Virginia Equine Pllc

Manakin-Sabot, Virginia
General Info
Virginia Equine located in Manakin-Sabot serves as a veterinary partner for pets throughout their life stages by providing stable and trustworthy support to families across Virginia from early years into maturity. Appointments emerge through attentive listening to pet behavior combined with household routine patterns and family observations across weeks. During initial visits veterinarians perform comprehensive physical examinations that assess dental health, gait patterns, joint mobility, eye conditions, hydration status, and nervous system responses. Owners have the ability to communicate recent behavioral patterns including modifications in appetite sleep or handling tolerance. These patterns establish care pacing mechanisms that prevent premature decision-making. Virginia Equine delivers an array of services including preventive care along with diagnostic panels and weight tracking while also offering surgical consults together with senior wellness services and chronic condition coaching. Plan customization occurs for family environments including urban apartments with emerging noise factors and multi-pet households where animals are in various life stages. Pet owners gain confidence through transition strategies when their pet’s care requirements evolve from preventive measures to monitoring needs or from temporary solutions to long-term stability. Each step receives straightforward explanation while progress tracks through behavior consistency along with home care simplicity and preparedness for upcoming visits. Instead of burdening families with numerous tasks the team implements a spaced schedule incorporating inherent flexibility and optional check-ins. Virginia Equine delivers veterinary services to families in Manakin-Sabot and across Virginia by aligning with pet life cycles through a responsive yet structured approach that fosters mutual advancement.

Dr Patteson did and AMAZING job for my donkeys..I cannot thank her enough for all she did to save moma and baby. She took the time with them and explaining to me everything during my farm call; as well as when they stayed at the clinic for a week she did regular check ups on them, and calls and pictures to me so I was sure they were being well taken care of. I have been using VA Equine Clinic for over 10 years to care for my horses. Everyone at VA Equine is very knowledgeable and friendly. The vets are always patient and easy to talk to, I should know, I ask A LOT of questions. I have found follow up care is also easy to communicate, if I should have any further questions, my vet is accessible within that day if I leave a message with Brenda or Sarah. I like that all the vets have specialty areas (such lameness, chiropractic, acupuncture, or teeth) that they excel in and/or are certified in and they talk among the clinic about what would be most helpful for my horses. If I have any questions about scheduling or billing, Brenda is always willing to help. I am so grateful to have such compassionate, wonderful veterinary care for my horses! VA Equine is also great for attending and sponsoring local events to stay active in the community!Read Less

My colt had surgery at the clinic last summer, the vet never answered any of my text after his surgery (I had major concerns and questions about his post op care, luckily had had another vet friend that helped me through his entire recovery). They were very late getting him into surgery which she claims was my fault (even though they never gave me a drop off time). Regarding the bill, I set up a payment plan but was NOT told about any type of finance charges, and when I emailed the clinic to try to get it straight and instead of answering me they sent my bill to collections with NO attempt to contact me back. Hopefully this will get me some answers. Read Less

Dr. Emily Olson was out today to give fall shots and float teeth. As a first time horse owner I have lots of questions! Dr. Olson answers all of my questions and explains things in terms I can understand. I'm sure there are many horse owners that could care less but I want the details and I want a vet willing to discuss the details with me. Thank you Dr. Olson for your care of Remi and for teaching me something new! Read Less

Dr.Neist and Dr.Daniels Have been fantastic treating my race horses, jumpers and foxhunters. They have been great to work with, making sure I understand what's going on (And answering endless questions) and being very understanding and patient when the time comes for making very difficult decisions. I couldn't think of using any other vets. And Brenda is awesome too! She always is so nice and knows exactly what is going on. Read Less
