I love the groomer however I will not be coming back. I felt like the receptionist wasn't truthful with me. When I brought my dog in this morning for an appointment, I was turned away and told the appointment was canceled. I never received a message of that cancellation. Read Less

Although the vet is nice the front desk person is unpleasant. She rarely speaks and seems to be angry. When I first started there the front desk person was very nice. It saddens me because I am going to have to find another vet for my baby. He deserves to be near nice people Read Less

I took my Aussiedoodle puppy in to be groomed. None of the staff spoke to the dog or did anything to make him feel comfortable. I called a few hours later to check on him, but was told he wasn't ready. They did not mention any problems at that time. When I returned to get him, I was handed a note from the groomer stating that my dog was aggressive and would have to be sedated if he was groomed there again, and the cost would be almost $200. The note was very rude in tone and questioned my ability to handle and train the dog. I sent a letter with a copy of the note to the veterinarian, but he did not respond. Read Less

I wish I had read Lisa's review before taking my dog to this groomer today.  My experience was similar, with insistence that a sedative be used next time (there will be no next time!).  Beth didn't have the courtesy to call me and discuss the problems she had.  She left me a note with the receptionist, criticizing my dog's behavior and my decision not to have him neutered. We used this office in the past. The office staff were friendly. The vet was not talkative or informative, but he wasnt unfriendly either. We took our dog to have his nails trimmed because after a bad experience as a puppy he wouldnt allow us to trim them. The assistants were informed by my huaband and i of what to expect when the attempt was made to trim his nails. Instead of listening to us they put our dog in a headlock while he was wearing a leather spikes collar and began to trim his nails. Our dog bucked back and the collar scratched the assistants face. Afte that they refused to trim his nails. I cant say i blame them for giving up since it didn't go well but we expected a bit more professionalism from the assitants. Had they taken our advice seriously, they wouldn't have gone about it the way they did. And you woild think they would have removed the spike collar or asked for us to if they were going to place him in a headlock to trim his nails. This was just a bad experience for us and another traumatic nail experience for our dog. Read Less

I have had this vet off and on for 14 yrs. Dr. Rohlk is a kind and gentle soul. A dog whisperer for certain. I believe people mistake his demeanor. He is quiet and I can clearly see he connects more with the animals than the owners. However, your concerns are important to him. Years ago my schnauzer had an allergic reaction to her anesthesia and he was as concerned for her as I was. The staff is friendly, warm and professional. I have no complaints, nor have I ever had an issue. The groomer is the BEST!!! She use to groom my cocker-poo to look like my standard schnauzer at my request and did the most awesome job. To this day my little boy thinks he is 20 lbs heavier and fierce!! Read Less

Bad experience - Will not go back!! I brought my dog in to be groomed and wanted to try a new place. I got a call a short time later from the groomer Beth saying she could not do his hair because he would not cooperate and kept trying to jump off the table and that he was aggressive towards her. Well...maybe he was afraid? She wanted to reschedule him for another day and sedate him. What?? He has been getting haircuts for 4 years and now he has to get it done with sedation? When I called the groomer to find out how much it would be to bring him back she said 53.00. Now meanwhile I already paid 25.00 dollars for his bath and that was not even with a blow dry. She did manage to get that much done. So I am going to pay almost 80.00 for a haircut? Oh did I mention the sedation is 50.00? I had left him there for the day and when I took him outside to leave it was apparent that he was not let out to go to the bathroom all day.  The worst part of it is the groomer got a nasty attitude with me when I was asking her questions. I took my dog to 4theloveofpets on Chester Road. They did a great job and he was done in 3 hours with no problems and NO sedation!!I highly recommend them. Lisa Read Less

(((((My dog is dead they said it was allergies ))))). I took my dog in on Friday because his belly was swollen and not eating and he was hacking like he was going to throw up he looked to be in a little pain and was having spells where he seemed to have no energy and couldn't move with out breathing hard ! The Dr looked him over for 2 mins gave him allergy meds and a anti biotic 3 days of taking the meds and he didn't get any better then died in my arms after 7 years and all he has ever had was an ear infection ! Maybe he was having a bad day or didn't have time to fully check out my dog but he still charged me $230. For the visit and now my little boy is dead and I doubt allergies caused his death !! So I wouldn't suggest going there there is another one down the Rd ........... Read Less
