Took my two cats in today for their annual checkup and was really disappointed. I don’t think we will be returning, even though Clocktower is right around the corner from our home. Definitely NOT the right choice for cat parents. My cats, like most other cats get stressed out very easily. But I must say it was a first for me, at this vet, to feel like an inconvenience to everyone involved. We waited 25 minutes before we were taken back to a room, the entire time both my cats crying and clawing at their carriers. When we finally made it back, we had to answer all the same questions I had already answered in paperwork, yet again with my cats crying and clawing the carriers, obviously upset. 10 more minutes pass and finally it’s time to check their vitals. While I know my cats are a handful, I definitely do not appreciate rude comments about this from anyone who is supposed to be trained to handle them. At this point 10 more minutes in, my cats still have not even seen the vet or gotten their vaccinations. Vet comes in, she’s nice. No issue there really, but more comments on my cats being a handful (which, trust me I know because I have eyes). After the exam and vaccinations most places will at least try to speed up the process so you can get the cats home and unstressed sooner, but not here. Insert trying to sell you on their wellness plans and anesthetic dental work. In the end, my husband just had to leave me and our lessed stressed out cat behind because our other cat was trying to rip through the carrier. Also, we knew it was going to be expensive. We are fine paying for quality (sadly wouldn’t call this that). But we are just really sad that a place that supposedly “cares” for animals would make our experience as stressful and as sad as they did. TLDR; Cat owners stay away. They do not try and speed things up and make the experience less stressful for your cats. You will leave not only with your cats hating you, but you hating yourself for bringing them there. Read Less

Clocktower Animal Hospital is amazing and have been a customer for over ten years. My experience has always excellent. I have had five dogs and had ever service they offer. I have had the pleasure of meeting everyone on staff throughout the years and would recommend them all. I have had puppies to adult dogs. They provide the best medical care in the area which is why I will continue using their services. I have had the routine to emergency services and have always been completely satisfied. They aren’t the cheapest but it’s worth every dollars. You can’t get better medical care. Clocktower also partners with and donates their services to local animal rescue groups. When I got my rescue it was a great feeling to see I have free vouchers for checkups. They have gone way above and beyond for me. Even with the passing of a furry friend I got cards in the mail. They truely care about your pets. Thank you Clocktower Animal Hospital for the many years of great service and what you do for the community. Read Less

Over the years, I've taken four different dogs to Clocktower, and they've all received excellent care from the veterinarians and vet techs there. Drs. Carskaddan, Moore and Vincent have been excellent, helping us through complicated surgeries, end of life care and again with new puppies. The techs are also amazing, they not only remember your dogs names but also how to hold them, what scares them and what treats to give. If I have any complaints it's that they go through front office staff pretty regularly, and so you often see new faces there. Also, they are expensive. I would say they are easily 20% more than other vets in the area. However, I gladly pay it because I think the skill of the vets there is worth it. I know they gave us several more years with one of our dogs. Read Less

I would like to share a story about the amazing doctors and nurses at Clocktower Animal Hospital. On Friday March 23rd I was leaving the office with my dog, Bruno, after his checkup and as I stepped off the curve I somehow tripped, sprained my foot and fell hard on the ground. When I fell, I let go of Bruno's leash and the loud noises caused him to run. A kind woman jumped out of a car to help me and I cried for her to please catch my dog. He's very scared of people so this made him run even harder. He ended up running across the highway into a strip mall parking lot and the more people tried to catch him, the harder he ran. I ran as far as I could on my foot and then flagged someone down to return me to my car so that I could chase him. When I returned to the Clocktower office, literally almost every nurse and doctor in his white coat were out in the parking lot looking distressed and panicked. This sight is something I will never forget. They each looked like their own pet had just ran away. When I got out of the car after running on my foot, I could tell something was seriously wrong and I couldn't walk on it. Scared I broke my foot or ankle, I was hopping to get into my car to go searching. The nurses asked me not to drive and said they would drive me around to look, and they did just that. They drove me to where he was last seen, both got out of the car and searched the apartment complex while I could only stand there on one foot crying and screaming his name. They kept me calm, and did all that they could. I called my husband as this point to come get me and drive me around. I let the nurses know I would stay there and wait for him, and so they went off on their own to search. God bless these women. I felt so helpless. This dog was a rescue from an abused home. He's scared of people and noise. He's just a little Shih Tzu mix fluff ball who just likes to stay in the apartment and be cuddled. I knew he had to be so terrified and I was imagining the worst. If it wasn't for these nurses, I just don't know what I would have done. My husband came and we searched for hours until it got dark, then went back out at 9:30pm and searched until 1:30am. Nothing. When the sun came up my mom and I went out again and handed out pieces of paper with my name and number to anyone we saw walking. Two hours later someone we had talked to called and said they saw my dog in the woods of McNair farms, behind the "old meeting house." We drove out there and sure enough, there he was. He wouldn't come to them as he was scared. But when he saw me he ran to me, covered in mud and exhausted. I can't express the joy that I felt. We drove him straight to Clocktower and when I walked in the door the nurses came and took him from me and rushed him in the back to check him out. I was crying so they took me to a private room where I could wait. They each came in and hugged me and told me how they had searched for him after work on Friday night. Each and every one of them are angels. The doctor came in and told me that Bruno's pads were a little torn up, but otherwise he was fine. They offered to bathe him, but I just wanted to take him home. Not only can I recommend this vet office as a great place to get care for your pets at great prices, but I can confirm this business is run by actual human beings who love and care about all of the pets and people who walk through the door. They understand that pets are like our kids, and as far as I am concerned they're the only ones I will ever trust to care for my Bruno, or any other pet I will ever have. Do yourself and your fur baby a huge favor and make these wonderful human beings a part of yours and your pets life. Thank you from the bottom of mine, my husbands and my mom's heart to the staff of Clocktower Animal hospital. Read Less

My experience with this vet was initially positive, but soured over the years. Had to put my dog down last year, diagnosed after taking her to ANOTHER vet. She had lumps (cancer). Clocktower (Dr. Moore) diagnosed her as just needing appetite and anti-nausea pills. Cost me ~$500 to get that diagnosis too. Now, a year later, I'm getting emails that Clocktower signed me up for "PetDesk" so I can get friendly reminders of my deceased dog's appointments and reminders. This was AFTER I already asked to be removed from their system. I hope Clocktower improves their services and lowers their costs - I've contacted them AGAIN asking to be removed. When we first used Clocktower 4 years ago they were great. Now they lose orders for my cat's special diet, several vet's, such as Moore, are incompetent and cruel. Example: our cat was diagnosed with diabetes. We did everything recommended exactly. However, our kitty just went into horrible failure. Just her genetics, no one at fault. I consulted others and knew she was so ill, she would not recover and made the decision to euthanize her. This Dr. Moore called the night before and lectures me on 'throwing away' my cat, and why not try a different diet. She had not examined my cat. Evidently had not familiarized herself with our file and the proper care always given to our 3 cats. I told her we changed the diet weeks ago, and we were going ahead with our plan. Can you imagine the extra distress this caused? This wonderful cat was in my heart and soul. I changed jobs to earn more money so she could have anything she needed, with no money worrying, or cutting corners. I was so blessed to have that ability. The next day we took her in. Dr. Moore came in with an attitude again and asked us to consider surrendering our baby to A SHELTER! Was she crazy? She would die there in fear and loneliness - how incredibly cruel. I told her off and said get on with it. My husband and I were crying, the cat was distressed more, and this idiot Dr. Says, "you don't understand how stressful this is for me!" I was appalled! Her? That is all she cared about, not the cat's pain, our pain, just herself. A euthanasia should be a calm, compassionate experience as possible, as your heart is broken and will never fully heal. I went medieval on her, told her to quit being so self-involved and do her job or get someone else in now to do it. She finally returned and the process went properly and as best as we could make it for our baby. The Dr said nothing until my kitty was gone, and pronounced her dead. Then instead of letting us leave quickly to grieve, we waited to pay for over 15 minutes. They had forgotten to check the cat in and had to figure out how that happened, fix it, they screwed up the payment and left something out and I had to pay twice, crying the whole time. Then since we were there and already decided never to return I asked to pick up the special hypoallergenic food for my other cat. They forgot to order it 2 weeks ago when I was there and requested it. Do not go there. But I give them 1 star only because they do have 1 good vet on staff, Dr Mazur, but it is hard to get an appointment with a particular vet. When I am grieving less I will request a meeting and vent this, if only to possibly prevent this from happening again to someone else. Read Less

We love this place! We've been with them since spring 2010 (when we got our current dog) and had heard great things about them for years before that. They literally saved our dog's life one January when he got suddenly paralyzed. But it's not just that - before and after that incident, their care has been similarly exemplary. The staff is friendly and on top of things. Appointments almost always run on time unless they're dealing with an emergency. They ask questions. They listen. They are gentle and friendly with the pets who visit. They give you plenty of time at your visits, and you can often get a same-day appointment. They insert microchips and will check your pet's any time you ask them to. After procedures and vaccinations, they call you to ask how your pet is doing. They really care. My dog is happy to go there. It doesn't hurt that we take him along for non-visits, like to pick up medicine, so he was used to going there to get good attention and treats even before his incident, but when we get to the parking lot he gets excited and once we get inside he wants to say hi to everyone and explore. Not long ago, they expanded into the space next door and updated their lobby in the process. They now have a computer system that includes a photo of your dog that they take right there in their offices, to help them recognize your pet when you arrive and keep each pet's treatments straight - and if your pet should ever get lost, they already know who to look for.Read Less

If I could give zero stars I would! The people at this establishment are very kind but they have little to no respect for their clients/customers. I have English Bulldogs and DR. Shealey refused to write the correct medication for the issues our dog was experiencing per my request. Lucky for me she reveled her lack of faith in her decision when she told me "I spoke with my colleague and they agree with me". She followed telling me to "give the meds she prescribed (clavamox)time to kick in" so the following day I called our breeder. She made a phone call and we drove 40 minutes to her vet to find out that our pup had an upper respiratory infection and if we had followed DR. SHEALEY's advice Max would have gotten pneumonia. He was 12 weeks old. I do not want to think about what could have happened to our pup if we would have trusted DR. SHEALEY. Please be careful at this vet office and understand that they are very kind to your face but underneath their is little to no respect for the paying customer. I have been a client of Clocktower Animal Hospital for about three years. I have never been disappointed. The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. I am always satisfied and trust them completely with my pet Lhasa Apso. I would not object to any of the doctors from Clocktower treating my pet; however, Dr. Mazur provides his primary care. Dr. Mazur is outstanding. The level of expertise, care, and concern he shows for my pet is supreme. He asks questions and listens intently as he evaluates the symptoms and makes appropriate recommendations for care. Especially noteworthy, is when my dog was having trouble walking--Dr. Mazur did not waste time trying different things or guessing as to what it might be. He immediately sent me to an orthopedic specialist and that is just what was needed. I always receive timely follow-up calls. My pet's name is Sir Newby and he knows he is royalty. Clocktower has been a wonderful facility and top rated veterinarian in the area for years. Unfortunately, since The Carskaddan's sold the practice to NVA, and specifically since Ann has taken over in the last year, patient care and client satisfaction have declined significantly. Everything is rushed, and instead of trying to offer the best possible medical care, they are just trying to get as many people in the door as possible. I have been bringing my cats to Clocktower since 1997. Over the years, seven cats have come and gone -- the oldest lived until just over 18. We've been through nasal sarcoma, multiple myeloma, cardiomyopathy, liver failure, kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, hyperthyroidism, congestive heart failure, seizures, eosinophilic granuloma complex, anal fistulae, FeLV, dental extractions, tapeworm, and lymphoma, to name just a few. ;) Every time, the vets and techs at Clocktower were skilled, not only with diagnosis and treatment, but with handling pets (and owners) with compassion and care. I never left an appointment with unanswered questions, and if I thought of one later, return calls were always fast. I really can't say enough good things about CAH.

Should I need another vet in the future, I won't be going to Clocktower. Read Less

For what we paid I expect for my animals welfare to be considered not a prescription quota!! Read Less

Quantity, not quality - makes a good veterinary practice right? wrong. Some of the best and most empathetic employees have also left the hospital.
