I bring two of my Greyhounds there to be treated the girl drop my Greyhound cuz she couldn't put them on the table and I heard him crying from the lobby and I wondered what happened. They did tell me that they dropped him and there was no injuries but you think they would hire people that could lift animals successfully. One of my Greyhounds saw dr. Kellogg for some dental work and that went completely wrong in my eyes. he bleed a day and a half after the surgery my house is a bloody mess they didn't do the stitches correctly and she supposed to be a greyhound specialist. Never again will I take any of my animals there but I'm sure you might have success they didn't have success with my two greyhounds. I moved from California where I had an amazing relationship with my vet.  She and I were on the same page, we had been through a lot and I trusted her more than words can say.  But now I'm in Virginia and step mom to this silly little cat Larry.On Wednesday evening Larry didn't eat dinner.  Thursday morning, I tried to hand feed him, offered him turkey, yogurt, whatever he wanted.  He wouldn't eat.  My boyfriend made an appointment for that morning.  This was my first time going to GFAH.We met with Dr. Cleland who listened to us and then examined Larry.  She told us he had a urinary blockage and needed to be flushed out and stay the night with a catheter in.  We left Larry for the night.  The next day, he was blocked again.  They put a catheter in for the weekend...  my naughty cat pulled it out.  Monday we started working with Dr. Cook.  She put the catheter back in and wanted to leave it in until Thursday.  If this didn't work he would have to have PU surgery.  Larry started to eat again and during last night's visit he was back to his normal playful self.  I suspected he was going to do catheter removal overnight and my suspicions were confirmed via a hilarious voicemail from Dr. Cook this morning.  Thanks to the folks at GFAH Larry is peeing on his own again, eating like a champ and getting into trouble (his norm) again.  I'm beyond grateful for their help.The staff has been super great, as have all of the doctors we've had the pleasure of chatting with during our visits to see Larry.  We've also been talking with Dr. Garrood and Dr. Snellgrove.  I've been completely impressed with all of them.  Super kind and smart women who have been helping us get through this.Thanks for the empathy and the humor, it was hard for us to let someone else take care of our silly boy Larry. On behalf of my family, I wanted to thank Great Falls Animal Hospital on their compassion, kindness and help through the recent loss of our 16 year beautiful husky, Endava. She was a wonderful dog and most of all part of our family. We wanted to extend our appreciation to Dr. Snellgrove, Dr. Cook, and the front desk staff for the loving hand they provided during her many visits over the last 14 years. There are no words to express how grateful I am for help they provided to give Endava a healthy, happy, and long life. We also truly appreciate the comfort they provided to us on the sad day that Endava passed away. They gave us her ashes in a beautiful wooden sculpted box, wrote us a lovely card, and gave us a mold of her actual pawprint. In past year this vet went from fantastic to poor. They have been grooming and caring for our Collie for 6 years beautifully, but he just came back with his mane sheared and his legs and belly shaved sloppily. I cried when I found all the skin burns and nicks. In our previous visit they had asked if we wanted his teeth cleaned without mentioning this was a $1000 surgical procedure. Shame on us for not asking. This visit, 6 months later, they were pushing us to have them cleaned again. Maybe these were both anamolies, but we are not going to take the chance. Read Less

Great doctors. I've been taking my dogs here for many years. The pricing has been good but I've heard rates have risen. Usually this place has been good. Especially compared to other nearby vets like Seneca Hill Animal Hospital. One thing to be aware of is the dude who puts the labels on the medications has screwed up multiple times causing me to give wrong amounts of medication to my dog. I was pissed and let them know. I was told they took care of the issue. Hasn't happened again but I always check what drugs I'm given and compare the labels to what the doctor wrote down. Edit 12/15/16 - they screwed up with the instructions on the medicine bottle again! Luckily I read the bottle and noticed the guy got the antibiotics dosage backwards and called him out on it... so I stand by my review... great doctors but idiots at the front desk.. Read Less

Great Falls Animal Hospital is great. All the staff and Doctors have been taking excellent care of Max for 10 1/2 years. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a great caring vet. We lost Max last August. But we now have a new 1 year dog we just rescued. I took him for his first checkup and would not think of taking him anywhere else. My dogs were seen by a few other vets in the area, but when we tried out Great Falls Animal Hospital, we became loyal patients. We have 2 elder pets, a cat (20 years old) and a dog (13 years old). Great Falls Animal Hospital has taken great care of them for their entire lives. They never do anything unnecessary but always do what is needed. They understand our pet's personalities and work with them. All of the staff is very pleasant and know what they are doing. The people at Great Falls Animal Hospital are the best.  They are always there for me.  When my current Airedale was only a few years old I spilled my blood pressure medicine on the floor.  He quickly ate 3 of them.I called and then headed to Great Falls.  Within 40 minutes his stomach was pumped.  After a call to my pharmacy it was determined that only 3 pills were lost, but all 3 were regurgitated..Even though I hate to have to pay for shots and regular checkups, I do not skip them.  I have checked and Great Falls is a reasonable provider for this area.Love Them!  They saved my dogs life!! I'm very disappointed with the service my therapy pet received there on Saturday this is not my normal vet! My toy chiuhuia was involved in a serious accident that involved another dog I was told that she would never walk again and she would more than likely lose her leg! They only sent her home with pain meds I did tell vet I had a some antibiotics left for her from a absess she had drained about a week earlier! Took her to my vet today and giving her antiinflammatory and guess what she's walking!! The manager at best friends was very rude I was just asking for a refund but now it's gonna cost them more! My dog could have died because of their neglections very disappointed! Don't ever take ur pet there if you need help because they only care about how pretty their building is!!! Read Less

The staff and doctors show love and concern for their animal patients. The doctors take as much time as needed so you understand all your options for treating your pet. They do not push any treatment but make sure you understand the options available. I've been going to Great Falls now over 10 years now and they have helped me get through some very rough times with my pets. I have been going to GFAH since 2002. A great staff, doctors and technicians and front desk. Any emergency, they are always able to get us in. Sharp and thoughtful staff that managed us as crazy, emotional, freaked-out assistance dog owners while giving our Annabelle Lee excellent care. She requires further imaging elsewhere for a true diagnosis, but thanks to these guys who narrowed down the possibilities, we aren't floundering for answers and her pain is medicated in the meantime. The staff is very friendly. The doctors are thorough and knowledgable in all areas of veterinary medicine. When my dog was alive I brought him there for routine surgeries and specialized treatment. I love that they offer holistic/homeopathic medicine as well as traditonal western medicine. They are consistent with patient and client care and receive an A+ from me and my family. Insanely over priced. Great Falls charged us over $700.00 for to have our puppy neutered. We called around to six other local vets all of whom quoted us around $350.00 for the exact same procedure. We found out to late. Don't make the same mistake. Read Less
