As you know, some vet visits are a bit traumatic and gloomy... These folks were very accomodating and comforting through the whole process... Highly recommended

I preferred this vet at first over Smithfield Animal Hospital (even knowing they were overpriced) due to the vets and techs. They were super friendly and personable but I have had nothing but problems with some of the receptionists. They’ve talked down to us, not knowing I was once a vet tech myself for years, and belittled my own knowledge. They’ve read our records wrong and even after correcting them, they admit their mistakes yet forget by the next time we’ve had to contact them. My final straw is getting a minimum quote of $500 for an every day surgical procedure. We’ve found another clinic for half of the price and will be using them instead. Read Less

We have been with the Oaks for about 14 years now. I can't even imagine a more qualified and trustworthy group of vets. We have horses and they have taken AWESOME care of them on a regular schedule and have been spot on for emergency calls. The cost involved in Equine care, at the Oaks, is right in line with other Equine Specialists and have combined several packages for routine care that aids in afforability. I have been using the Oaks for my dogs veterinary care for about 5 years now (ever since I moved to Smithfield from Hampton) and have always been very satisfied with them. This morning, on my way in from work, I discovered a kitten that had been hit by a car and left in the middle of the road. I took it home, called them and was up to their clinic not long afterwards. Unfortunately, the vet, Dr. Stiff, told me the kitten had head trauma and the best decision was to have it put down. It upset me greatly, but I followed his expert advice. I want to thank Dr. Stiff and all the staff at the Oaks (in the back and up front) for all their kindness and compassion that they showed me this morning. Read Less
