Both doctors at this office are excellent. The entire staff care about the pet and the owner. They are not telling the owner to do things for their pets just to make money it is for the health of the animal. Best of all they try to work with scheduling so I can go after work. I'll skip the hyperbolic language and go straight to the facts. This vet is competent and professional, clearly cares for the dogs, and is accommodating with work schedules. I found the advice they gave to be accurate and they never asked me to come in "just in case." On several occasions Ieft with only the exam fee because treatment would have just been taking my money, a fact the vet told me to my face (though it does bring to light my tendency to be a doting dog owner....) I trust this vet to treat my dog and not take advantage of my wallet. The doctors and staff here are very friendly and professional. They took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel like me and my dog were a priority every step of the way. I can't even put into words how disgusted I am with this place. I bring my sweet babyboy in one day, he's diagnosed with a upper respiratory infection and told he'll be fine in a few days, then about 24 hours later he's gone. The reasons I was given as to why he's gone, I don't believe at all. I feel as though it's from the steroid shot he was given maybe causing a clot in his heart. If that's the case, why still use soemthing so bad?? Why not say he'll be fine in a few days as long as the shot I just gave your child dont kill him. I was so overwhelmed with this clinic. I never thought in this day and time I would be able to find a clinic that is truly there for my pet. I wasn't rushed and the staff explained everything in detail. Products were available if you needed them, but weren't pushed down your throat. This is not a typical Veterinary Clinic. I cannot say enough good things about varina veterinary clinic. I brought my cat in to them when she was having an issue with her leg. After calling 5 different clinics in the area and getting the "we aren't taking new patients" or "we don't have time to see her today" responses, varina fit us in for the first appointment of the day. The vet gave her an extremely thorough exam and correctly diagnosed her with an abscess. Within 24 hrs she was back to her old self. Today we took our 15 year old dog who's health has been deteriorating to Varina Veterinary Clinic. The staff was kind and the Doctor knowledgeable and understanding. Although today was one of the toughest, we truly felt at ease by the patience and guidance of the people who work here.
