I am very impressed with this vet clinic. After adopting a pet from the SPCA we were referred to VCA Animal Hospital for a free exam. We decided to switch our seasoned pet from a previous clinic at the same time...since it is closer to our home. We brought both dogs in Saturday and saw Dr Poage. From the first initial phone call to schedule, to checking in, to being called back with the vet tech, and then meeting Dr Poage - every bit of the process was awesome. It is nice to give your money to people who give excellent customer service and who are passionate with what they do. The staff is so friendly and caring! From every aspect, we are pleased. Best. Vet. Ever.

I can not say enough amazing things abiut the team here. We were greeted with a smile from the young lady at the desk. She checked over our appointment information and notified the Dr we were here. Dr Walters saw us as her last patient of the day with a very sick cat. She took time to look over him and explained our options. We went home with our cat and a course of action laid out and a plan for a follow up directly from the vet in 48hrs. We were also told if we had any questions or concerns to call back and we would be able to speak with someone. We didn't need to as their initial plan was working well. It was nice to hear directly from the vet and not someone off site that was looking over a file and reading a script. The team here are all very friendly and great to work with and you won't go home worried about if the choice you made is the right one.

This was our first experience with Valley Animal Hospital and we could not have been more pleased. Dr. Muncy and all of the staff at VAH were wonderful and provided excellent care for our sick puppy....

We love valley animal hospital! I can't recommend their whisker club enough! We have a newfoundland which is a very big and very hairy dog, most places want a fortune to groom him but valley animal has by far the most reasonable prices we've found. I also feel beyond comfortable leaving him there because I know he'll be well taken care of. They do an excellent job and he looks beautiful when they're done. We have seen just about every vet that works there at some point and each and every one of them are great. I have called countless times with questions and have always been greeted warmly and felt like the person who answers the call is helpful and kind. You can tell that all of their staff genuinely cares about animals and their job is more than a pay check to them. My husband and I have had several pets over the years and been to several different vets in the roanoke area but we have never been as happy as we are with valley animal hospital. We would never go anywhere else now.

I was told by the Vet at a previous visit that a dental cleaning was $190. The bill was $324. They required a fecal exam, unnecessary vaccines and much more additional. A hazardous charge of $9. They have turned a government-mandate into a revenue generator. I have experienced this before where the estimate is doubled or more with no up front explanation. I don't see any difference in this and stealing and would advise you look for another vet. They obviously get together to fix fees so it may be best to get the treatment planned in writing and signed.

I have been a client at Valley Animal for years and years since Dr. Ayers was there. They are all wonderful, compassionate and caring from the first step into the lobby until you leave. If it were not for the staff and vets my diabetic girl would not have been here today but she is a beautiful 4 year old German Shepherd thanks to their care and time with her. I would not trust the health and care of my pets to anyone else.

We were referred to Valley Animal Hospital by a friend. Our friend raved about how wonderful the clinic is and how attentive the staff and doctors are to their patients. Well, our 1st visit didn't disappoint. We are beyond pleased with the care our 12 year old shepherd mix received. He loved being greeted at the door and all the attention he received from everyone. Going to the vet was a good experience for the whole family!

I am very impressed with this vet clinic. After adopting a pet from the SPCA we were referred to VCA Animal Hospital for a free exam. We decided to switch our seasoned pet from a previous clinic at the same time...since it is closer to our home. We brought both dogs in Saturday and saw Dr Poage. We love valley animal hospital! I can't recommend their whisker club enough! I was told by the Vet at a previous visit that a dental cleaning was $190. The bill was $324. They required a fecal exam, unnecessary vaccines and much more additional. A hazardous charge of $9. We were referred to Valley Animal Hospital by a friend. Our friend raved about how wonderful the clinic is and how attentive the staff and doctors are to their patients. Well, our 1st visit didn't disappoint. We are beyond pleased with the care our 12 year old shepherd mix received. He loved being greeted at the door and all the attention he received from everyone.
