We are moving about an hour away in a month or so and I am going to make the drive here, every time, to continue using this clinic. They have taken AMAZING care of my diabetic dog and have always made both of us feel comfortable, which is great for my baby because she is very timid. From helping me realize she had diabetes, to managing it, and everything in between 10/10!! The entire staff is amazing but the newest doctor (who's name I won't butcher because I cannot spell) is OUTSTANDING. Super knowledgeable, amazing bedside manner, great with my weirdo dog. Also, veterinary services are expensive but this clinic is very upfront before they start things with how much everything will be and very honest about what they really deem necessary and where I can save some costs. I've had many good experiences with this clinic. They seem to genuinely care about my pets and aren't just trying to squeeze every penny out of me. It can be difficult to schedule a time for grooming or certain vetinary appointments, though, as they seem to take on a lot of clients. Read Less

I'm was pleased to have found that Dr. Deutsch was now practicing in my area close to Gainesville. I always found him to be very informed about my dog's health and was confident in his advice and procedures. I recently took my two fosters (Cavaliers) to him for shot updates and he was as gentle and informed as he's always been. I never have any issues at Signal Hill. They always remember my dog, Brady, when he walks in. The staff and doctors are always efficient and the most I've had to wait was 10 min in the exam room while they were running a blood test. I also love that when my dog needs a shot they don't make it into a big production where we have to talk to a doctor; they just give him the shot and we're done. I was having the worse time with my cat, Derry. He has a bad cough for ages and not one vet treated him or called me to follow up with him. I never have a doubt my dogs are in good hands when I go to Signal Hill Animal Clinic. I recently moved out of state and still travel an hour and a half to make sure my dogs go here as we had a terrible experience when we tried to find a closer vet. I wouldn't recommend this place. The veterinarian I had just seemed out of touch. He kept calling my male dog a female during the exam, which made me wonder how thourough the exam was. That didn't really bother me, so I planned on going back. I called them frantic one Saturday morning shortly after because my 7 year old dog wasn't able to walk upon waking up and was cowering in pain, they stated they were booked and wouldn't be able to see me. I explained again that he wasn't able to walk and asked if there was any way they could squeeze me in and they refused. I called Morganna Animal Clinic, just down the road and they too said they were booked for the day. I then explained to them that my dog was unable to walk and they said "We are fully booked, but we will not turn down any animal in that condition. Arrive as soon as possible and we'll fit you into the schedule". I'll never go anywhere else than Morganna as long as I live in the area. They were there for me when my regular veterinarian left me in the dark with a dog who was unable to walk and in severe pain. I imagine they have great reviews based on scheduled service, but beware, they will not be there for you when you need them most. Read Less

My pitbull/mastiff absolutely loves the staff here, and I'm glad to trust him with them. He was brought in as an emergency not long ago with vomiting fits and diarrhea that had not stopped after two days. He was tested, diagnosed and able to return home the same day, and was able to sleep through the ensuing nights with no more stomach trouble. Visited this facility when my female jack russell/pit bull terrier had a hemotoma form on her ear over the weekend. We really didn't have a 'home' vet, so I called around a few facilities to check out office visit rates. Signal Hill Animal Clinic happened to be running a New Client special discount so I opted for this, since it was also near another appointment that day. The staff were courteous and helpful from check-in to check-out. The Dr. was very easy to speak with and he explained the causes and treatment options and let ME choose the path for my animal. My kitty has had some problems with vomiting and the doctor immediately had 5 or 6 different hypotheses for why it was happening and cited study after study regarding the latest research into the common causes for this issue. He clearly keeps up to date on the literature and seems to have almost a photographic memory for it. I feel completely confident in his ability to care for my pets. We had an elderly cat last year that had to be put down and they handled this very professionally and empathically. As a bonus, their prices seem more reasonable than other places I've tried. Signal Hill Animal Clinic boasts a great vet and uncommonly clean and bright facilities. On July 2 we had to call the because our boxer Amber was sick. Dr Deutsch and staff was so wonderful. Sadly We had to decide to put her down and was almost more than I could bare. Love this place. They took great care of our dog and followed-up to see how she was doing. I found the front desk and staff friendly and well-educated in the the work of the clinic. Dr. D- (sp?) shows genuine interest in his patients and their owners. His prices are fair and he does not try to sell you anything. I went twice in two weeks with my cat. And each time the vet only spent a few minutes with me and my baby. Each time my cat was quickly diagnosed with something and meds were ordered. The vet did not fully explain anything and I had to ask so many questions that were still not fully answered. And the problems were still there after the treatment of meds. This place doesn't even deserve one star! The vet doesn't care about the animals and all he cares about is the $$$. It is sad because the girls that run the front desk are very friendly. This vet has missed three times of worms that could clearly be seen without a microscope. He just didn't want to prescribe anything because he wanted me to come back and pay for another full visit.
