We were pretty disappointed with our appointment. We made the appointment for our rescue dog because he has remained yeasty after we have tried anti fungal shampoos and limited ingredient hoslitic diets. We chose to go to this speciality hospital instead of our regular vet because I’m against the prescription diet foods on the market that are over priced and non nutritious. We were there over a 2 hours and the visit cost $300 for them to tell us that the test showed he has yeast. Yes, I knew that. That’s why I schedule the appointment. The only solutions offered was a shot that makes him itch less (doesn’t fix the issue, just covers it up) and they tried to sell us Royal Canin prescription dog food that costs $100 and the first 6 ingredients are Brewers rice, hydrolyzed soy protein, chicken fat, dried plain beet pulp, and natural flavors. Very nice people but a waste of $300. We will be spending our next time and money on a holistic vet that actually wants to help us fix the issues causing the excess yeast in a healthy manner. So glad our vet recommended Dr. Schmeitzel to us !!! Our dog is allergic to so much but now that he's been on treatment everything is much more manageable and his flare ups are not as frequent and we aren't going back to the vet every other week now !!! Highly recommend ! Read Less

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Schmeitzel and her staff. My poor dog basically should be living in a hypoallergenic bubble with all his allergies.
