We used Dr Young (and we are no relation to her) this past February to put down our 13 year old dog who was full of tumors. She and her husband came to our home about 20 minutes before our appointment. They were so kind and understanding knowing what they were there to do. They explained everything thoroughly and helped us understand each step what was going to happen and how Gracie would feel. They did not rush us or the procedure they let us grieve and take our time saying goodbye. They even took the time to comfort my 10 year old who was sobbing uncontrollably. I have never had to put an animal of mine down this was the first time but I was so pleased with their service and it was so nice being able to do it in the comfort of our own home instead of a cold hospital room. I love having Dr. Young and her team as my veterinarians. It is wonderful to have them able to come to the house and care for my two, crazy dogs. I have been using Cedar Run for 3 years now. I first called them after another local vet would not return my calls on a follow up appointment after an emergency call(called daily for 2 weeks and they never called, luckily Dr. Young with Cedar Run was able to come save the day!) Since that call they have made every effort to make sure my animals have not only gotten what they need, on time, but they have treated them all (from cats, dogs, chickens, goats, calves and horses!) with love and respect! I have been very pleased with pricing, they have been cheaper than any vet I have used in the past, locally and out of state! To explain how they treat my animals, I deal with a lot of rescues(horses and dogs) and they are so patient and kind to them and go at the animals pace! I have not had another vet do this, others have just went straight to sedation to calm them, NOT Cedar Run! They work with us! Love this vet clinic!!! Also, it isn't everyday that your vet cries with you when you lose a pet, Dr. Young is so loving that the 2 times she has had to put pets to sleep for us she has cried along side us! Cedar Run Vet is awesome. They are very caring and patient. One trip to our farm, and they saw the horse , dog and cats .. all with one visit . I have had animals always and have never seen such thorough examination and comprehensive information . They were efficient and very kind to all , especially nervous and grouchy individuals . Products are electronically prescribed, and I can order as needed and they will be delivered directly to my home . Very simple . Also, I like having one " family " doctor that knows all my animals, and I have the same vet each time. And.. the family doc(s) make house calls. Doesn't get any better than that.Read Less

I've used several veterinarian services in the area and they all have their pros and cons. The pricing is very competitive and they come to you. I have 6 large dogs and a breeding business. Cedar run today took care of my dog pack with a few various ailments. The service was excellent and thorough. Any extra fee was worth not having to pile my dogs to go to a strange place where sick dogs go, or spread them out over a series of visits to the vet. I got all my dogs cared for on site. Dr. Young started seeing my horses in 2007 and then my dogs in 2008. She is one of the best (if not the best) vets in this area - I have been to all of the major veterinary clinics in the area and none compare to Dr. Young.
