Great place to take your pet. Only thing I don't like about the place is the wandering cat. I'm allergic to cats so every time I have to take my dog I leave with a nasty cough and sneeze. The people here at the clinic are very kind and dedicated to making sure that your pets are in good health, taking care of your animals needs, and they are very good with helping any animal who is in need for emergency treatment. I cannot express how wonderful this clinic is, they took care of our precious Tina for 14 years, and it was always warm and friendly service. The day came we had to put Tina down, and they were so very compassionate. Although they had a busy schedule they made time to come to home for this. Which we are so very thankful. They never rushed us to give the ok for the procedure as we told Tina goodbye. After words through my tears I offered to pay, they said it could be done later, which I really appreciated, as I don't know how I would of counted the money through my tears and emotions. my 78 year old mother was ill and took her dog to the pet clinic of Rocky mount to try to find him a home. The office manager Jamie made her sign the dog over to the clinic. The next day on February 23 she became suicidal and was hospitalized. The medical team at Roanoke Memorial hospital said she did not know what she was doing and that I should see if I could get her dog back. The office manager refused and became very rude with me. I asked to speak with Dr. Lorens. She said the Dr. told me to come get my mothers dog and pay the fees. I went there today and was escorted to a waiting room. She then entered with another employee and I was told to leave. She then called the police on me. Read Less

Compassion, character and selflessness...that is what Dr Lorens and the staff here have an abundance of. Always going above and beyond for the animals,as in the case for Leia. A great example of human kindness and love. Moved to being unable to speak, as I have seen tears fall from the staff's eyes over animals that arent even theirs. It has been brought to my attention that at your clinic there is a young, registered Pekingese by the name of Scooter that belongs to my grandmother. As you have been informed, I am sad to say, that my grandmother is currently being held in a mental care facility against her will out of the necessity for her own well being. Immediately prior to her medical internment she visited your practice looking to find Scooter a home other than her own. My grandmother's medical staff strongly recommended that we ensure to get Scooter for my grandmother when she, we pray, is in a better state of mind. The staff at your clinic have gone out of their way to make this the most difficult of tasks going as far as calling the finest of Rocky Mount VA to escort a family representative off of clinic property and told to never return. I know that your driving force is to take care of the neediest of animal patients, and I am asking you to help me take care of the neediest of my family. I will never go anywhere else for my pets. The staff were so friendly and Dr. Lorenz was a sweatheart. You can tell these people really care about the animals that they help.
