, "We don't have a doctor here right now" and they gave me a card for some other place that's way too far of a drive in my hot car for an already sick kitten. I called back, curious as to why they would be open with no doctor only to be told, "Oh... yea... I guess she was just out to lunch" by a catty sounding woman who was uncaring and unconcerned. My kitten died. Had I waited, for all I knew, the doctor might have come back in 10 minutes and saved her. Thanks for letting my pet die. Read Less

I brought my pregnant dog there a few days before giving birth because she was itching her ears and having some discharge, I walked out with a $400 bill. They ran tests without my permission, gave her an X-ray and said she was too big for the machine (it must only be for cats) and said it was too blurry to read but still charged me for that too. The doctor told me the X-ray showed 7 puppies.....she had 13. The doctor called me a few days later to give me test results and I told her that my dog has been in labor for over 24 hours and asked her if that's normal and asked how long she should be in labor, she said........hold on, let me look that up. shouldn't that be veterinarian 101? I could've googled it myself but asked her expecting an experienced answer. On top of all that my dog caught mange while being there and now we're dealing with that. I would never go back there and would never recommend them to anyone.Read Less

We had an exam performed, stool diagnostic lab samples, deworming medication, antibiotics and other stuff and the bill came out to only $150. The veterinarian was very friendly and explained everything that needed to be done with our puppy who was suffering from some intense diarrhea. The staff was very friendly, especially Sade, who was awesome with my 2 dogs. What a sweetheart!! The vet was very thorough in her examination. It was my first time visiting this veterinarian hospital and i wasnt pleased. Although the initial staff was welcoming i waited 45 minutes and there was no doctor. I feel as though my time is just as valuable as anyone else and a 45 minute wait is ridiculous; especially for me being a new customer. After waiting i finally decided to leave and the nurse informed me he was abt to come in the room. Well i hope so its been 45 minutes and i have a whinning dog with a hurt leg. I left. So I wanted to wait until I got in a few more visits with my dog before reviewing.  I love the care she gets from this place.  Everyone is very friendly and so far the vet staff seem very knowledgeable.  Their scheduling is also pretty flexible as I have had to reschedule some appointments at a very short notice due to mine or my husband's job.  Having a dog can be very expensive but so far price wise everything seems pretty reasonable.  My dog has had a few issues and all have been thoroughly looked at by the staff and have been corrected thus far.  There isn't really much else to say except that I will continue to take my dog here to be seen and I would recommend this place to family. This vet has been an amazing vet over the past 14.5 years we have been going there with my bassetts. The staff there has been so supportive for all these years with the issues we've had with my dogs.
