For those of who know me, know how much my dog means to me. My boy came down with an awful ear infection that spread to the side of his face. It spread so fast that my dog was in so much pain, he couldn't eat and struggled to walk. His Vet is in Ohio and I was not able to get him there. Living between Oh and Va, I needed a good, caring Vet for my boy fast!!! Doctor Randell and her team were fabulous to say the least. They took immediate care of my boy. The doctor is trustworthy and reliable. She took the time to explain all my options to me. She came up with a great plan to get him better ASAP!! Her team took great care of my boy too. The staff is absolutely wonderful!! The big plus here is that the cost was  reasonable. Great friendly staff ! We have our baby boy Bueller who is now 14 weeks old and Lansdowne Animal Hospital proved us with great service and ALOT of education and information on what's best for our new pup . They work directly with our dog health insurance Trupanion which we really like ! t’s hard to bite the bullet and entrust the well-being of your pets to someone new. We haven’t needed to see a vet for anything besides regular shots since we move to VA. The princess has a strange bump pop up so we did some research and came in to see LAH. Everyone was great and made the entire experience a breeze. They laid out clear expectations and provided us options as to how we should proceed. The front office staff are always very friendly. They have flexibility in scheduling and have always been able to accommodate a last minute appt without issue. There is little to no wait once arriving for your appointment and the doctors are very caring and attentive. The office is always clean & is very bright and open now that they expanded. They have been our regularly Vet for our 4 dogs for nearly 2 years and we have always had a great experience with each visit!!! Read Less

This place is wonderful! The staff is extremely attentive to my dog, the facilities are nice and everything is run in an efficient manner. Our dog had abdominal surgery here, and had to return everyday after due  to various complications. Finally, four days after surgery we were referred to the emergency vets in Leesburg. That is the last time we heard from Dr. Godlewski, who performed the unsuccessful surgery at Lansdowne. Our dog had been in her care for nine months. We trusted her. We left her care (on good terms) when referred to the specialists at The LifeCentre in Leesburg. The LifeCentre saved our dog's life. He was there for five days in their intensive care unit after a subsequent surgery, which was successful. That was over seven weeks ago. Have been to LAH a couple of times now for both our dogs and we just love the friendliness and caring they show us. Kudos to McKenzie and Amanda who make such a good team in getting our dog's nails done the other day, something we dread and avoid. I absolutely love this place! The staff was so welcoming and friendly they made me and my pup feel right at home. Not to mention the fantastic doctors they have there, who answered all of my questions and made me feel so comfortable. Awesome staff. Not pushy at all! 100% caring staff. They saved my little pups life. I would recommend them 100 times over! Still due to drop by a thank you gift to these awesome nurses/doctors and staff. From the time I called in worried about my dog til the time I picked her up from surgery. Archie is a 4 year old Russell terrier mix who is always treated like a prince when we bring him! They truly care about the animals well being and are always helpful upon getting your pet scheduled in for a visit even if short notice. A great experience for man and beast! I recently moved to the area and was lucky enough to find the "perfect" vet in our neighborhood. The staff here is extremely friendly and are always eager to help and listen to any concerns we have with our dogs whether we're just calling in with a question or we are in for a yearly checkup. I absolutely love this animal hospital! I have never been more comfortable in a vet's office. My two dogs, like most dogs, don't love going to the vet, but Lansdowne Animal Hospital makes the most effort to ensure you and your pets will be treated kindly. Our family has been bringing all of our dogs here for years. They are fabulous for regular care as well as emergency visits. More often than not they are available for same week (or same day!) appointments. Also, the reminders for visits are good but not annoyingly repetitive. I have been taking my dog to this hospital for several years and have always had a great experience with the vets and support staff for ongoing wellness exams. My cat, who had been seen by a mobile vet for a number of years, recently needed a dental cleaning. Due to pulmonary concerns, extra screening was required prior to the cleaning and Lansdowne was very accommodating in coordination of information with the mobile vet. I love this Animal Hospital! I've had a traumatizing experience in the past with over vaccinations that ended up killing my puppy. I was hesitant to bring my new puppy to any vet, let alone get him vaccinated. I explained this to the Dr. and she was great about spreading the vaccinations apart and ensuring me that there would be no adverse reactions. My dog has very bad vet anxiety, and they gave me good advice to calm down my dog before her appointment over the phone, as well as take steps to make sure she was as comfortable as possible during her appointment. Lansdowne Animal hospital has been taking care of our two English Bulldogs for almost 8 years now, and we couldn't be happier with their service. We initially went to another local vet (first year plus) that supposedly specialized in Bulldogs, but were very unhappy with them. We transferred over to Lansdowne due to a chance meeting with Dr. Godlewski, and have never regretted it. She and all of her staff (Rhona and Carla especially are the ones we usually see on our visits) are absolutely wonderful. They all are always happy, pleasant to deal with and show very obvious concern for our dogs. We have been able to get in to see the Doctor or one of the specialists at last minute notice several times (especially helpful on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend - at least twice now) when they had no appointments available. Dr. Godlewski has always been absolutely wonderful with our dogs, and they all make it an easy trip for them; they used to hate going to the other vet, but they are excited to go into Lansdowne whenever we take them. They always have excellent knowledge of what might be ailing our dogs, and usually are able to give us options for treatment, depending on what our concerns might be with their comfort. We have had to leave them both there for procedures needing anesthesia and we get regular updates on how they are doing. We also always get follow up calls to see how they are doing after we bring them in. We cannot recommend Lansdowne higher to anyone needing a Vet, and we plan on continuing with them with all of our future pets. Tom & Lesley Hall Read Less

Not too long ago I left my previous vet because I felt they were too pushy and a bit condescending. I came here on a recommendation from a neighbor and it's a million times better. Great vets and great front desk coordinators. I also really appreciate how whenever I take my pup in for a sick visit I always get a follow up call the next day to see how he's doing. We would be lost without the dedicated staff at Lansdowne Animal Hospital.  Oue beloved fur-baby has a number of medical and behavioral issues.  The entire staff works as a team with incredible competence and care, overseeing each item on her extensive medical chart.  We have been provided every resource possible to give her the very best chance for a healthy, happy life.  They actively listen to us, answer every question, and ask for our opinions on treatment options, so we're completely comfortable with the course we decide on.  I know the Leesburg area has alot of wonderful veterinarians, but I wouldn't think about taking my little girl anywhere else. I took my cat to LAH for the first time today and I was immediately impressed. The vet tech was so kind and I appreciated the effort they put into making sure my cat was comfortable. He got a physical exam, two vaccines, and a fecal sample was sent to a lab to check for parasites. They were gentle, thorough, and it was apparent that the whole staff cares deeply about all the animals they see. I'm a little obsessed with my cat so I was very happy to see him getting pet and talked to while he was getting his exam. The vet came in as soon as the vet tech weighed him and took his temperature, I was expecting to have to wait awhile! I highly recommend LAH to anybody in need of quality animal care! P.S. We adopted a puppy last month and bring her to LAH. She love going there despite the shots she gets because everyone is so kind and gives her so much love! Conditional compassion? Apparently so.I'm happy to know that some families find empathetic consideration here. We expect nothing less from those we choose to entrust our pets' well-being. Our family evidently warranted rather presumptuous communication & behavior during our last visit, however.The regrettable details are what they are; reliving the unceremonious experience is the last thing I want to do here. Just know that the appointment was an ordeal at best. It was as if the staff (particularly the primary Dr.) was bewildered by our presence and consequently, was incapable of proceeding with care. A couple and their dear companion visit a vet ... strange, I know.Bottom line is that we chose Lansdowne Animal Hospital; Lansdowne Animal Hospital staff chose their behavior. Each was a mistake. At first we were happy with our decision to bring our dogs to Lansdowne Animal Hospital. But things ever so slightly started going downhill. Not once, not twice, but on three separate occasions they changed or questioned our order with 1-800-PetMeds because it wasn't what they recommended or they were upset that we didn't order through them. When it's their pet it can be their decision. At our last visit, our 2 year old Corgi needed some shots and wasn't taking them well. After the shots were administered the assistant was very sweet and told our Corgi how good he did. However, the doctor felt the need to make a comment along the lines of, "well not really". I know the dog didn't do well, he was getting shots, but what kind of person makes a back handed comment about an animal? They have certainly fallen from whatever grace they had left. I will never bring another pet to them ever. But if you like a veterinarian that mocks your pet out loud after they've been stuck with needless, then by all means this is the place for you. I am new to the area and new to being a puppy owner so I needed a lot of help/education on how to make sure I'm raising a healthy, well trained dog.  I just went to the closest vet to my house and I really lucked out with Lansdowne Animal Hospital.  Not only do they make it so easy to stay on track with vaccines and check-ups, but they helped me a lot with training tips and recommendations on food/activities to do with my goldendoodle pup.  They also provide such a comforting environment for your dog so they don't associate the vet with needles and uncomfortable check-ups.  When I was growing up, my parents' golden retriever would shake any time we were even close to the vet, but Bowie seems to love to go.  They have relaxing music, plug-in hormone scented air fresheners, and of course spoil the animals with plenty of treats (at your discretion).  The 2 vets and especially the aides are super friendly and personable, so it makes for a very pleasing trip that doesn't feel like a doctor's visit at all.  I highly recommend bringing your pet here! After I moved to Ashburn last year, I was worried I would not be able to find a vet like our previous one. I did my research, got recommendations from friends in the area and decided that Lansdowne Animal Hospital was the right vet for my dog. The vets (Dr. Godlewski and Dr. Randall) are both great and take their time to listen and understand what is going on. All of the ladies that work in the office are so wonderful and can usually fit in an appointment to fit my schedule. They have gotten to know my dog and know how to handle her very anxious and scared behavior during a vet visit. The best part is that after any appointment that isn't routine, they call to follow up and ask how my dog is doing, if there are any additional questions they can answer and make themselves available when needed. My 3 year old male cat had an issue with a simple UTI. Having had experience in the vet field I knew how easily male cats can get crystals and blocked from bladder issues. I took him in on a Wednesday afternoon. Dr. G was very kind, detailed, clear, and concise about what she thought was the best, yet still conservative, approach for his treatment. They were very good about calling to check on him, and even did xrays for him Friday to ease my worries for the weekend. This is a fantastic practice.  I switched from another practice that was not very patient with my very feisty Dachshund.  Dr. Godlewski and her staff are very patient and caring.  The office is small which gives it a more personal touch.  Even if you don't have a dog with "issues"  I think Dr. Godlewski is excellent at diagnosing health issues.As a side note, Dr. Godlewski attended Cornell for Vet School which is the number one school for veterinary medicine in the country.  I totally trust her!
