Chester Road. Dr Bunting was a wonderful warm compassionate person. After I moved to the other side of Chesterfield I switched vets but switched back to Centralia about a year ago. Both of my Persians ( I adopted 13 years ago) were patients there. My oldest female was seen and diagnosed by Dr Gaffney March through April. After numerous vet visits, medications, ultra sound , and special Hills Science Diet food she was euthanized there on April 14 by Dr Heisman who was wonderful. Over this past weekend my male Persian Azz became sick with what I thought was an abscess tooth. On Sunday I took him to Partners Emergency Vet on W. Broad st. Unfortunately it was a much worse diagnosis. He has numerous stomach tumors and after taking a fluid sample it was confirmed advanced stomach cancer. The prognosis was bleak and the vet ( Dr Devito) was straight forward and told me he probably had a day or 2 left. He was given IV fluids, pain medication, steroids, anti nausea, and a couple other medications all administered through IV. Although it was a long shot it could possibly buy him a few more days. Unfortunately there was no improvement and he would no longer eat and showed no interest in food. I call your office around 830 this morning and spoke to Gabby. I told her the situation and I needed a price to euthanize him. There was no need for an exam or anything else since all of the test results were sent there by the emergency vet yesterday. I told her he had not eaten in 24 hrs and the pain medicine ( Methadone) had worn off. She said she would retrieve the paperwork and call me back with pricing. 3!hrs went by and she hadn’t called so I called her. She quoted me $298 which I felt was high considering it was was the the same amount I had paid for Snapdragons on April 14 AFTER she was examined by Dr Heisman. I then ask if I could be billed given my very high bill from the emergency vet yesterday. I was told no. I have spent a small fortune there since Snapdragon became sick yet that appears to have made no difference. I live on a fixed income and with the vet bills over the last 4 months my savings is depleted. And no one there cared that my cat was in severe pain and had been without food for 24 hrs no compassion,no empathy only caring about the almighty dollar. $298 was more iimportant to you than doing the humane thing today and billing me. Azz was euthanized today at 130 by a different vet and the price was substantially cheaper. He is at peace and no longer suffering with No thanks to his former vet office, I will not use your facility any longer and I will spread this email far and wide.

I am saddened to say that after 30+ years of dedicated patronage we will be looking for a new vet. Things have changed drastically since Dr. Bunting retired and the practice is now under new management. The customers are paying outrageous prices to compensate the practice for recent renovations. How else can you justify THREE TINY PILLS (the equivalent of ibuprofen for cats) costing $32.40? I could list a dozen reasons, but believe me when I say, Centralia Animal Hospital now cares MORE about $$$ than they do our furry family members.

Would give 10 stars if I could. I loved the care my doberman, Kaiser, received. He loved it too! His little nub tail didn't stop moving the entire visit. It was my first visit and I was scheduled with Dr. Gaffney. He was amazing. I felt comfortable talking with him and he took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand. The Tech, receptionist, and every other staff member we met gave an amazing first impression. I wish I caught everyone's names! Would highly recommend. I'm extremely picky when it comes to my dog and I couldn't come up with a single complaint!

I agree with all the great comments prior to mine. We were new to the area a year ago and Centralia Animal Hospital was highly recommended to us. They have taken care of many of Buddy and Gidget's ailments with success and we could not be more pleased. I want to add one more thing that I will never forget, when I came to pick Buddy up after surgery one evening, the Veterinarian himself carried Buddy to the car. Thank all of the staff for being so wonderful to us!

Dr. Bunting and her staff took excellent care of my Max (4 month old chihuahua) the other day... I called them because he was vomiting and not being himself. They didn't have appointment available until the afternoon, but asked me to bring him up there so that could keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't get dehydrated. They kept him all day for me, while I worked. When they called me to pick him up, I was actually expecting an astronomical bill, It wasn't! It was less than I had even considered, for that I was very grateful! Thank you guys for taking such good care of Max, I'm happy to report he is back to him lil ole self :)

They have helped me and my family through some very emotional times with our pets. We are truly grateful for all of the staff their and appreciate all you have done for our furry family members. We took all of our pets to Dr Bunting and the centralia crew for years. She used to be great. Customer service now is terrible. It's nothing to wait 30min to over an hour after your appointment time to just get taking back to wait another 30min. Recently our dog was diagnosed with cushions. Dr Buntings prices are astronomical and continuing to increase. Straight up highway robbery. We got a second opinion and was amazed at the difference in prices and also lack of extra tests needed that she wanted us to do. Make sure you get a second opinion and price on anything she says. She's turned into a straight up crook.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Dr Bunting and her staff for taking such good care of my baby Gynger today. She is very sick and this is such a hard thing to go through but I could not have asked for a more compassionate team of people to help me through this day. Cary Street has begun the next steps to hopefully solve the puzzle but please know you all are greatly appreciated. Thanks again and I would recommend this office to anyone. Dr. Bunting has a true passion for what she does.

I love this place! My 3 year old dog, Joey, had a terrible skin infection that covered most of his back for about a year and the other vets I visited before Centralia couldn't figure out what was going on so he was misdiagnosed several times and given the wrong treatment. I finally decided to visit Centralia Animal Hospital and Doctor Bunting was absolutely wonderful. She really took her time with Joey and asked tons of questions - I could really tell she cared. The treatment she gave Joey worked perfectly and the infection cleared up in about a week. Dr. Bunting and the staff even called me several times to check up on Joey to see how the treatment was working. Joey looks and feels like a brand new dog! I brought him back for a follow up and Dr. Bunting was so happy to see how much his skin improved. Now we're working on getting him to lose a little weight and the staff still calls to check on him every now and then. Everyone there is so passionate and caring. I'm so grateful for Centralia Animal Hospital and I will never take Joey anywhere else.

From the very first visit which happened because of an emergency after we moved to the area, Dr. Dyer and the staff were awesome. Unfortunately, after hours on a Saturday, my dog had a complication and we went to an ER vet who proceeded to kill my precious dog. Dr. Dyer was notified by the vet and contacted me by phone ASAP on Monday with his apologies and to find out what happened. The staff sent a sympathy card and everyone said how sweet my dog was. I have seen Dr. Dyer and Dr. Gaffney since this happened in 2011 and have never been less than completely satisfied with their care. I do not believe in over vaccinating and they have been fine with my decisions and have not insisted on running titers or pushing me to vaccinate a 10 and 5 year old dog. Any time you bring an animal in sick, they always call to check and see how they are progressing. I definitely recommend Centralia Animal Hospital to any pet owner in the area for their individualized care.

We have been patients with Dr. Bunting for 23 years. We have lived in a lot of places over our 50 years as a married couple, with a number of dogs. In all of those places we never found the kind animal care that we found with Dr. Bunting and her staff. She and the staff have treated our pets (and us) with the kind of care that is incomparable. I can not imagine ever leaving this practice. Dr.Bunting and the entire staff have been a blessing tour family.

CoCo, our standard poodle has been taken care of by the great folks at Centralia Animal Hospital since she was a pup and she is very comfortable there, which is indicated by how readily she enters the facilities with her tail up, ready to be greeted. The hospital is very clean with no overly doggy smell. The waiting room is roomy, which is important so animals don't crowd each other and cause trouble. Centralia offers a multitude of services: shots, dental care, spaying/nutering, motion sickness, etc. The staff, from the desk clerks to the doctors are the best, friendly, informative, knowledgeable. Our service has been excellent, from initial shots, to boosters, to spaying. An enjoyable journey for both CoCo and myself, and I would not want to take it with anybody else. Thanks good folks at Centralia.

This clinic cares for my 7 cats and 2 dogs. I have been to numerous veterinary hospitals in the Richmond, VA metro area. Centralia Animal Hospital is, by far, the best. The vets are knowledgeable, personable, and honest. Unlike *some* clinics in the area, they do NOT perform unnecessary services and/or jack up their prices. They simply do what is best for the animal, and regularly discount their services when multiple visits are involved. The receptionists are friendly; and, they do everything in their power to work my animals in when it counts. Dr. Bunting is the most compassionate vet I have ever dealt with. She and her entire staff make this clinic the best choice for my pets.

I would never consider taking my pets anywhere but to Dr. Bunting and her Staff. She's been treating my pets for over 12 years, and I'll continue to take my pets to her as long as we live within a day's ride. :) I honestly feel that the regular care provided by Dr. Bunting and her Staff is responsible for my cat living a happy 19 1/2 years. Decisions are always made *with* you, and great effort is made to be sure that you are well-informed of all options for your pet's treatment. They never ""push"" expensive procedures or try to talk you into something that your pet doesn't really need: It's all about what's best for your pet AND you. If you love your pets, you'll be really happy that you chose this facility and Staff for their long-term care.

I agree with all the great comments prior to mine. We were new to the area a year ago and Centralia Animal Hospital was highly recommended to us. They have taken care of many of Buddy and Gidget's ailments with success and we could not be more pleased. I want to add one more thing that I will never forget, when I came to pick Buddy up after surgery one evening, the Veterinarian himself carried Buddy to the car. Thank all of the staff for being so wonderful to us!

Dr. Bunting and her staff took excellent care of my Max (4 month old chihuahua) the other day... I called them because he was vomiting and not being himself. They didn't have appointment available until the afternoon, but asked me to bring him up there so that could keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't get dehydrated. They kept him all day for me, while I worked. When they called me to pick him up, I was actually expecting an astronomical bill, It wasn't! It was less than I had even considered, for that I was very grateful! Thank you guys for taking such good care of Max, I'm happy to report he is back to him lil ole self :)

We took all of our pets to Dr Bunting and the centralia crew for years. She used to be great. Customer service now is terrible. It's nothing to wait 30min to over an hour after your appointment time to just get taking back to wait another 30min. Recently our dog was diagnosed with cushions. Dr Buntings prices are astronomical and continuing to increase. Straight up highway robbery. We got a second opinion and was amazed at the difference in prices and also lack of extra tests needed that she wanted us to do. Make sure you get a second opinion and price on anything she says. She's turned into a straight up crook.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Dr Bunting and her staff for taking such good care of my baby Gynger today. She is very sick and this is such a hard thing to go through but I could not have asked for a more compassionate team of people to help me through this day. Cary Street has begun the next steps to hopefully solve the puzzle but please know you all are greatly appreciated. Thanks again and I would recommend this office to anyone. I love this place! My 3 year old dog, Joey, had a terrible skin infection that covered most of his back for about a year and the other vets I visited before Centralia couldn't figure out what was going on so he was misdiagnosed several times and given the wrong treatment. I finally decided to visit Centralia Animal Hospital and Doctor Bunting was absolutely wonderful. She really took her time with Joey and asked tons of questions - I could really tell she cared. The treatment she gave Joey worked perfectly and the infection cleared up in about a week. Dr. Bunting and the staff even called me several times to check up on Joey to see how the treatment was working. Joey looks and feels like a brand new dog! I brought him back for a follow up and Dr. Bunting was so happy to see how much his skin improved. Now we're working on getting him to lose a little weight and the staff still calls to check on him every now and then. Everyone there is so passionate and caring. I'm so grateful for Centralia Animal Hospital and I will never take Joey anywhere else.

From the very first visit which happened because of an emergency after we moved to the area, Dr. Dyer and the staff were awesome. Unfortunately, after hours on a Saturday, my dog had a complication and we went to an ER vet who proceeded to kill my precious dog. Dr. Dyer was notified by the vet and contacted me by phone ASAP on Monday with his apologies and to find out what happened. The staff sent a sympathy card and everyone said how sweet my dog was. I have seen Dr. Dyer and Dr. Gaffney since this happened in 2011 and have never been less than completely satisfied with their care. I do not believe in over vaccinating and they have been fine with my decisions and have not insisted on running titers or pushing me to vaccinate a 10 and 5 year old dog. Any time you bring an animal in sick, they always call to check and see how they are progressing. I definitely recommend Centralia Animal Hospital to any pet owner in the area for their individualized care.

We have been patients with Dr. Bunting for 23 years. We have lived in a lot of places over our 50 years as a married couple, with a number of dogs. In all of those places we never found the kind animal care that we found with Dr. Bunting and her staff. She and the staff have treated our pets (and us) with the kind of care that is incomparable. I can not imagine ever leaving this practice. Dr.Bunting and the entire staff have been a blessing tour family.

CoCo, our standard poodle has been taken care of by the great folks at Centralia Animal Hospital since she was a pup and she is very comfortable there, which is indicated by how readily she enters the facilities with her tail up, ready to be greeted. The hospital is very clean with no overly doggy smell. The waiting room is roomy, which is important so animals don't crowd each other and cause trouble. Centralia offers a multitude of services: shots, dental care, spaying/nutering, motion sickness, etc. The staff, from the desk clerks to the doctors are the best, friendly, informative, knowledgeable. Our service has been excellent, from initial shots, to boosters, to spaying. An enjoyable journey for both CoCo and myself, and I would not want to take it with anybody else. Thanks good folks at Centralia.

This clinic cares for my 7 cats and 2 dogs. I have been to numerous veterinary hospitals in the Richmond, VA metro area. Centralia Animal Hospital is, by far, the best. The vets are knowledgeable, personable, and honest. Unlike *some* clinics in the area, they do NOT perform unnecessary services and/or jack up their prices. They simply do what is best for the animal, and regularly discount their services when multiple visits are involved. The receptionists are friendly; and, they do everything in their power to work my animals in when it counts. Dr. Bunting is the most compassionate vet I have ever dealt with. She and her entire staff make this clinic the best choice for my pets.

I would never consider taking my pets anywhere but to Dr. Bunting and her Staff. She's been treating my pets for over 12 years, and I'll continue to take my pets to her as long as we live within a day's ride. :) I honestly feel that the regular care provided by Dr. Bunting and her Staff is responsible for my cat living a happy 19 1/2 years. Decisions are always made *with* you, and great effort is made to be sure that you are well-informed of all options for your pet's treatment. They never ""push"" expensive procedures or try to talk you into something that your pet doesn't really need: It's all about what's best for your pet AND you. If you love your pets, you'll be really happy that you chose this facility and Staff for their long-term care.
