If I could give John Rolfe Animal Hospital more than a 5 star rating I absolutely would. Thank you to all the staff at this facility! I recently took a little dog in from a woman who owned her, whom I convinced to let me take the dog to a Veterinarian for treatment! I had noticed the alarming condition of the dog and struck a conversation with the owner who said she did not have the means to pay for the dog's medical care and it had not been to a Vet in 10 years! The poor little thing was such a mess that words cannot describe how badly she looked and smelled. I was willing to pay for her care even though she was not mine! The staff in the front was extremely helpful and compassionate as well as Dr. Boyd. The little dog received initial examination, treatment for flea infestation, bathed and would need to be left overnight for sedation grooming in the morning! Dr. Boyd informed me that there would be no cost to me! What a surprise and what a great facility John Rolfe Animal Hospital is.

Had such a great experience! Nice clean offices, all the staff was super nice and very knowledgeable. My dog isn't a huge fan of going to the vet. But they made him feel at ease and very comfortable. The vet Dr. Boyd really knew what he was talking about, answered all of my silly questions with no problems. Also it seemed like he was treating my dog like one of his own, which made me extremely happy!!! I would definitely recommend this vet clinic!

Today was my third visit this month, and the second of which was the same day as I called for an appointment. My cat initially went for a relatively routine treatment, and then a follow up two weeks later. However today was another story; my cat has a history of chronic urinary blockages, and while his food therapy has worked wonderfully for years, any sign of straining while in the litter box sets off huge alarm bells! Fortunately the wonderful staff at John Rolfe Animal Hospital was able to see him within the half hour! My guy is a-ok (no blockages after all), and the care and sensitivity they showed not just him but me as well was greatly appreciated. As far as prices for their services, I'd say they are very fair and in just the range I expected. If I weren't already committed to moving across town this weekend I'd make them my forever vet (maybe if we don't like the new vet as much they will be anyway).

We are 20 plus years veterans of Gayton Animal hospital. We followed Dr. Tisnado to John Rolf Animal hospital where we connected with yet another talented veterinarian, Dr. Cathy Blanchong. Dr. Blanchong has helped our 14year old English Springer with accupuncture and other advice and services. Though we still love Gayton, we are happy at John Rolf too. Great people, great hospitals. My dog tore his ACL and I was new to the area and didn't know where to turn. Luckily I met Dr. Willis at a local pet event and he encouraged me to come in. The quality of care given to my dog (and his worried mother) was top notch. The surgery and recovery would have been much more difficult had I gone to any other vet. They were flexible, always allowing us to come in at a moments notice. They were wonderful to work with, both the Doctors and the staff. They genuinely cared about my pet, which I have never experienced before at another vet. And they were always upfront about what was best for my pet, even if it was not something that I wanted to hear. When we boarded our pet there I knew he was in excellent hands and the relief of not having to worry was priceless. If you have never experienced a good vet before I encourage you to go try John Rolfe, their customer service and quality are the best in town.

My initial visit with John Rolfe Animal Hospital was very positive. The front desk staff was extremely nice and friendly; however, they struggled with the computer which I assumed was because it was a very new location. Our vet, Dr. Baker, seemed to truly care about our animals and made them fee very at ease through a stressful time. Also, the prices were very affordable. So when I started having behavioral problems with one of my cats, I reached out via phone and Dr. Baker was very prompt with getting back to me. She even sent me helpful articles via email. Ultimately, she suggested I bring my cat in for some testing to see if it is not behavioral.At this point, things went wrong. I brought my cat in for testing and a new vet was handling her case. The new vet, Dr. Tisnado, would talk over me and not listen to anything I said. She also was very condescending and jumped to conclusions. I decided to hang in there and try to reach out to Dr. Baker. Later I found out Dr. Baker had left the practice.A month later, I had not heard back from the vet as they were supposed to do a follow up appointment for my cat. I called them to schedule it and talked to Dr. Tisnado again. She got very snippy with me on the phone and again would not listen to me. Ultimately I made the decision to go elsewhere for my cat's care. I am sure Dr. Tisnado is a great vet and very well trained but her personality and bedside manner did not mesh with what I need from a vet in caring for my cat.If another vet becomes available at this location, I would be willing to try again as it is very convenient to where I live.

just a great group -- doctors, techs and assistants. i have taken my cats and dog to them for years. they have even suggested ways i could save money on expensive procedures! when i had to have my cat Louie put to sleep, they couldn't have been nicer -- even sent a sympathy card. the kitten i subsequently adopted was one i saw in their window. (they also foster and try to find homes for strays.) i couldn't recommend them more highly.

The staff at Gayton Animal Hospital is AMAZING! They are so thoughtful and smart. I have been to many different vet clinics over the years and found this office to be the most honest and caring. I have a relative who previously worked in this office who was also thoroughly impressed with the care that the staff shows to their clients (human and otherwise). She told me that all of the staff genuinely loves animals and treat the animals as if they were their own both in front of their clients as well as when the doors are closed.

I found everyone at GAH to be friendly towards me, and affectionate towards my pet. The receptionist, tech, and vet were all very professional and warm. I felt good having them care for my precious little cat. They followed up with lab results in a timely manner with a personal call from the vet. It was clear that they understood how much my pet means to me. I love this place.

Dr. Blanchong has helped our 14year old English Springer with accupuncture and other advice and services. Though we still love Gayton, we are happy at John Rolf too. Great people, great hospitals. My dog tore his ACL and I was new to the area and didn't know where to turn. Luckily I met Dr. Willis at a local pet event and he encouraged me to come in. The quality of care given to my dog (and his worried mother) was top notch. The surgery and recovery would have been much more difficult had I gone to any other vet. They were flexible, always allowing us to come in at a moments notice. They were wonderful to work with, both the Doctors and the staff. They genuinely cared about my pet, which I have never experienced before at another vet. And they were always upfront about what was best for my pet, even if it was not something that I wanted to hear. When we boarded our pet there I knew he was in excellent hands and the relief of not having to worry was priceless. If you have never experienced a good vet before I encourage you to go try John Rolfe, their customer service and quality are the best in town.

My initial visit with John Rolfe Animal Hospital was very positive. The front desk staff was extremely nice and friendly; however, they struggled with the computer which I assumed was because it was a very new location. Our vet, Dr. Baker, seemed to truly care about our animals and made them fee very at ease through a stressful time. Also, the prices were very affordable. So when I started having behavioral problems with one of my cats, I reached out via phone and Dr. Baker was very prompt with getting back to me. She even sent me helpful articles via email. Ultimately, she suggested I bring my cat in for some testing to see if it is not behavioral.At this point, things went wrong. I brought my cat in for testing and a new vet was handling her case. The new vet, Dr. Tisnado, would talk over me and not listen to anything I said. She also was very condescending and jumped to conclusions. I decided to hang in there and try to reach out to Dr. Baker. Later I found out Dr. Baker had left the practice.A month later, I had not heard back from the vet as they were supposed to do a follow up appointment for my cat. I called them to schedule it and talked to Dr. Tisnado again. She got very snippy with me on the phone and again would not listen to me. Ultimately I made the decision to go elsewhere for my cat's care. I am sure Dr. Tisnado is a great vet and very well trained but her personality and bedside manner did not mesh with what I need from a vet in caring for my cat.If another vet becomes available at this location, I would be willing to try again as it is very convenient to where I live.

just a great group -- doctors, techs and assistants. i have taken my cats and dog to them for years. they have even suggested ways i could save money on expensive procedures! when i had to have my cat Louie put to sleep, they couldn't have been nicer -- even sent a sympathy card. the kitten i subsequently adopted was one i saw in their window. (they also foster and try to find homes for strays.) i couldn't recommend them more highly.

The staff at Gayton Animal Hospital is AMAZING! They are so thoughtful and smart. I have been to many different vet clinics over the years and found this office to be the most honest and caring. I have a relative who previously worked in this office who was also thoroughly impressed with the care that the staff shows to their clients (human and otherwise). She told me that all of the staff genuinely loves animals and treat the animals as if they were their own both in front of their clients as well as when the doors are closed.

I found everyone at GAH to be friendly towards me, and affectionate towards my pet. The receptionist, tech, and vet were all very professional and warm. I felt good having them care for my precious little cat. They followed up with lab results in a timely manner with a personal call from the vet. It was clear that they understood how much my pet means to me. I love this place.
