This place right here is absolutely the best hands down!! I mean from the atmosphere to the staff and right down to the veterinarian care is just amazing!! I have never been to an establishment that makes you feel right at home from the very beginning! My husband and I arrived at 9am once they opened and although the vet had other appointments they were more than happy to see our golden retriever Kaiden. He had been attacked by 2 pit bulls and was in need of serious attention as his leg was badly infected. Amberly and Ajah were so welcoming and so caring to our Kaiden and us as well!! These 2 wonderful ladies made this visit everything I could have hoped for and we will definitely be back! I wholeheartedly recommend vetXpress to everyone because they are professional, caring, informative, and most importantly they treat you like family! Thank you to the whole Team for being there!!

Absolutely nothing about this place since new management took over is recommended. My pup was recently seen for what we thought was a UTI and after labs we found he's diabetic. We were counseled in the office on administration of insulin and ordered the insulin standing in the office that day. It was a week before the approval was submitted so the medication could be shipped. Once we recieved the medication, we called to receive dosing instructions. After no call back, I called again and spoke with the doctor. While speaking with the doctor and trying to get the correct dosage, the doctor became very agitated and ultimately hung up on me. I had to call the Short Pump office to obtain the information. Due to the above issues I have decided to take my pup elsewhere. I called to get a copy of his records and was very specific for vaccine records as well as all office notes. I recieved office notes with labs but no vaccine record nor office note confirming diagnosis of diabeties or treatment plan. I called today and spoke with the doctor who would have his assistant send to me yet asked for no phone number, fax number nor email and only had my pups first name. So, I called Short Pump and was promised the records by the end of the day and you guessed it , nothing recieved. So I currently have a pup, on insulin, still experiencing the same issues and this doctor and company could care less! I have an appointment with a new vet (which is why I wanted the records) but I'm sure now my pup will have to endure the testing again as well as I will have to pay for it all AGAIN...No way in hell would I ever recommend this place to anyone!!

When we first took our retired service dog here the vet who was performing a procedure on a ear hematoma did an awesome job. There was a long wait coming in as if no one was there to greet you. We looked passed it and everything was explained clearly to understand the charges and what’s happening.
Our dog ended up with another hematoma a couple of months later and we took her back. This new foreign vet didkt perform the same procedure and charges us over $150.00 to empty her ear and give some medicine. Didn’t explain exactly what they were doing and 2 days later her ear was filled Again. When we called back to see why and what can be done; we get a there’s nothing else I can do. You would have to bring her in again and do the same thing.
They don’t really care about any animal. When you call the phone just rings and rings. There suposed to be Quick and it takes a long time here for your pets to be looked at. Their prices may be cheaper but they aren’t efficient. 2 weeks later I have to take her back to her original vet and drive longer but get better service. Check the pictures of the ear after their procedure. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!

This clinic has been sold and the new staff does not appear to care about the customer. I was checking in the phone rang and instead of picking it up the worker lets it ring. I told her its fine if you want to answer that she said it doesn't matter they can just leave a message.
Well since then I have tried to call them for 3 days and each time the mail box is full. So much for leaving a message. The vet was ok but seemed a little afraid of my dog. I would no longer recommend them and will be looking for a new vet.

This place has been great until recently. There's a new doctor that looks like he's of Indian ethnicity. He is working with an expired DEA license which prevents him from prescribing control substances. My dog takes seizure medication which is a control substance. He basically told me, "oh we can put him on a different medication that has less side effects". This medication was not a control substance but did lump my dog's head and caused him to have a swollen face. We told him we need him back on his regular medication. I've been getting the run around all week. They told me, "Oh we sent Walgreens the script order". Called Walgreens and they told me they got nothing. They confirmed that they never got a call from Vet Express. So be careful if you choose them for care.

They take your “family” pets to the back to do shots and nail trimming. During this time all you hear is crying pets!! It’s so sad and extremely unwelcoming. I handed the staff the vet records from my previous vet and they were extremely lost as to what was needed upon arrival. When handing me back my vet files they also gave me files that belonged to another customer!! They were very unorganized. I will not be going back.

He even peed on himself because he couldn’t get up. He cried for hours. I immediately took him back to the vet who asked me questions like “did you drop him?” “Did he play rough?” They basically insinuated that I hurt him and that’s why he was swollen. I’m 99% sure they dropped him, he fell off the table, or they were too rough giving him his shots. I could hear him screaming from 5 rooms away when he was getting his shots and fecal samples. THEN they tried to charge me to see the vet for a follow up on his swelling...!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING. They neglect your animals needs and only care about making money.

The people here are wonderful! We are new to the area and had previously gone to another vet in the area that I was not impressed with at all. My puppy also showed very clear feelings of dislike and unease towards the vet there. Decided to go to Vetxpress for some after care for my pup and I will never go anywhere else as long as we live here!! They were very clear in their communications about medications, care, prices etc. and made sure the prices were something I was comfortable with. Doctor Ereio spent time with me going over certain products I had questions and concerns about. The tech who came in before him was also very thorough and very helpful and willing to answer my questions. I did not leave with any of my questions unanswered and I never felt rushed or like an inconvenience. And my pup loved everyone there! Everyone we encountered was very warm and welcoming and seemed truly happy to be there. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

I want to thank the staff of the Colonial Heights vetXpress for fitting us in on January 3, 2017 when we showed up with our Golden Retriever to be put down. Our dear Dee Dee was 13 years and 8 months old. She had a Grand mal seizure that morning and had not been able to walk even a couple of hours later. She began having severe difficulty breathing and we just couldn't see her suffer. We knew it was time. I called when the staff was at lunch and left a message that we would be coming. They returned my call and told me they could fit her in at 4 p.m. as they had a full schedule. I told the lady who called that we were already on our way. When we arrived, a staff member helped us to get Dee Dee out of the car and carried her to an exam room. Dr. Ereio, and the rest of the staff was very kind, as they were in 2015 when we brought our elderly Labrador for an emergency. That day, in 2015, was the first time we went to vetXpress as our regular veterinarian couldn't fit us in. VetXpress is the only place we take our pets since then. I highly recommend them to all of my friends!

My English bulldog was seen at the Fort Lee Vet Clinic and was diagnosed with an ulcer, however they said I needed to make a separate appointment for them to address it. I called Vet Xpress and they got me in as a walk in within 2 hours the very same day. The receptionists were all very friendly, so understanding and helpful. chose this vet location after moving to the area, at initial visit I was bringing my very large dog and also my 3 month old baby alone, as my husband had to work.The staff was thoughtful and courteous enough to let me check out from our room instead of the waiting room and also two staff members volunteered to walk my dog to the car for me and even helped get him in the back of my SUV! The tech and the doctor were both very nice and caring throughout the entire visit. Couldn't have asked for more.

I have taken both my cats to vetXpress multiple times. Dr. Ereio and his staff are awesome. They all love animals and make you feel at home. I am traveling across the country with my cats, and they have been very helpful with finding the right medication and giving me advice to help keep them from experiencing anxiety. Their prices are reasonable, too. If I weren't moving, vetXpress would be my lifelong veterinary clinic.

They are very near my mother's house and I am always in the area. The staff is beyond wonderful. The doctors are great and everyone there definitely love their patients. I live about 30 minutes away but they are worth the drive. If you want your little angels given the best care, go here. They deserve the wonderful service vetXpress gives.

They were great! The staff treated me like I was a good friend and they treated Ryker (my Husky puppy) the same! I called them 3 times in one day asking questions that I'm sure were very obvious, but they were so nice and never made me feel like I was bugging them. Their monthy payment plan is definitely worth it because I have had to get some unexpected things for Ryker and I have saved a lot of money already. I will be a customer as long as I have animals!!

When she was going through some big health issues, Dr E looked through all the emergency vet files and gave me some opinions that helped me make some big decisions. First I would like to say Dr. Ereio's office staff is barnone th best i've ever seen in any vet office i've been to ever and as for the man himself he's just over the top caring and loving to all the animals that come through his doors and he's a wonderfull doctor.. I wish i was a animal i'd go see him..lol. If he was a people doctor he'd be who i'd want.. We have a cat that we recused from our backyard almost a year ago and now the once tiny sickly kitten is almost a yr old and fat and healthy and that's in part thanks to the wonderful care and attention Dr. Ereio's staff and the man himself gave to our little happy bunde of spoiled kitty. what's even better about this amazing vet is the care you get when you walk the door you know your in good hands they have a wonderfuly clean office you don't know your in a vet's office their's no smell and the best part is they all give your pet love and hugs and all the kisses they can handle. I highly recomond them to anyone looking for a place that you want to know your furry family member is well cared for.. so don't walk RUN to VET EXPRESS you wont be sorry you did.. :)

I've had lots of pets and seen lots of vets. Dr. Ereio and his staff are the best! He seemed very knowledgeable and upfront about cost and treatment. I didn't have to wait long at either appointment. It was super affordable which is great for someone like me with multiple pets who need frequent vet care. The price was great but I was more impressed to find a vet who actually listened to me and helped me find a viable solution instead of making me feel horrible for not consenting to very expensive treatments. The staff all seemed to genuinely love my dog. And she loved them too which is a big deal since she hated our previous clinic. I'll never dread going to the vet again.

Dr. "E" and his staff are WONDERFUL! I recently brought in a stray cat to their vet as a first time customer. They were friendly and very knowledgeable but most if all they took excellent care of my sick kitty! While things didn't look promising for this little kitty, they stayed positive and confident in their recommendations to treat her. They discussed options and gave me the info I needed to go forward in her care! It's been 2 weeks now and this little kitty is still fighting and things look promising. The staff follwed up with me to check on her status after every visit. It is obvious through their concern and interactions with the animals that they care. They accept appointments as well as walk ins, which is great for those emergenc, last minute appointments. They are also open until 6pm on Saturday! I highly recommend this vet!

I have been to a LOT of vets due to frequent moves. I've been doing animal rescue and have been boarding and pet sitting for a long time. There are a lot of vets out there that I refuse to go back to after the first visit. That is definitely not the case with VetXpress. They are, in a word, awesome. They are upfront and honest with you, and you never go away with a bigger bill than you were expecting. The love they exhibit for both animals and people is amazing. I felt comfortable with them from the moment Julie answered the phone. Things that they did for me that I felt were extraordinary they viewed as just doing their job. I felt they understood my situation with compassion and no judgements. I have driven over an hour to visit a good vet, and if Dr. E and his staff are ever far away from me, I will not hesitate to travel to them. Yes, they are that good.

This place right here is absolutely the best hands down!! I mean from the atmosphere to the staff and right down to the veterinarian care is just amazing!! I have never been to an establishment that makes you feel right at home from the very beginning! My husband and I arrived at 9am once they opened and although the vet had other appointments they were more than happy to see our golden retriever Kaiden. He had been attacked by 2 pit bulls and was in need of serious attention as his leg was badly infected. Amberly and Ajah were so welcoming and so caring to our Kaiden and us as well!! These 2 wonderful ladies made this visit everything I could have hoped for and we will definitely be back! I wholeheartedly recommend vetXpress to everyone because they are professional, caring, informative, and most importantly they treat you like family! Thank you to the whole Team for being there!!

Absolutely nothing about this place since new management took over is recommended. My pup was recently seen for what we thought was a UTI and after labs we found he's diabetic. We were counseled in the office on administration of insulin and ordered the insulin standing in the office that day. It was a week before the approval was submitted so the medication could be shipped. Once we recieved the medication, we called to receive dosing instructions. After no call back, I called again and spoke with the doctor. While speaking with the doctor and trying to get the correct dosage, the doctor became very agitated and ultimately hung up on me. I had to call the Short Pump office to obtain the information. Due to the above issues I have decided to take my pup elsewhere. I called to get a copy of his records and was very specific for vaccine records as well as all office notes. I recieved office notes with labs but no vaccine record nor office note confirming diagnosis of diabeties or treatment plan. I called today and spoke with the doctor who would have his assistant send to me yet asked for no phone number, fax number nor email and only had my pups first name. So, I called Short Pump and was promised the records by the end of the day and you guessed it , nothing recieved. So I currently have a pup, on insulin, still experiencing the same issues and this doctor and company could care less! I have an appointment with a new vet (which is why I wanted the records) but I'm sure now my pup will have to endure the testing again as well as I will have to pay for it all AGAIN...No way in hell would I ever recommend this place to anyone!!

When we first took our retired service dog here the vet who was performing a procedure on a ear hematoma did an awesome job. There was a long wait coming in as if no one was there to greet you. We looked passed it and everything was explained clearly to understand the charges and what’s happening.
Our dog ended up with another hematoma a couple of months later and we took her back. This new foreign vet didkt perform the same procedure and charges us over $150.00 to empty her ear and give some medicine. Didn’t explain exactly what they were doing and 2 days later her ear was filled Again. When we called back to see why and what can be done; we get a there’s nothing else I can do. You would have to bring her in again and do the same thing.
They don’t really care about any animal. When you call the phone just rings and rings. There suposed to be Quick and it takes a long time here for your pets to be looked at. Their prices may be cheaper but they aren’t efficient. 2 weeks later I have to take her back to her original vet and drive longer but get better service. Check the pictures of the ear after their procedure. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!

This clinic has been sold and the new staff does not appear to care about the customer. I was checking in the phone rang and instead of picking it up the worker lets it ring. I told her its fine if you want to answer that she said it doesn't matter they can just leave a message.
Well since then I have tried to call them for 3 days and each time the mail box is full. So much for leaving a message. The vet was ok but seemed a little afraid of my dog. I would no longer recommend them and will be looking for a new vet.

This place has been great until recently. There's a new doctor that looks like he's of Indian ethnicity. He is working with an expired DEA license which prevents him from prescribing control substances. My dog takes seizure medication which is a control substance. He basically told me, "oh we can put him on a different medication that has less side effects". This medication was not a control substance but did lump my dog's head and caused him to have a swollen face. We told him we need him back on his regular medication. I've been getting the run around all week. They told me, "Oh we sent Walgreens the script order". Called Walgreens and they told me they got nothing. They confirmed that they never got a call from Vet Express. So be careful if you choose them for care.

Not happy with the vetXpress in Colonial Heights. I’d give less stars if I could as well. The front staff are not very welcoming. They take your “family” pets to the back to do shots and nail trimming. During this time all you hear is crying pets!! It’s so sad and extremely unwelcoming. I handed the staff the vet records from my previous vet and they were extremely lost as to what was needed upon arrival. When handing me back my vet files they also gave me files that belonged to another customer!! They were very unorganized. I will not be going back.

I took my puppy here for shots. After we got home and took he took a nap he woke up and his entire left side of his body was so swollen that he couldn’t walk, move, or do anything. He even peed on himself because he couldn’t get up. He cried for hours. I immediately took him back to the vet who asked me questions like “did you drop him?” “Did he play rough?” They basically insinuated that I hurt him and that’s why he was swollen. I’m 99% sure they dropped him, he fell off the table, or they were too rough giving him his shots. I could hear him screaming from 5 rooms away when he was getting his shots and fecal samples. THEN they tried to charge me to see the vet for a follow up on his swelling...!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING. They neglect your animals needs and only care about making money.

The people here are wonderful! We are new to the area and had previously gone to another vet in the area that I was not impressed with at all. My puppy also showed very clear feelings of dislike and unease towards the vet there. Decided to go to Vetxpress for some after care for my pup and I will never go anywhere else as long as we live here!! They were very clear in their communications about medications, care, prices etc. and made sure the prices were something I was comfortable with. Doctor Ereio spent time with me going over certain products I had questions and concerns about. The tech who came in before him was also very thorough and very helpful and willing to answer my questions. I did not leave with any of my questions unanswered and I never felt rushed or like an inconvenience. And my pup loved everyone there! Everyone we encountered was very warm and welcoming and seemed truly happy to be there. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

Dr. Ereio is friendly. I find VetXpress convenient and in a great location. I have experienced issues such as being given wrong items and odd communications with some staff.

I want to thank the staff of the Colonial Heights vetXpress for fitting us in on January 3, 2017 when we showed up with our Golden Retriever to be put down. Our dear Dee Dee was 13 years and 8 months old. She had a Grand mal seizure that morning and had not been able to walk even a couple of hours later. She began having severe difficulty breathing and we just couldn't see her suffer. We knew it was time. I called when the staff was at lunch and left a message that we would be coming. They returned my call and told me they could fit her in at 4 p.m. as they had a full schedule. I told the lady who called that we were already on our way. When we arrived, a staff member helped us to get Dee Dee out of the car and carried her to an exam room. Dr. Ereio, and the rest of the staff was very kind, as they were in 2015 when we brought our elderly Labrador for an emergency. That day, in 2015, was the first time we went to vetXpress as our regular veterinarian couldn't fit us in. VetXpress is the only place we take our pets since then. I highly recommend them to all of my friends!

I've been to a lot of vets over the years and this is hands down the best place ever!! The staff are always so friendly and truly do care about your pets. I've never had a bad experience with any of them! Dr. Ereio and Caryn are the ones I've dealt with the most and I just adore them! Thank you so very much to the Colonial Heights Vet Xpress! My English bulldog was seen at the Fort Lee Vet Clinic and was diagnosed with an ulcer, however they said I needed to make a separate appointment for them to address it. I called Vet Xpress and they got me in as a walk in within 2 hours the very same day. The receptionists were all very friendly, so understanding and helpful. Thank you so very much to Stacy and Dr. Ereio for all of their help with Roxy!

chose this vet location after moving to the area, at initial visit I was bringing my very large dog and also my 3 month old baby alone, as my husband had to work.The staff was thoughtful and courteous enough to let me check out from our room instead of the waiting room and also two staff members volunteered to walk my dog to the car for me and even helped get him in the back of my SUV! The tech and the doctor were both very nice and caring throughout the entire visit. Couldn't have asked for more.

I have taken both my cats to vetXpress multiple times. Dr. Ereio and his staff are awesome. They all love animals and make you feel at home. I am traveling across the country with my cats, and they have been very helpful with finding the right medication and giving me advice to help keep them from experiencing anxiety. Their prices are reasonable, too. If I weren't moving, vetXpress would be my lifelong veterinary clinic.

This is where to take your loved ones. My dog Jamie is very special to me and he has special needs due to his age. He deserves and will only get the best care. That's why I take him to vetXpress. They are very near my mother's house and I am always in the area. The staff is beyond wonderful. The doctors are great and everyone there definitely love their patients. I live about 30 minutes away but they are worth the drive. If you want your little angels given the best care, go here. They deserve the wonderful service vetXpress gives.

They were great! The staff treated me like I was a good friend and they treated Ryker (my Husky puppy) the same! I called them 3 times in one day asking questions that I'm sure were very obvious, but they were so nice and never made me feel like I was bugging them. Their monthy payment plan is definitely worth it because I have had to get some unexpected things for Ryker and I have saved a lot of money already. I will be a customer as long as I have animals!!

Dr E (or Dr O as I have mistakenly called him) has seen my dog for some 14 yrs and helped her through addison's. When she was going through some big health issues, Dr E looked through all the emergency vet files and gave me some opinions that helped me make some big decisions. Bella is doing great now and I would strongly recommend Dr E to anyone.

First I would like to say Dr. Ereio's office staff is barnone th best i've ever seen in any vet office i've been to ever and as for the man himself he's just over the top caring and loving to all the animals that come through his doors and he's a wonderfull doctor.. I wish i was a animal i'd go see him..lol. If he was a people doctor he'd be who i'd want.. We have a cat that we recused from our backyard almost a year ago and now the once tiny sickly kitten is almost a yr old and fat and healthy and that's in part thanks to the wonderful care and attention Dr. Ereio's staff and the man himself gave to our little happy bunde of spoiled kitty. what's even better about this amazing vet is the care you get when you walk the door you know your in good hands they have a wonderfuly clean office you don't know your in a vet's office their's no smell and the best part is they all give your pet love and hugs and all the kisses they can handle. I highly recomond them to anyone looking for a place that you want to know your furry family member is well cared for.. so don't walk RUN to VET EXPRESS you wont be sorry you did.. :)

I've had lots of pets and seen lots of vets. Dr. Ereio and his staff are the best! He seemed very knowledgeable and upfront about cost and treatment. I didn't have to wait long at either appointment. It was super affordable which is great for someone like me with multiple pets who need frequent vet care. The price was great but I was more impressed to find a vet who actually listened to me and helped me find a viable solution instead of making me feel horrible for not consenting to very expensive treatments. The staff all seemed to genuinely love my dog. And she loved them too which is a big deal since she hated our previous clinic. I'll never dread going to the vet again.

Dr. "E" and his staff are WONDERFUL! I recently brought in a stray cat to their vet as a first time customer. They were friendly and very knowledgeable but most if all they took excellent care of my sick kitty! While things didn't look promising for this little kitty, they stayed positive and confident in their recommendations to treat her. They discussed options and gave me the info I needed to go forward in her care! It's been 2 weeks now and this little kitty is still fighting and things look promising. The staff follwed up with me to check on her status after every visit. It is obvious through their concern and interactions with the animals that they care. They accept appointments as well as walk ins, which is great for those emergenc, last minute appointments. They are also open until 6pm on Saturday! I highly recommend this vet!

I have been to a LOT of vets due to frequent moves. I've been doing animal rescue and have been boarding and pet sitting for a long time. There are a lot of vets out there that I refuse to go back to after the first visit. That is definitely not the case with VetXpress. They are, in a word, awesome. They are upfront and honest with you, and you never go away with a bigger bill than you were expecting. The love they exhibit for both animals and people is amazing. I felt comfortable with them from the moment Julie answered the phone. Things that they did for me that I felt were extraordinary they viewed as just doing their job. I felt they understood my situation with compassion and no judgements. I have driven over an hour to visit a good vet, and if Dr. E and his staff are ever far away from me, I will not hesitate to travel to them. Yes, they are that good.

Dr. Ereio and his tech (Caryn) are totally awesome. Excellent quality care w/very personalized service. I've had many vets over the years, and Dr. Ereio is, by far, the best. Colonial Heights might be a little out of the way, but definitely worth the visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. Thank you!!!!
