Recently having moved into the area, I was looking for a vet office. My older dog, having many health issues-epilepsy, hip dysplasia, an enlarged liver and a cancer survivor who had recently had surgery to remove a tumor, received the best care she could have received anywhere, at any office. I know this to be true as we were given every chance to choose what we wanted to do for treatments, it was explained what would be best for her issues and explained thoroughly. As we treated her, I often received calls from our Doctor to check up on her progress or decline. When it came time to let her go, we were given a room, our whole family attending, to see her to the other side, to comfort her and sit with her on the floor holding her so she had no fear nor knew what was happening. A dignified end to a wonderful life. Dr. Thigpen was candid but compassionate and did not push us to do anything we did not wish to do. After making the devastating decision to let her pass, Dr. stayed with us until Jayne was gone and gave us time to stay with her for as long as we wanted. We were not bombarded with a bill as soon as we walked out of the room, which we expected as business is business. We were in tears and grieving and did not receive our bill until 30 days later via mail. It was a relief because if I had to sign a credit card slip after losing my best friend that I'd had by my side for 10 years, since she was a baby, I think I would have fainted on the floor. I would recommend this office to anyone who cares about their companion and wishes to receive compassionate care.-Michele White Read Less
