I am writing this review in hopes that no one else will ever have to experience what I did at this animal hospital. This was by far the worst vet experience I have ever had in my entire life. Having worked at a vet previously, the way this office is ran is beyond me. I took my 19 year old cat in on a Saturday. I was asked to be there at 10:30am. After waiting in the waiting room for over an hour with my 19 year old cat, I was finally pulled into a room. We were seen by Dr. Collins, who was no where near professional. After observing my cat, taking his temperature, we were diagnosed, had blood drawn for further testing, and sent home with pain meds and a new supplement. So the following Tuesday I called to see what the blood work said. I called at 10am, and was informed by the receptionist that the doctor wanted to see me, with my cat, at 2pm so they could give him fluids because "something is wrong with his kidneys". 4 anxiety ridden hours later I show up 15 minutes early with my cat as instructed. After waiting an hour in the waiting room I asked to be put into a room as more and more dogs were coming in and I could feel my cat beginning to really stress. After being moved into a room we waited ANOTHER hour. Finally, Dr. Collins comes into the room thumbing through records in his hand, he takes my cats record, literally slings it across the room onto the counter, mumbles a bunch of words under his breath, and walks out of the room and leaves me waiting for another 10 minutes. Finally he comes back in, starts thumbing through the record looking for the blood work. After he finds it, it's obvious that he is reading this blood work synopsis for the first time right there in front of me. He is stumbling through his words, bouncing all over the place. I worked at a vet and I can't keep up with what this man is saying. He then looks at me and says "Why did you bring your cat?". I'm sorry what? I informed him I was instructed to, to which he followed up with "Who told you to bring him? And why?" Again, I'm sorry but WHAT? He then informs me that he could have given me these results over the phone, and that they would not be giving my cat fluids that day because it was too late in the day. No kidding...I've only been there for almost 3 hours. He then tells me he is going to go "write me some scripts" and he will be back. He didn't tell me what they were for, what they're names were, what they would do, nothing. At this point I picked up my cat, walked out, and took him to Banfield. I would NEVER take my pet to this hospital. Dr. Collins is unprofessional at best, scatter brained, unclear, did I mention unprofessional? All in all I stressed my 19 year old cat out on what was one of his final days, all because of a lack of communication that was totally avoidable had the front office communicated clearly with the doctor, or vise versa. Save yourself the time and anxiety and take your pet anywhere else. I wish I would have. Read Less
