I question whether or not this vet clinic has any passion for the animals, but know with certainty they have a thirst for money. I brought my new puppy in a few days ago because she was itching and whining nonstop. I told the vet that my puppy was scratching profusely and seemed miserable. My puppy also recently had diarrhea, but I told the vet it wasn't a concern - I was fairly certain the diarrhea came from new treats I gave my puppy. The vet then shifted focus purely oh the diarrhea and showed no concern for the scratching which was my main purpose for the examination. After a thorough examination (or so I thought a thorough examination), the vet listed off well over $300 worth of test, treatments, and vaccines I "needed" to get my dog (she was up to date on all routine vaccinations) to treat the diarrhea and recommended Benadryl from Target to treat the scratching. I tell the Vet I cannot afford all of these things right now and to please limit it down to what I can afford. This included a $62 exam and $15 medicine for the poor soft stool. (Also, just a note of caution, during the examination, she was trying to collect a stool sample without warning me that, too, would cost a fortune)Anyways, I took the Vet's advice, bought the poopy prescription and picked up some pink allergy pills from Target. I also bought some Oatmeal shampoo/conditioner to moisturize my pup's skin. Well, here's where it all gets interesting. As soon as my puppy touches the water, I see black dots ALL over her legs! She has ticks all over her. How on earth could the vet miss this? Shouldn't she be trained to check around the feet with the flea comb? Waste of money. The Benadryl, needless to say, did NOTHING and the diarrhea was gone later that day. I took my pup to Potomic Spay and Neuter clinic and for less than the price PWAH quoted, I got her spayed (which was not included in the PWAH $300 estimate for treatment), lime tested and vaccinated, tick/flea treated, heart worm tested and vaccinated, and was received much kinder at Potomic than PWAH. Hands down, waste of money. Prince William Animal Hospital charges far too much for their services. Additionally, my husky pup is quite energetic (surprise surprise) and they did not seem happy working with her. They treated her like a bad puppy, when she was simply scared and didn't quite appreciate two rectal checks and a surprise thermometer. Do your homework on the prices and shop around. Read Less
