Our dog was bitten by a copperhead at Pole Green Park and my husband immediately took her to our vet which was 5 minutes away only to find that there was no vet on duty Animal Hospital how can you call yourself a Hospital. RUN don't walk away from this place.

I will never again take my animals to this vet.
I took my animal to this vet and asked if I could go into the room with her while she received a shot, and was declined. She had a reaction to the shot within 24 hours and was throwing up non-stop. I called and was told to giver her benadryl pill. I called another vet and took her to them where she was treated for the throwing up and the reaction. A month later she developed a bump on the back of her neck which could be a form of cancer caused by the shot. When we called to ask where the shot was given we were told 'they did not notate it.'

I couldn't disagree more with the first reviewer. I have had three pets treated by this vet numerous times over the last several years. The vet and her staff have been extremely polite and very patient. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and they have always tried to answer all of them. I have never felt rushed, and I have always been seen within a reasonable amount of time. I love this vet and her office.

Just to correct the previous review that was written, it is not that this hospital will not write prescriptions for you, BUT it is that their policy is not to associate with certain drug companies over the internet. They WILL however write you a prescription, either they can mail it to you or you can come pick it up. They ALSO give you the option of price matching with them for the same price offered by certain drug companies over the internet. Reason for this is because if we (the customer) do our research, you can never really be to sure where your products are coming from when they are being shipped to you, whereas if you do decide to purchase from this clinic, you know the product you're getting and it is easier for the company to reimburse you if there is something wrong with the product, just because the hospital purchases the product directly from company.

Would you like to have prescriptions called in to places like 1-800-petmeds? So would I! Bell Creek Veterinary Hospital will NOT do this for you... (Even though this is a completely illegal practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.) This is akin to a hospital saying you MUST go to their pharmacy to purchase your prescription. Want the best price? Sorry! The vet at this hospital recently called me to solicit her business. I took issue with some of her practices, and she ended the phone call with, ""Well, you don't have to come back then."" and HUNG UP on me! I've actually never had worse customer service in my life. It makes me angry to think of the money we have spent supporting her business. I recommend to all: STAY CLEAR of this animal hospital.

The vet and her staff have been extremely polite and very patient. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and they have always tried to answer all of them.
