Dr. Piske and Dr. Sparkman practice fantastic medicine and surgery, and they have state of the art equipment in their facility. But, that's where the "good" ends.
Certain members of the support staff leave much to be desired, as they obviously do not understand how important customer service is. Their lack of simple common courtesy caused me to leave a great facility.
Amy Popejoy tried to DRAG my dog from the exam room, to take her to the scale. Of course, I did not allow that to happen--I went with my dog to the scale. Amy had absolutely no need to try to manhandle my dog, and I was furious. I went so far as to tell one of the doctors that she was to NEVER touch another one of my animals again.
Sherri Brunelle-I don't even know where to start with her! She took a situation that was difficult for everyone, and made it even worse. She obviously does not know or understand the basics of customer service. She apparently doesn't understand that every penny I spent at Colony helped pay her salary; and she doesn't seem to realize that clients do talk about their experience at the clinic. If I thought I was the only one who had a problem with her, I'd keep my mouth shut. But I've heard too many ugly things said about how she treats clients out in the community. I've heard about her in all the local pet stores, and of ALL places, my pharmacy-a hole in the wall place you won'tfind unless you know its location!! I hope she can live with the fact that it was her attitude, her actions and her nasty Facebook post that caused me to leave Colony and take my business elsewhere.
Ever since Lisa left Colony several years ago, the customer service has steadily gone downhill. Customer service can, will and does make or break a business. It should be noted that there is a veterinary practice on nearly every corner. If one clinic won't treat you with common courtesy, better believe the one down the street will gladly do so. The animal does not drive itself to the clinic, nor does the animal pay the bill. The owner does that. Therefore, the owner should be just as big a focus as the animal is if a business wants to keep that client.
As I stated, Dr. Piske and Dr. Sparkman are fantastic, and I hate that I felt the need to leave them. However, I can no longer stomach certain support staff members in order to get to the doctors. I think some serious in depth training in the basics of customer service would go a very long way in that clinic! Read Less
