Dr Kitt was my vet 8 yrs ago for 10 yrs. I was happy with him till Dr Cindy joined the practice. My Jack russell became ill, when she called me to let me know how bad it was, i was shocked and obviously very upset. She was extremely RUDE and had NO compassion what so ever! When she told me i needed to bring her in and leave her so they could put IV's in her overnight it was heart breaking because she was always with me. I told Dr Cindy she did not like being caged, as im crying, (again NO COMPASSION!) her exact words were, " WELL WE CAN'T JUST LET HER RUN AROUND THE OFFICE WITH AN IV" and she said it in the most arrogant tone. I have saved many friends and family from taking their pets here.DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE CHOOSING YOUR VET, MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE LOVE OF ANIMALS AND NOT THE MONEY!!!!! Read Less

I am so incredibly thankful to have the best vet in the Chesterfield/Midlothian area! Genito Animal Hospital has always taken such amazing care of my family and we have never had a bad experience. There's nothing better than having a trustworthy staff and set of doctors that you can 110% trust with your fur-babies. The staff is always friendly, they all truly love their office and have pride in what they do. The doctors are a dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Kit and Cindy, and they truly love each of their clients and their families as their own. It is extremely easy to get an appointment with their office, there is never a long wait time. I especially love the events that they participate in and host in our community - they are a generous office and love to give and serve when they can! I have come here before to get my dog vaccinated and his nails cut. My dog is a fairly big dog and gets over excited when meeting new dogs. He can be a bit loud at times. I am working on it with him. However, I was pretty disappointed with my last visit. My dog was anxious and was crying. After he got his nails cut, I took him out because he was getting too anxious. My husband was at the desk paying for the nail trim and the vet proceeded to tell him how loud our dog was and that he was causing too much of a commotion in the office. I think that's very unprofessional of her to do. If you're working in the pet industry and regularly come in contact with dogs then expect the barking.. it's what they do. Like I said, he is loud when he is anxious and I'm working on it with him. He's a rescue dog, so he's been through some stuff. First time attending this practice was today, but I am overall very impressed. Did not have to wait long at all in the waiting room, and was in and out in 30 minutes (after an exam, microchipping, etc). The veterinarian was very down to earth and friendly, and the prices were extremely reasonable. Making this my new veterinary practice in Richmond! Read Less

My dog became very ill at the end of last week and our usual vet could not see her. Given how sick she was, waiting till Monday did not seem like a good idea. I am beyond grateful for the willingness of the staff at Genito to fit us in late in the day on a Friday and the kindness of Dr. Charbonneau and her vet tech. Time to switch vets! They have taken such good care of our dogs for years and when life happened, and our precious Shiz-tru grew old, the amount of LOVE that they all contributed to her passing was unreal. well let me start bye saying omg i think i just founded my stable vet for my pets i took my puppy in for his first shot and we were in and out so quick the doctor! was very nice and explaned everything in the proper way did not try to over sell at all infact they give my puppy a free heart dewormer chewable treat and also a flea serum to test out !!! this place is so amazing the staff is so nice and so caring for the pets !!! not to mentione the prices are awesomely low compared to other vets !!! this place is well worth it !!! definitely reccomend to anyone who loves awesome and caring pet service. What a great vet office!!! Receptionist took me in last minute at 2 o'clock for a 3 o'clock appt. Staff was VERY friendly, very nice, very loving to the animals. You can tell that they all enjoy their job. The Dr. even drew sketches on a dry erase board to explain the issue to me. I just moved to the area and the price of the visit was reasonable also. Would've given 5 stars, except for the fact that they assumed I would be filling prescriptions that day and filled them immediately and didn't inform me that one part of the exam was not routine and that there was also a charge for that. Granted, you expect to spend money when you go to the vet, but the knowledge would have been nice.Read Less

This is by far the best vet around. Very affordable, especially compared to my old vet that ripped me off every chance. They are definitely in it for the animals, not the money. I have received free "exams" when bringing in a sick animal that required testing. All I would have to pay for is the testing, the vet would not charge for the visit...unlike most other offices. They aren't pushy when it comes to products...at all. The Dr is really good with calling you back when you call with issues and is just generally a great guy to work with. I'm going to find another veterinary clinic for my pet.""Dr. Cindy"" as i call her is very nice and professional.My disappointment is with the front desk staff. They can be slow to acknowledge your prescence.I've been asked to weigh my own pet as though i work there.Professionalism means alot to me. I don't want to see eye rolling when someone doesn't feel like doing their job.Another thing that i noticed is that the exam tables didn't always look like it had been wiped down after the last patient.As much money as i pay for my pet's care, i want a veterinary office with the total package.This place isn't it.
