First time client-- when I called the staff was very friendly, and got me an appointment quickly, which is great. Sent two cats to get treated for URI. Had to pay $50 EACH to be seen and 'evaluated', even though they were previously diagnosed AND in the same appointment which took less than 20 minutes. Paid over $250 for each cat to get one shot each to clear up the URI. When I received the estimate they had also added in worming for each, even though I never asked for it, and my cats had already been wormed previously. If I hadn't caught the extraneous worming charge, it would be $56 more. Read Less

I would like to say thank you to the staff for seeing my Gizzy today. He wasn't feeling well so they had me to bring him in to be a work in. They told me to have him there at 12. They gave him fluids, antibiotics, done his bloodwork, examined him and cleaned his anal gland and I was checking out at 12:53. That was the quickest service ever. I would also like to say thank you to all of the staff, from the girls at the front desk to the Dr. They were all very, very nice and courteous. Love Dr. Ryan & all the staff.  They always take the time to answer all of my questions even when they are busy.  On February 14 we had to make the decision about our dog.  Leading up to that decision, dr Ryan took the time to talk with us about options & let us make the final decision when we were ready.  All of the staff were very compassionate & respectful of our privacy.  We wouldn't trust our fur babies to anyone else. Very good staff and vet.I take all my pets to Riverside veterinary clinic.and they can perform a DNA test for your pets blood line purity before you spend a lot of your hard earned money on a pet you might not want to pay for after the DNA test.all pets deserve a good home but if that's what your looking for they will be more than happy to help you with all you pets needs. Once I would have giving this place a better review, but after what i went through back in December i cant. I brought My 5 year old male cat (who had been on prescription food since age 3 due to crystals), in because of him being in pain, he got an xray and it showed a bladder full of crystals and a stone in the kidneys. Was told She couldnt do anything to handle the stone but she would do surgery to clean out bladder. He was there a full week, was told at one point he chewed and pulled out his catheter (i know no one watches them when they stay overnight, but a E-collar should have prevented that i would think) Well was called to come in day after Christmas, i knew i may have to make that final decision on him, His fever didnt drop much, was told he didnt eat the entire week (that made me upset that i wasnt informed earlier) and was not told not much else. She was real busy and left the room, i sat in there with him holding him, confused, scared, sad, and seeing him full of staples, and never got the "I think its time", " He will get better" or any kind of consultation/talk. She sent in a young guy who i talked with awhile and knowing how much pain my cat would be in when that stone would go through his system i made the call. Later found out that young guy was not a tech or an assistant but the kennel worker. Week later when i came to pick up his body and pay bill, told receptionist im not coming back there anymore and was hurt by how i was treated,(never made a scene and no one else could hear me) She told Dr Ryan who was more concerned that i was mud slinging her reputation and said she thought we were on same page, She never told me anything or answered any questions that day so not sure how that she thought that. Finally when i got his body(receptionist just wanted to bring it out and hand him to me) , his box casket was big enough for a poodle. Never a im sorry for your loss from vet or as yet a sympathy card in the mail. Please no comments, i want this behind me and to get on over my loss. Read Less

I had the pleasure to meet Dr Ryan and her staff while taking animals back and forth for treatments and surgeries from the Bedford County Animal Shelter were I volunteer. The staff is outstanding, always putting the animal well being and comfort first, super friendly. They truly care about animal welfare and their support to help the local homeless animal is just remarkable. I already have a personal vet in Forest where I live, but I know that if anything happens to this practice, my pack will be transferred to Dr Ryan! Dr.Ryan and staff are awesome.Dr.Ryan is a very caring and compassionate person and it shows every time she is examining one of my pets.My Molly was so scared to let anyone touch her to give her a bath and cut her nails...Dr.Ryan goes in and talks and loves on Molly next thing you know Molly is letting them work on her.....I recently had to take one of my cats that had a hurt leg...The staff fit me in right away that evening and Dr.Ryan was able to treat Lucky and kept him overnight for observation.I have been going to Riverside now for 6 years and would never want anyone else to treat my animals but Dr.Ryan.....Thank you Riverside for the care you give not only to my pets but to the animals at the shelter....Your team is amazing and you should be proud of the work that you do and the accomplishments you have made. Our experiences with Dr.Ryan and Riverside vet has been awesome. She is the most compassionate doctor I've ever met and I have known several. She definitely treats every animal as it were her own and spends the time with you to get to know you and trust that she genuinely cares about all animals. I wish i could say i have met 1/4 of people in my life that were a fraction as good hearted and genuine as this doctor is! I will never take any of my animals anywhere else. And anyone that has anything less than amazing to say about her well I'm too religious to speak of how much you should be disgraced. Dr.Ryan is the most amazing veterinarian I've ever met! She takes so much time with each patient and client to make sure everyone is on the same page! She cares about EVERYONES fur babies as if they were her own! Not only is she there during business hours(8:30-6) but working late nights after 9 and sometimes 10 at night just to insure everyone's babies are properly taken care of. I will be going here for as long as I have my fur babies, because I would never trust another vet as much as I do Dr. Ryan!!! Read Less

Dr. Ryan is an amazing veterinarian. I rescued two Labrador puppies in September of 2016, and wasn€t sure what to do since these were my first dogs. I didn€t have a lot of money so I went to Dr. Ryan for help. She offered numerous options which included take home vaccines and a puppy pack which included helpful information and a sample of heartguard and nexguard. She was also running a promotional service for discounted neuters in September and discounted spays in October. Roll over of several front desk staff, many poor changes seen/experienced over the last few years.. Disappointing to say the least. Sara worked the desk in the past and was absolutely wonderful to customers and so loving to pets. They are always pushing the sale of things not needed and are too rushed, not taking the time with you or pay attention to what you are asking. Boarded my ole girl last year and cried when I picked her up she smelled so bad, dirty and smelled strongly of urine. left message asking for dr Ryan to call me, and was told I was harrassing the front desk people.... We took our senior dog to Riverside with an issue another vet could not solve. They were able to diagnose the problem and treat him in a way that we were most pleased. Frisco's quality of life was improved and we feel he was given additional time as part of our family due to the special attention and care given by the Riverside vets and staff.
