After bringing Sasha for an eye problem, some time ago, we decided to go with Warwick Animal Hospital for our full service vet.  The service was wonderful, comprehensive, and affordable.  The check-in process was quick, and we were able to get a same day appt.  The following day we received a follow-up text message inquiring about Sasha's condition.  That was really nice.  While no one looks forward to needing a vet, its good to know the caring nature of the technicians. Our main experience has been with Dr. Gus who has held our hands through prolonged issues with two of our reptiles that I'm sure most vets would have given up on. We absolutely love Warwick and would never take our fur babies any where else! We just recently lost our youngest cat to cancer and with every visit Warwick has went above and beyond for us and her. They even sent us flowers the day after which made it even more personal than it already has been. We are so thankful for them and that our baby was in such good hands when she passed. I started out loving this animal hospital. Would have given them a 5 star but things changed. My dog had to have surgery. I am used to having the vet call me after the surgery was over to let me know how the surgery went and answer any questions I may have. I called to check on my dog since they didn't call me and was told I could come and pick my dog up. When I got there a vet tech told me everything went well. They didn't want to put a bandage on her because they thought she would chew it. She wouldn't keep the cone on and was banging in the furniture. Rooms are small. I had to go to work and came back to her chewing the stitches out and licking a crater in her skin. I called Dr Dove immediately and was told she would call me back. I waited and finally called again. She was in with a patient and would call me back. She never returned my call. The next morning when they opened I was there. She was off that day. I was livid. My dog just had surgery and complications and I couldn't get in touch with the surgeon! I went home and another doctor called and told me to bring my dog in. He gave her antibiotics and medication ointment for her leg. She had developed a infection. I took her home and put the ointment on,gave her a pill, and wrapped her leg. She left it alone and it healed. I did the bandage changes. I called and went back because there were stitches still in her leg and a tech saw her again. She said the stitches were desolving and she just pulled a stitch out that had been sticking out. I told her had I known the stitches were desolving I would not have come in. That could have been communicated at the beginning if the doctor had spoken to me. Dr Dove was in that day and saw me waiting to see her.  She never spoke with me. I still don't understand this change in the Doctor but my animals deserve better care than this. I will never return to this hospital again. Read Less

My cat was generally healthy and only required emergency surgery once (ate something not food) and other than that, just routine exams, yet, Dr. Sekut remembered my cat's history and habits. He took the time to discuss options for care and treatments and suggested alternates that were cheaper (at cost to him). Genuine care and concern. I have never had a better Vet. My Bull Terrier suffered from "death breath". She lived almost 16 years with annual check ups at vets all over the US (I was active duty). Each office explained her teeth needed cleaning and it would cure the smell. Within a day or two the smell returned. One my first visit to this Vet the doctor walked in and announced out loud what was wrong with my dog. He could smell it when we walked in. He was able to diagnose her properly and fix the issue. You never saw an old dog get so young, so fast. From this point on I will only bring my animals to this clinic. I have since rescued another Bull Terrier and she has been treated for worms, a UTI, round 2 of worms and gastric upset. Each time she was expertly diagnosed and the treatment was spot on.Read Less

After living on the Southside and using the same vet for 15 years it was hard to pick one on the Peninsula but I love the care we receive at Warwick Animal Hospital. Small animal veternarians are extremely hard to come by, with that being said being able to find a GOOD small animal vet is even more difficult. But the staff and vets from Warwick are some of the smartest individuals I've met in a long time. They knew exactly what they were talking about in regards to my syrian hamster, and provided me with great and vital informaton on his health, I firmly reccomend small animal owners to stop by and have their pets checked out by Warwick's vets. I have quite a few animals. Two dogs and lots of reptiles. I have taken both my chameleon, and two of my leopard geckos here for treatment. Every time I have been here has been amazing. Dr. Gus knows what he is talking about when comes to reptiles and I feel I'm in great care here. It's honestly hard to find a vet that knows what to do with those little ones. They do not do what they say they are going to do then lie about it. They were suppose to remove 4 to 5 lumps off our dog and when we went in after surgery they had removed only 2 but still charged us the same amount and told us it was cancer without even doing a biopsy. Then refused to help with the cost of cremation. Does anybody in the area know who owns warwick animal hospital. I would really like to know how the owner feels about this doctor refusing to pay 140.00 put of his pocket. Which seems only fair since they were not up front to begin with. Read Less

I took my dog here to get groomed... He was very ill days later so we took him in to get checked out... come to find out he got staph infection while he was here... How disgusting to make matters worse they charged us for the medicine... How is it our fault there facility is gross... would never take my dogs here again! Read Less

I would not go here, the nurses are good and understanding but the doctor was not. He didn't even give my dog a chance and recommended my pet to be put down because he didn't want their nails trimmed. It's normal for animals to freak out when trying to trim their nails, he got to two complete nail trims before my dog freaked out on the third nail and pooped on himself. I would not recommend this place at all, every dog needs a chance before making assumptions. Read Less
